Wow! That's impressive.....I went and got that one ....couldn't resist! I'll try that tomorrow. It's interesting - the girl at the counter told me the Base Lumiere was for more moisture, and the Blanc one for oily skin....she must have had them reversed. I'll try both and see how I like them.

I also managed to miss the last Kaska Beige, so I'll hold out hope that Needless Markup will honor my order.

I also splurged on a Rouge Coco in Legende and an e/s quad in Murano, which apparently was from last summer and has the most gorgeous green/teal colors!

Ok, you're scaring me - I just this afternoon tried my sample of Legende & loved it on & thought I am so getting that

The sample card Chanel gave me had 4 sample colors to try. I loved all 4 imagine that

That's weird on the 2 bases - i am gonna inquire about them from Chanel.

Hmmmm....maybe we're twin daughters from different mothers!

Very hard to imagine - NOT!!!

I wish I had gotten a sample - when I first scoped out the colors I was pretty meh......but there were a couple that I found interesting.......

I have very dry skin and sometimes my foundations (mufe hd and mufe face and body) can look caked up on certain areas if I don't exfoliate and even then, my skin can look dull. But since I've been using the primer, everything has changed. I think it does moisturize my skin without making it look oily (can't imagine anything could make my dry as a desert face look like that anyway). I see the pearl (?) in the product when I squeeze some of it in my hand.

Kaska Beige was something I was lemming, but they can be duped with Mac shades, so I had to let it go even though it was soooo tempting.

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

Murano is from last fall and I really like it. I can do a smokey green look or a sheer, shimmery green look, depending on how I use and combine the colours.

ITA. I think you really have to try them on, unfortunately. Which ones were on the card elegant? Are you feeling better about the scent now? I have Mica in my cart now thanks to all of you! I want Spark now too, but I have Chantecaille Glee which is a similar color (I think?) on its way to me, so I don't really feel like I can justify it. If you have not tried Chantecaille Brilliant glosses you need to! The texture is very different from both MAC and Chanel glosses, I'd describe it as plush or cushy. Unscented.

PSA: Enjoy complimentary standard shipping with any chanel.com purchase. Valid through 11:59 P.M. EST 5/2/10. And, at least when I was on there this morning, you could choose the Rouge Coco sample card as one of your complimentary samples.

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I want Glee, because I like the musical TV drama a lot. Unfortunately Chantecaille is not available here.

My counters do not have many of the popular US glossimers like Spark, Sundress, Imaginaire, Seashell. I went the counter today and they are not sold here. I swatched Mica and it is like a more milky and softer Astral. My Astral is finishing so maybe I will pick up Mica when Astral is all used up. Astral is my first glossimer!

My counter has Pink Sugar l/l. It's a gorgeous shade of pink!

I am in love with Mademoiselle. I have been using the lipstick for a few days in a row and I keep reaching for it day after day.

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

Miss QQ, can you order from Chanel.com, and do they have any of those shades? I tried checking out Chanel.com Asia and I did notice at least Imaginaire. Also strawberrynet.com might be worth checking out. When I selected Singapore on strawberrynet, I found Chanel Spark, Imaginaire, Wild Rose (and others) and Chantecaille Glee (and others). Chantecaille Flirt is a super pretty coral..see here:

HTH! I'm not sure how much checking out Karla's site helped me as Glee does not look at all similar to Spark on her arm!

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

i had to skip kaska beige too because the colors seemed so dupe-able with MAC ones. But i got nouvelle vague and its a beauty. I might go back and get mistral too.

next on my list is the vitalumiere. the MA tried it on me and feels like skin.

I am just going to finish my MUFE HD first.

on another note: i went to nordstrom today to pick up nouvelle vague for my sister and its sold out already!! i am so sad, i hope it is available online soon. Neiman marcus doesnt show it for pre-sale as someone stated it here, i guess they sold out too.

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

OK, there's a Sak's AND a Needless Markup at Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas......I'm going to hop the tram over there later today to see if I can find Glee.......I am so easily enabled........

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

Have fun! My favorite Chantecaille product is their Future Skin foundation. Love it! Also check out Narcissia lipstick and the Lip Chics, esp Tea Rose. And their Lip Contour Fill is pretty amazing.

Lol, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who calls it Needless Markup! Be careful, the Fashion Show Mall is dangerous. So are the Forum Shops!

Hmmmmm...... Forum Shops? Yikes. My wallet is in serious trouble! I just went to the Outlets and scored a Vanilla pigment (which shockingly I don't have), the Devil May Dare palette (with Sorcery, which I just bought ), and a backup of the Naked Honey salve.

Going to hit the mall tonight after my conference session....thanks for the tip!!

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I just bought Chanel eyeliner in Khaki Dore and I love it! I haven't seen the same color from other brand. It looks more goldish khaki than bronze...I think the color is sorta unusual so I bought it and so far I am happy

Legend, Mademoiselle, Cambon, Egerie (sp) - I loved all of them on. Yes, the scent seems to be ok for me now the samples did not seem to be scented.

Legend & Mademoiselle were my favorites.

I LOVE the Chanel free shipping! (I think)

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

Susanne, i think you should give the new l/s a try. I am so pleased with them formula wise.

I have yet to get Ruban Rose, which will be the last one for me. So far my absolute favourite is Mademoiselle.

I tried Muse today, and while it is very flattering on me, it's similar to my lip colour, a bit richer and with a nice sheen but... I should've stuck with my gut instinct and returned it before I used it. It leans more red than pink on me, therefore, I doubt I'll use it much.

Apparently the Rouge Coco was formulated to re-introduce women to the glamour of lipstick. I think for girls like you who wear lipgloss mostly these lipsticks are perfect. I'm a lipstick girl through and through and I still love them.

I still need to get Mademoiselle loving the formula of these

Maybe force yourself to wear it a few times and see if you feel differently? For some reason with these I've been choosing really different shades than I'd normally wear and I've surprised myself with how much I like them. I guess I see them as a splurge and I can't see paying $$$ for something I already have lots of.

That's so true! I also picked out colours that are unique to my collection (which consists mostly of light pink, pale pink, shimmery light pink, light peachy pink... point made!!!). I'll have to give it another try I guess. I was hoping it would show a bit more pink.

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I just checked out the Chanel Les Pop-Up Collection and it is gorgeous!! The green nail polish was already sold out and the Chanel Brilliant Lip Shines feel so good on the lips. I picked up the last one available in Pop. Just when I thought Glossimers got me, these Lip Shines just took it to another level. This collection seems to be flying off the shelves.

woohoo, I cannot wait! My counters still don't have this collex. What did you think of the Rouge Allure lipsticks?

There was a pink (super) and a coral (genial) color available. I love Rouge Allures so these go on very nicely. If you pair the Super with the Laser gloss and Genial with Pop gloss, they compliment each other so well.

The colors look so bright from the tube but are actually flattering. Let me know what you're planning to pick up!

I want to get one of the two new Rouge Allures but I have to try them on first and see. I like pinks a lot but I've been on a coral kick lately so it really depends how I like them in person.

I wanted to be able to get more but I've put myself on low-buy plus I still want a couple more Rouge Coco's as well
