Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

I think these look pretty interesting. I'll probably swirl both sides together so don't have a problem with the size. I hope there's an apricot one or some other color that MAC hasn't done over and over!

Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

I got to thinking that probably spoke too soon about the pricing. I am assuming they are the size of blushes. They could be the size of an MSF and therefore more expensive.

I no longer get back ups, but I must admit that I have two of those long plastic wrapping paper containers full of old back ups. lol Stuff people would kill for: Turquoise pigment, Lightscapade, Pleasureflush, de Menthe, etc.

eSnipe has nothing on me. lol I am wicked fast. I never lose an auction! Don't worry though, I don't do ebay anymore.

Your stomach dropped? I swooned uncontrollably! Especially at the Turquoise pigment. Gahhhh... I'd just stare at it. And be so happy. It'd hurt.

I was wondering where you were once I saw the new info in this thread!

I just think back to when the MB's came out last year, and I was all "I'm staying strong and getting two of these", which I did.... at first. 7 MB's later, I was all "that's it, I'm on a blush no-buy for the next 10 years", which I actually almost accomplished with the exception of Blooming (and 5 MSF's, not technically blush, are they?!). So, the blush no-buy is definitely not sticking, and now I'm planning on staying strong and again not getting more than two of these...

It could be that DH may have a point that I spend far too much on MAC!

The box in the swatch thread says 6g, and I believe that MSFs are in the 9-10g range. Based on that information, I believe the duos would be the same size as the MB released previously.

They are S$37.

MAC's pricing here is almost the same as the US, right? I think it is not overpriced, like in Australia.

Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

they look pretty and hopefully they'll come out pretty on the skin too! i have gentle mineral blush from last year whihc i freaking love and it lasts on my skin for most of the day. plus i've barely made a dent in it!

i'm liking the look of the peachy one of these the most though!

Oh Chad! You don't mean this. You will love them. I can see you sporting the pink one that's in the swatch thread. I bet you break down and get at least one.

Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

I will honestly say I don't like the blushes as a duo. I know some people will like it b/c you get a blush and a msf in one but quite honestly I like them separate. Its less messy?

Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

Not sure how I feel about these, I already have a bunch of MSFs I don't/can't use. But I like the blush/msf combo, but again I already have my holy grail blushes...me kinda confused!!

i think they will be maybe a little bit bigger than the ones from sonic chic? the MB from sonic chic are 3,5 gr...and these are 6 gr?
so maybe a size between msf and mb? i hope so!!!!
msf's are 10 gr and mb are 3,5
the half of 10=5
the half of 3,5=1,75
5+1,75=6,75
so it could be right...
i hate math!

Probably XD

I just hate duos that don't have some sort of barrier.

Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

Meh, more blushes. Honestly Im feeling overwhelmed by all these blushes and msfs. I am a 2-3 blush kind of gal. Eyeshadows on the other hand are harder for me to resist.

That being said, I am curious to see what else this collection holds

Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

If I'm going to wear this stuff swirled together anyways, I don't see the point of it being a duo. Hahahha. Yeah, I really don't want these. I have 5 mineralize blushes. So I'm just going to skip these.

Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

I think that I buy into the hype of of anything "mineralize". I love MSFs and use them daily but I rarely touch the mineralize blushes. Just because part of these new duos look like MSFs doesn't mean that I will use them anymore than the other mineralize blushes I already have. I am going to try my hardest to resist these if I can. I already have too many things gathering dust in my makeup drawers.

Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

i really think that these are just blushes, and not blush/msf duos. the swirly side is prolly just different blush colors swirled together, and not a msf half.

and remember, when these come out it'll be time for the MB rotation, so they're gonna have to fit in the blush section of the mineralize displayer, which means that they'll have to be the same size as the current MB. and remember, even tho these are 6 grams vs. the 3.5 of the current MBs, everythings measured in weight, not size.

just my thinkin'.

Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

If they are for the mineralize line, then there will be 6 of these duos. The more, the better!

Re: MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

That pale pink one looks pretty. I will probably pick that one up and that's it. They don't seem very special but I do like the colors on taht one.
