Because no 2 Mac locations can get their B2M policy straight, it's been like this for a couple years now

Probably just a good lusterglass with plenty of sparkle, like lusterwhite, but I am so happy about it, I love it it kind of reminds me by pictures of Little Vi because I ordered that but after seeing the red lippie, should I get more,

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

After seeing swatches :
Ice scape, frozen dream and snowscene lipglasses

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

I keep hearing that the beauty powders are chalky and messy. I was going to get Spectacle but after reading some people's posts about it, I won't get it. I'll get the lippies and I'm done.

argg I know so annoying. I tryed to b2m yesterday at macys for the l/s and they said I couldn't because of the special packaging. Then I asked another ma and she said she didn't think I can either and that the guy who hepled me knows the policies better because he's a trainner.

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

I am so proud of myself. I only got Possum Nose Pink and Hot Frost l/g. This collection was *blah* but I just had to have something from the collection. My wallet is happy, but it will be mad in a few weeks when BBR hits the stores!

Thank you!! You just killed my lemming for the powders!

More $$$ for BBR then!

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

I submitted..I surrendered and got the Hot Frost lipglass and Asiatique nl. I kinda thought it was a lustreglass myself.

But thanks for killing my lemming for Spectacle. I tend to be a sucker for a compact.

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

Ok Im gonna try to miss the highlighting powders if they are that bad...I just wanted a pretty peach one but nevermind.

My list is shart:
Coral polyp
Gladiola
Varicose vein n/p

Im planning on getting the l/g to match those lippies but I might end up getting all 3 since they look so nice.

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

i'm glad i pass this collection.

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

Are these stickers as worse as the Fafi ones?

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

I went back today to exchange Snowgirl l/g that was given to me instead of Snowscene and checked out this collection. But only quickly, because DH was with me!!!

I did state that I wouldn't be getting anything other than Varicose Violet n/l, but really ended up liking Hot Frost l/g. To me, this gloss is more a sheer bright pink than a fuscia and has quite the shimmer to it.

Susanne, the sticker is pretty bad, because all the little edges on the glasses are already coming off, but if I remove it, there'll be a sticky residue that only Goo Gone might get off. I actually prefer the packaging without the glasses though.

To be quite honest, if the packaging on the actual products was like the box, that would've been amazing!

I will see.

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

Based on all these reviews, I'm glad I got the lippies (Hot Frost and Splendid) and probably the Wisteria trio. But I also got Spectacle highlight powder. It hasn't arrived in the mail (I really hate living 3 hours away from any MAC store or counter). I guess I'll try it out but if I can't get it to work (like everyone else lol) then I guess I'll have to return it. I just HATE doing any kind of return. Makes me feel bad. But I'm not gonna waste $26 on something that only looks pretty for the first application. Ugh.

Rubbing alcohol ought to remove the sticky residue.

Then put a wide strip of clear tape over them to make sure they stay on.

For people like Nora, though, who prefer the packaging without, standard rubbing alcohol gets rid of the icky sticky! No need for something like Goo Gone.

put clear nail polish over it.

actually, the stickers on the eyeshadow palette and highlight powders are not too bad. they are the thicker ones and won't peel off as easily

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

I loved the ones from Heatherette... Hope these are similar in packaging.

This was actually the first time I ever b2m and I thought you couldn't do it for LE items but I figured I would ask anyway, and the MA said it was fine - she was very nice and helpful. Are you in NYC? I went to the MAC in the Flatiron building.
From my understanding don't MAC only B2M only at freestanding stores and not counters?????

you can only b2m for lipsticks at counters, stores will give you the choice of eyeshadows, lipsticks, or lip glosses

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

I have had a horrible headache over the past few days, so to cheer me up my honey picked up Gladiola & Coral Polyp for me today! & some real coral polyp zoos for the tank!

I really like both colors. They are both nice to have in my collection, I like having a little variety!

Re: MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

I cracked.
I know I wanted something but wasnt sure. So I b2m'd for a Coral Polyp lipstick and the sticker was partially already peeled off when I got it LOL

The stickers are actually worse than Fafi it looks like those Sandylion stickers that I used to collect when I was 7 years old
