Dior Cosmetics Discussion - Page 24

LOL I also change my tune very often when collections are on counter ! But not this time, too green for me. I don't know where to post this : the new eyeshadow collection from Lancôme has just been launched, with 24 shades and a new mascara " regard cinéma " so far I know. I am not a fan of Lancôme ( l'oréal ), I prefer Chanel, Dior, Nars, M.A.C and others but it looks rather pretty. But 26 € the single eyeshadow well it's too expensive I think.

The good thing with Dior quints is their pigments and very classy presentation, I think there a 2 quints : a kaki and a brown one.

are you sure that's the price? because their single eyeshadows are 18$

For the Lancôme eyeshadow ? It's on their official website, actually the Rouge in Love is around 25 €, nail polishes around 17 € and eyeshadows 26 €.  I think it's really too high a price I wish it was 18 € or at least not that high. I will pass on this collection.

You will find more on Chic Profile. The whole summer collection in fact. Fall collections are now on the web, I've just heard luxury products might be more expensive, well I hope not !

Cheryl - I have the Asia exclusive Aurore bronzer. I love the packaging and the powder is very finely milled. At first I use it as a blush with heavy application, since I thought the colour is light, and someone commented that it dulls my face. So now I use it as a bronzer, and I apply my usual blushes at the apple of my cheeks. If I get darker in the following months I'll try it on my cheeks again. Right now I'm still NC20. The packaging is a winner, and the shimmer is very fine. It's pricey but it's the only bronzer I bought this summer and it looks very pretty on my vanity.

Ok now I see ! The " simple " eyeshadows are 18 € ( I don't know if they are discontinued ? ), the new ones are pretty but not the same price ! Definitely I prefer quads, quints either from Dior, Chanel or M.A.C like Lady Grey which is simply gorgeous.

Miss QQ - thanks for the info!  I'm debating getting it - it is such a pretty color that I am very tempted!  I sort of want to see if Sunlight will work for me - the Aurore may be too pale for my skintone (NW25).  I guess I'd better make up my mind before it gets gone!!

Interesting about the Lancome shadows - I quite like the Ombre Absolu that I have collected from Strawberry (Erika F is a fave - I think that's the name) - I don't think these are on the US site yet (I checked a day or so ago).....but yes, that's pretty expensive.......

My Nordstrom had the the fall collection out.

I saw the gold polish, the Jungle palette, blushes and the brown quint. They didnt have the grren items I was most interested in- Khaki polish and khaki quint.

The Jungle palettes have a glitter overspray on them, under they are matte I think.

The brown quint had also some mattes in it.

The blushes didnt look like they are pigmened and swatched chalky. I have never tried Dior Blush before.

Will wait for the khaki quint and polish.

Some info and pics of the fall collection. The khaki nail polish is a crackle top coat, and the swatch looks like croc skin lol.

Cheryl - I think I read that the bronzers are perm, but I'm not certain.

I want regular polish, not crackle

Oh no! Me neither ssad.gif

C! Erick F was a hotttttt seller.. it's a wonderful colour and should be fantastic on your eyes.

oh.. pink pearls are being strung!.. ha.

mercifully I don't much like anything this season from Dior.sigh.gif

Ooooo la la!!!  I love Erika F. - I wish I had 2.

Nothing 'wows' me atm either.....and crackle polish from Dior?  Really?

eeek, no croc skin on my nails please!

I ordered the brown quint - it looks like it might be similar to Iridescent Leather, but we'll see......

I saw the Dior items for the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and am interested in the ultra gloss in Draped Lilac. Is there any dupes for this color?

Sorry for butting in and being way out of date, but I've just hit pan on my Dior Aurora bronzer! It is my holy grail bronzer and I am super scared now! Does anyone know of a dupe or anywhere these are still available? Until now, I'd yet to hit pan on a blush/bronzer - I thought I rotated them enough that this day would never come!

I saw this collection in person and ended up with only the golden savannah quint.  Everything else did not impress me that much.  I "don't get" the crackle polish either.

What do you think about the lipsticks?

Wild and Daring appeal to me....but unfortunatly I have only seen the promo pics so far.

Daring seems really nice - here are a few swatches!

And from a different blog:

Daring seems a better shade for me than Caractere, actually. At least pics of it seem more true to its actual colour than Caractere, which seemed awfully light on Christine and totally different from he promo pic!

I think the old Aurora from 2011 and this year's Aurora are supposed to be really similar. Or was it a different shade from this year's bronzers? shrugs.gif But I think if you google some pics, a comparison pic will show up.

Thank you so much Anneri!

Daring is really very pretty....I like it a lot and might get it.

Wild does not appeal to me anymore after seeing the swatches.

I wasn't too excited about them simply because I have similar shades in my stash.  If you have nothing like them, however, then you may want to try them.

Thank you Haven!

I think that I have similar shades and that is why I might only get Daring. It is a perfect shade for Fall and it might be hard for me

to resist blush-anim-cl.gif

I'm not exactly sure when this will be hitting stores, but there are some nice nudes in there. I'm tempted to try one just to evaluate the formula.

It's funny, because this reminds me quite a bit of the Armani "Skin Lacquers" collection that just came out- shiny, semi-sheer nude lips.

^^ They look pretty! I like Rouge Dior more than Dior Addict. My counter don't have the RdA Sheer yet!

Has anyone seen this TaIlleur Bar eyeshadow palette? I have the one with the blue background that was released a couple of years back, but I haven't receive any news that this palette is coming to my counters. The pale pink looks very pretty.

I am dying for this nude collection!!!!!

I want all the lipsticks!!  and the idea of a real nude lippencil is amazing....plush the nail polishes look nice...oh I need to save my money!!

Here is some info on the new Dior Nude foundations. Are they replacing the Diorskin Nude? I have the current powder and I love it, although 20 is the closest match but slightly too pale for me. Are the nude lipsticks part of the launch?
