That is so unprofessional. If I were you, I would go and swatch things, make a list of what I like and then order it online instead, just so that they don't make commision. And if they ask why you're longer buying you can tell a manager why. That is so rude!! My mom is 58 and she still sometimes wears makeup. She went out Friday night and I put butternutty S/S on her and perfect topping MSF and she looked so pretty! And liked them so much that she took mine and gave me some money to buy them back for myself!

I have grand duo also and absolutely love it! My mom is around NC20 also and I've put it on her and both she and I thought it looked really good, she just prefers to use her lipstick as her blush instead of a mineral or powder blush.

I wore Moon River yesterday.. Hardly any color showed up on me (NC35) although I was using a mini kabuki brush that usually packs on the color, but maybe that's because I layered the marbelized part over the solid part on my cheeks. Oh well. I definitely did not see the peachy-pink color that showed on Geeko's cheek swatch. It will look good on fairer skintones IMO, on me it's more of just a glowy sheen. I might use it to layer over my blushes instead.

I'm very happy with the two I got, Love Rock and Hot Planet.

Glad that Hot Planet complements LL (I will be getting it from Sugar Sweet)

I have never seen that happen. I'm sorry you experienced a group of really immature, disrespectful and unprofessional girls. I've seen MA's helping women in their 60's or older and being happy to. I know I'll be wearing make-up as long as I'm around, and if someone has a problem with that, I just may tell them where to go!

I also got the 188 brush but I am not too thrilled with using it with Love Rock... I don't think it puts enough pigment on so I tried the 168 and liked that better.


What brushes are you guys using for Grand duos?
I've been using the skunk brush from the Costco holiday 2008 brush set.

Nora I think you are amazing and say it so well! (both of you, my Cdn buddy and my UK/UAE buddy) Nora-Cdn girl you are implicitly enabling me, I really am thinking I'd like more Grand Duos blushes. They are to die for! (dare I say it, I love the versatility of these, even more than my MSFS! *gasp*)

I am sick....cold, again. Just got over one a week ago, apparently either/or its stress, work, maybe some allergies? who the heck knows.

But I digress. I'd like to get at least one more blush--I don't like really dark ones (ie Love Thing is too much work for me on a daily basis but I LOVE Dainty). So I have Love Rock and Moon River thus far. Is there anything else that'd be good?

That is simply disgusting. These girls should be fired for treating their customers this way. Continue to rock your MAC!

Elaine, Hot Planet is hot on you!

I've been tempted to get these. I played with them again last Friday but I find them a little too shimmery. Despite of that, I thought of buying Love Rock but it was sold out. Even better for me this way.

Those on Team Maybe, maybe you want to get them before they are gone.

I'm also thinking of getting one more, and it'll probably be Love Rock!

I looove both Hot Planet and Grand Duo. If you want a nice warm peachy/corally glow, then definitely Hot Planet. But Grand Duo looks really pretty with the more straight up pink lipsticks. Which of the two do you need more in your collection?

Hope you feel better quickly. I just spent the last week fighting off a cold, it sucks!

Grand Duo reminded me (solid side) of Love Thing from last year. So I hesitated.

I have added Earth to Earth and Love Rock to my collection now...all I need to get my hands on is Grand Duos. Oh...and Moxy, I also got me a Boy Bait. It is soooo beyootiful!!!

i only could afford one duo for now. so, i got love rock .the rest were amazing. but, i'm more of a pink cheek girl. although, i range from every single cheek color possible. lol. so ... yes. love rock. amazing =] they were all soo smooth and shimmery. my type of cheek =]
