Anyway, I just picked up the Prelude quad (such a wonderful set of cool neutrals, wow-- that taupe alone is phenomenal!! And there's not one dud out of the four) and a RCS in Monte Carlo, which is such a fun shade. I couldn't decide and settled on this one. I know I will be back for more as they are fab sheer color, which I love. Looking into a second quad but can't decide on one
I went to my first Chanel event this weekend, tons of fun! The mua used the Eclosion quad for a soft smokey eye (which I thought I could dupe with my MAC but now I'm not so sure; it was very lovely on my skin tone fwiw) with Ambre eye kohl, black Inimitable mascara, JC in Pink Explosion (I think he said), a pinky lip liner (forgot my face chart and this is from memory LOL) and RCS in Parfait ( gorgeous but I have so many soft pink lippies I thought I'd grab Monte Carlo for something different to purchase that day). He used, and I fell in love with, the vitalumiere aqua foundation and pinky shade of concealer (I have hereditary dark circles and this did a great job of brightening that area). It wore well throughout the evening-- first anniversary night with hubby;)
Note to self: I. Must. Stay. Away. from the skin care. Seems dangerous. As in, addictive and pricey. received a few samples of the hydra beauty serum to try out. 
Thought I'd share my experience from the event in a nutshell. Although that was long-winded, no? Haha

Wow! How did I miss this post.  Love Prelude and Love the Eclosion quad.  I never thought of doing a smokey look with it.  Will try it.

I would really, really love to get my hands on this. but I don't think it will happen. I would have to get a CP and also I don't think I can afford it in Sep.

I am still wondering about Notorious........I think I'd have to see someone using it - not the result of the use, but the actual placement on the face, which brushes, etc - as it just seems like such a counter-intuitive color for the cheeks (it doesn't look like a contour color to me).  So I guess we shall see!!  :)

tiramisu, congratulations on your first anniversary!!  Glad Chanel was there to help you celebrate!!

According to the UPS tracking, my Blue Illusion collection is out on the truck for delivery.  I am waiting, with my face freshly washed, for it to arrive so I can try it out.  

I am way too excited about this.

I think I may have a problem.  ;-)

EDIT....  I just uploaded the pictures.  I'm loving the silvery baby blue that is Destination, and the Bleu Aerien crayon (even though I've never been a fan of this formulation).  I may even use a bit of Fantasme on the center of my eyelids -- because I love the sparkle.  This will be a fun set for experimenting!

I posted pictures of the products in a personal album.  (Being new here, I don't know if I did it right, or if anyone else can see them.)

Alas, time did not work on my side today, so pictures were as far as I got.  Tomorrow, though!  ;-)

Chanel National MUA John Fussell was in town today.  I love him!  I had my make-up done by him and my absolute favourite Chanel MUA, Annie Deaver-Faustino.  

Feeling spectacularly beautiful, I picked up the reformulation of Sublimage eye cream, Beaute des Cils (mascara base), and the new eye/cheek/contour Notorious, which I have been eagerly awaiting.  I am seriously considering a backup of Notorious, because it is such an unusual shade -- it's the kind of thing I love.  It is certainly not your average look for cheek/contour... and it is a mysterous surprise on the lids.

Looking forward to the Holiday collection!

Best Things in Beauty says it was on chanel.com and sold out very quickly. I find it hard to believe that no one on here saw it, but maybe that's just me. It's a skip for me either way but I think it will be great on you!

Yes, I thought that was odd too.  But I ended up going to Saks and picking it up anyway.  I've been on a contour kick yesterday.  The SA said they were the only ones that had it.  Don't know if this is true or not but I went to Bloomies earlier and I did not see it.  This was the Saks NYC store if anyone is interested.

I have developed a lemming bordering on an obsession with this. I need to find it, but it hasn't shown up yet at my Chanel counters that I've seen. Unfortunately, I can't hit all of them every day...

I got mine at my Sak's counter.  If you have one near you, it may be worth a look.

If it's so difficult to find, I'm going to call my Chanel rep to be sure I grab another before they're gone.

Uh just got the channel aqua foundation and I'm in love!!! I can't wait to do a full review, its water based and applies beautifully :) Replacing my HG Laura Mercier Silk Cream foundation...thats a big deal!! 

Anyone else tried this foundation? How do you apply? As of right now I'm using my Sigma F80

How does NOtorious look on WOC?  Looks like it would look like a bruise on me.

Definitely post, Shontay. My SA emailed asking if I wanted it and I asked her how she thought it would look on WOC. She never emailed me back and I feel like she doesn't need my money then. LOL

I want to try Notorious, but I am afraid of it too.  LOL!  Anyone who is on the paler side tried it yet? 

I think that I will order it to try it out.  It is so unique compared to everything else out there.  Plus I can always use it on my eyes.
