Dear sweet baby jebus, I would *LOVE* to see a Dolly Parton collection.

I think an Aretha collection will be awesome...but yeah, that massively massive ego of hers turns me off...

see...i cant even imagine what an aretha collection would be like. does she wear makeup? i hear names like tina turner, dolly parton, cher, etc. and hell yeah, i can totally imagine it. but aretha? notsomuch.

Aretha is a hot one but not what i expected. I guess we would have to see what MAC will come up with!! i cant really imagine a color scheme though! i would like to see Gwen Stefani or better yet Tina Turner would be madness!!

So if it is Aretha Franklin I am a little disappointed, sure she is an icon in the music world, however this is a cosmetics collection and she does not seem like a makeup wearing lady at least not enough to inspire a colllection. Bummer I wanted to see Gwen Stefani or Debbie Harry that would have been fun!

There was no 2008 Icon. The last one was Raquel Welch in January 2007. Usually the Icon collections consist of two quads, lipsticks & lipglasses in special packaging, blushes/beauty powders, LE brushes, and lashes. They are really big collections!

I just hope that they don't airbrush the crap out of her in the promo pics. Besides Ms Franklin being a wonderful recording artist it is kind of nice to have a plus sized lady rep for MAC.

I'm still pissed that it isn't Prince. Or the "Artist Formerly Know As Prince". Either would have been fine. He is an icon, he wears makeup and he could totally do a collection:

THIS would be my dream come trueee!!!!! Cherry Moon l/s, Kiss l/g, highlight powder in Diamonds and Pearls, U Got the Look falsies, the possibilities are endless. There could even be CCB's in Cream! Imagine a compact with the Prince symbol on it, I'd have a total stroke.

She wears makeup......from the beginning of her career to now! I am so super excited ...... a WOC icon.....and she's near my skintone....my head is twirling with the possibilities....I may have to buy back-ups and double back-ups....YEEHAW!!!
