Re: MAC - Well Defined (Studio Sculpt) Discussion

If we just think of how many foundations are being DC or becoming PRO only, we can probably assume they'll be perm yeah, but who knows

Re: MAC - Well Defined (Studio Sculpt) Discussion

God I hope this is coming in a NC5 (Unlikley, but I can dream!) , i just noticed today while getting my hair done, that my neck is about 3 shades lighter and cooler than my face...Looks like I will be going to MAC if they make lighter shades, I hate looking uneven.

Its going to be squeeeesy! I like squeezy too God my spelling is bad...Now wheres that cuppa green tea to wake me up :-O

I don't think anything can beat #217 brush as a conceler brush. I will be eternally grateful to Samantha and Rachel for pointing it out to me. Sure I lost a great eyeshadow blending brush (until I get a new 217), but I've never seen such an amazing concealer blending until now.

I have the Moisture cover for under eye area in NC20....and then I hear all over the place that if you have dark under eye circles you shouldnt use NC but only NW shades. I wish my MA would know that, I specifically stated i need a good concealer to cover up my dark circles.

Now I put some matte peachy eyeshadow on the black circles first (i use Mac's Tete-A-Tint matte2) and it's a pretty good combo.

Oooooh interesting! I never knew we can use an eyshadow, i always thought just creamy products like lipsticks!!

Re: MAC - Well Defined (Studio Sculpt) Discussion

^^ Got the idea from Koren So i tried it and it really works! But I suppose Tete-A-Tint wouldnt be a good choice for everyone, it depends on your skin tone i guess. I'm pale enough so this one works great

Re: MAC - Well Defined (Studio Sculpt) Discussion

A little off topic from the Studio Sculpt discussion, but do you guys prefer to use the 217 for concelear?? Is the 224 just as good???

I used the 217 SE for concealer and its AMAZING. B/c its such a good blender it really blends the product right in and its a slot softer in that delicate area too. I like it b/c its denser. The 224 would be softer but it would probably do just as good of a job as the 217. But now I have the Sonia Kashuk crease brush and it works just as good.

I don't own any MAC full sized brushes. I can't find the courage to spend so much on these brushes even though they are quality. All I have that is full size is the 182 and the 183, the rest are SE. But I am lemming a full sized 217, 239, 224 and a 242.

Re: MAC - Well Defined (Studio Sculpt) Discussion

whoa, how did i miss this??! i'm really excited about this new foundation! it kinda sounds like it might be the same consistency as MUFE f&b? i hope it is.. MUFE's face & body blends like a dream & feels so great on--but there's no coverage! i hope MAC impresses me with this.

Re: MAC - Well Defined (Studio Sculpt) Discussion

I apologize if this has been asked before, but do we know how much the foundation and concealer are going to run?

TIA!!

I personally prefer the 242. An MA suggested it years ago, and I've used it ever since.

haha i wish this as well!!
too bad there isn't, at least not what i saw- i sampled the nw20 and nw25 so i've been mixing them.

Even though I am a little oily in my t-zone, i still feel like this is a wonderful foundation for normal skin (not just dry skin).

My trainer told us to think of it like Studio Fix fluid, without it drying down to a matte- so it leaves the skin with a "glow" type of finish.

Over my t-zone I just used a little bit of Select pressed powder and I adored the finish!

I prefer the 217. The 224 will work, too, but I like the precision and feel of the 217. I've tried both.

The full size 217 is really, really worth it. The 224 would be my second choice to get the full size of from that list. Mmm, brushes.

i'd say stick with the 217. the 224 is a bit too soft to actually work the concealer into the skin and cover at the same time. the 217 is soft enough to blend it out, but stiff enought to work it into the skin. does that make sense?
