I'd get a Quint.  Night Dust is pretty versatile, it is my most reached for palette.

I am curious about this too.

After seeing swatches online, I will pass the Mitzah quint because it looks close to Kaska Beige, which doesn't look good on me. Wallet is happy and so am I!

msqq.. lol I hear ya.

I got the mitzah for a gift to my cousin because her colouring will look fabulous with it.. (C! is getting it for me  ..lol).

I have the Kaska also, and it works on me but then I have not really worn it recently since my hair is a totally different colour now!

will report when I use it again!

The Mitzah quint is much more warmer than it appears on the pictures. For me it is a pass. I have very similar color scheme palette from WW- Vanity and these colors make me look tired. I was hoping Mitzah wold be more neutral version.

Hopefully Dior will release something not frosty again in the future.

I really don't find it appealing. So pass for me.

I recently got a promo mailer from Dior with several products - quint, single eyeshadows, np, and lippies - featuring a teal/purple color scheme.  Of course none of the products were identified by name LOL.  Now I want to get the quint & single eyeshadows (or at least look at them), but I have no idea what to look for.  Has anyone else gotten info on this collection and know the product names?  TIA!

Do you mean this one, the Spring 2012 collection?

Those rosy palettes are so cute and the blush looks divine.

No that isn't it, but now I want the entire spring collection too!  I will see if I can scan the promo card/poster & post pics.  My computer skills are somewhat lacking, so I don't know how it will turn out.  The colors of the collection on the card are definately meant for fall/winter.  Everything is rather dark, and the lipsticks & np are red.

Does anyone know the names of the quint and single e/s in the pics I posted above?  I really am interested in them.  TIA!

^^ The blue quint in your mailer looks like Electric Lights, from summer 2009! I have the quint.

For spring 2012, I'm drawn to Roses quint, the pinks and purples are so feminine. I also like the nail polishes, the green reminds me of Jade Rose!

The Rosy Glow blush is pretty in the pan, but I'm quite skeptical. It sounds gimmicky, and I tried on their Rosy Glow lip balm they had earlier on, and to my disappointment it remained colourless on my lips. At least for a balm if it is colourless it still gives moisture, but if a blush gives no colour what use is it, lol.

I love the clutches and the palettes from Spring 2012... eyelove.gif They are so pretty!

Thank you for the information.  Maybe they are rereleasing something similar?  Why would they send out a new mailer with something released over 2 years ago on it?  I will make my way to the Dior counter today and ask.  I will be really bummed if this quint is no longer available.

^^ Yeah it find it really strange too, since the quint was LE. I hope they give you a good explanation! Let us know!

Well I went by a couple of Dior counters yesterday, and no one knew anything.  The Dior counter at Nordstroms even had posters with images from the mailer hanging from the ceiling right next to the counter.   I kept asking the MUAs about the products that were featured in the posters HANGING RIGHT ABOVE THEIR HEADS, and they all had blank looks.

Maybe these were just promo pics for the brand and not actual products that are going to be released.

Did anyone get the Dior holiday eye palette? I love the packaging, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth it for me to buy it since I prefer single eyeshadows and there's a cream liner in the palette, which I know I won't use.

^^ I'm with you. The packaging is pretty, but I won't use the liner too.

What a disappointment. Anyway, I find Dior seasonal collection very confusing too. They release different items in different countries, and even number them differently sometimes.

I have to admit that I'm drawn to the blush and the Roses quint, but I'll have to see them first.  I was intrigued by the description: "Rosy Glow works in the same way as those gel blushers that turn a different shade on everyone and rely on the heat of the skin to change colour".

Sounds like an interesting new formulation -

Yeah, I seem to remember trying out stuff like that in the 80s. It basically turned kind of an unnatural pink on everyone, with a little bit of variation. I mean, I'm sure that Dior has something a little more sophisticated, but I'm always a little leery of these "one size fits all" kind of products.

I will look at the blush when it comes out, and maybe give it a test to see if it turns pink. I had a Ken doll whose plastic head (hair) changed colour when I put him in the freezer. That is also due to heat loss/gain, right. Heehee.

Cheryl - Yup, Roses quint looks gorgeous. I usually feel underwhelm when I see the quints in person, so we shall see about Roses.

those products always turn super brigh pink on me girlhaha.gif

^^^ one size fits all with colours usually don't work unless you are 12.. lol.

that said, anything like this -- I do remember testing some almay products that had this "fit's your colouring" scheme.. did turn pinky/purple on me.. like I had a bad case of hives or something. .. if not, you just don't get any colour payoff.. I mean nil.

uggh,  Smashbox had some gloss and blush like that, called O-glow or something (real original, huh?) that was fuchsia pink, very clownish.  NO thanks, even from Dior

I really want the smokey khaki shadow set. Ingenue reviewed it on her site. I haven't bought anything Dior in ages and gave away the little bit that I had leftover. This is exciting, though. I hope it's in stock on Sephora before their F&F sale is over.

yes they still have it o glow for blush and o gloss for lipgloss. those are the ones i was talking about lol

That must be it, they either give no colour payoff or turn bright pink. I get no colour.
