Thanks, I'll check it out!!

Icecaramellatte - The BA did not tell you about the event until after your purchase because, plain and simple she/he has daily sales goals to make and wanted your sale right then. Chanel events generally last two days, fridays and saturdays. They bring in freelancers and appointments are booked in hour blocks. There is generally a mix of new and old customers. The BA or freelancer will spend time applying skincare and then doing a full face of makeup.

If you book an appointment and you do not buy anything, I will be honest, you will probably not be invited to another one. They are considered exclusive - they are only 2 day events and only have so many spaces, they can't invite every single person in their client books. The purpose is to draw business and that means sales. At our counter, you would get a little gift bag full of deluxe samples after a $75 minimum purchase.

Anyway, you posted this a couple of weeks ago, so you may already know the drill....but just saw this and wanted to add my two cents :)

Sorry, I am new here and couldn't figure out how to add your question to this post. I think I've figured it out now.

There will be a new collection coming out in December, called ''Versailles de Chanel''. Some products are mentioned here Auf dem Laufsteg: 2012-13 CHANEL Cruise Show - Produktliste - Bella_Shmella

Highlighter - Mouche de Beaute

Eyes - Ombre Essentielle ''Rose Favorite''

exclusive Limited Edition Collection - Collection ''Versailles de Chanel'' to be sold exclusively in some boutiques in December 2012

and apparently the double c ''beauty spot stickers'' the models are wearing will be available as well.

Cafe Makeup just posted a summary of the upcoming collections. We've seen most of the pics already I think, but the presentation is lovely.

Thanks Anneri. Her summary is fabulous!

Now I know what are the upcoming collections. I'm looking forward to the Fall collection most, and also the cc cream but it is only launching next year. What a long wait. Good thing I just bought the Diorsnow bb cream, the one that Cafemakeup reviewed but in the lighter shade, and also Nars TM, so I guess I can enjoy them while I wait for the cc cream. Btw the Diorsnow bb cream is lovely, but there is a better one (nicer finish and formula and the shade matches me well) from the white prestige range but it is much more expensive too. I tried it and love it, but not the price. The high SPF is great too, as I don't need to apply a layer of sunblock first. The chanel cc cream has lower SPF.

It looks like they are adding items to

http://www.chanel.com/en_SG/fragrance-beauty/Makeup-Eyeshadows-ILLUSION-D'OMBRE---NIRVANA-131207

It doesn't look like anything can be added to a cart.  But I see the new quad- Intuition??,  Nirvana eyeshadow and Fleur de Lotus blush!  I see lots of old stuff, Byzantine quad, blue nailpolish trio, Pleasing Glossimer (my fave!)  I hope I can get my hands on another one of these.

Edit - Oopsie! Now the link doesn't work.  Maybe they were just loading everything now and will launch later.

That's the English version of the Asian Chanel site so that's why you might see some different things there and why you can't add items to a cart.

Oh goodie....another 'exclusive to' collection....I'm really getting tired of these (LMdB especially) but I wonder if chanel.com will also get them.......if not, I guess the hunt begins.  I had good luck with the SOHO store back when SOHO launched, but I hope shipping is free........

Yes, the lips are definitely nice and subtle. I'm falling for the nail polish though. Really awesome. First of all I love those colors and then how they applied them is just fantastic.

Hi ladies! Just popping in to say hello (and sub to updates on this page;)). I am a new Chanel m/u fan (addict...?)

I have purchased, in quick succession (trying to p-a-c-e myself!!):

Illusion de ombré in Emerveille (this started it all, omg what a gorgeous color and product!)
Illusion de ombré in Epatant (once I saw this at my counter under the lighting I thought about the shimmer OH MY several times that day and had to go back and purchase. LOL this is not good, am I right?!

I have also ventured into the RC shines and picked up Aventure but am awaiting an order.

Considering a purchase of the jouer contraste blush next, but so many pretty shades! Also no idea what shade of vitalumiere aqua I would be (NC/NW 20 and nars deauville) so I'm going to the counter. Any thoughts on these?

Any thoughts on the bronze universelle base (the large flat jar)?

Thanks! Have a great day:)

cheerleader.gifYay! A new Chanel lover!  Welcome.

Why thank you icecarmellatte for the welcome! bouquet.gif-- and yep, that's me... I'm trying to be reserved in my Chanel purchases (and really looking forward to the holiday one anyway). I am really very pleased with the quality of what I've experimented with and purchased so far'

Also, listening to you all has been so helpful, and yet another reason why I've been a part of  specktra on and off for years and years now!

Anyway, I just picked up the Prelude quad (such a wonderful set of cool neutrals, wow-- that taupe alone is phenomenal!! And there's not one dud out of the four) and a RCS in Monte Carlo, which is such a fun shade. I couldn't decide and settled on this one. I know I will be back for more as they are fab sheer color, which I love. Looking into a second quad but can't decide on one

I went to my first Chanel event this weekend, tons of fun! The mua used the Eclosion quad for a soft smokey eye (which I thought I could dupe with my MAC but now I'm not so sure; it was very lovely on my skin tone fwiw) with Ambre eye kohl, black Inimitable mascara, JC in Pink Explosion (I think he said), a pinky lip liner (forgot my face chart and this is from memory LOL) and RCS in Parfait ( gorgeous but I have so many soft pink lippies I thought I'd grab Monte Carlo for something different to purchase that day). He used, and I fell in love with, the vitalumiere aqua foundation and pinky shade of concealer (I have hereditary dark circles and this did a great job of brightening that area). It wore well throughout the evening-- first anniversary night with hubby;)

Note to self: I. Must. Stay. Away. from the skin care. Seems dangerous. As in, addictive and pricey. icon_eek.gif received a few samples of the hydra beauty serum to try out.

Thought I'd share my experience from the event in a nutshell. Although that was long-winded, no? Haha

I LOVE tiramisu (the food-- although I do love myself too. You know what I mean. Lol) but with an iced latte too? Yum!

Thanks Miss QQ!

Yes it was fun-- totally worth it, and how much is it fun to sit and relax while an artist (he was great, and obviously loves working with Chanel) plays with makeup with you before a romantic night out. A perfect evening I'd say. winks.gif

Hello!

I am new here to Specktra, but I have been using Chanel for 30 years.  (Yes, I have lipsticks that are that old.)

Looking forward to chatting about my favourite addiction and my drug of choice -- Chanel!  heart.gif

Oh wow, that's a long time. Welcome! You can be our resident expert. Would you by any chance know about what year Evening Red JC came out?

Picked up the Spices quad and love love love it! Also got a sample of the new perfume but I haven't decided if I'm going to buy it yet since I'm also testing out other brand samples.

^^ Are you refering to Coco Noir? I've tried it once and I'm not sure if I will purchase it as I'm thinking of getting other brands of perfume too.

^^^Yeah I was talking about the new Coco Noir.

Thank you for the welcome!  But I'm sure that I am not an expert... only hopelessly devoted to a brand that my mother and grandmother use(d).

Evening Red?  Golly, before 2001...?

I just bought four of the new Luminous Intense -- 109 Rouge Noir; 93 Exaltee; 94 Extatique; and 99 Pirate; plus the lipliner Rouge Profond.

Looking forward to the Blue Illusion collection!

Have a beautiful day!
