MAC - Colour Craft Discussion - Page 119

Re: MAC - Colour Craft Discussion

Ok, here's my review about this collection:

Lipsticks:
All were so pretty! I'm leaning towards Madly Creative and Made With Love. I didn't swatch the lipsticks since they are too pretty!

Lipglasses:
Everyone should get Eclectic Edge!! It's a gorgeous purple lipglass to have if you don't own any! It would look pretty with Lavender Whip or Fashion Mews. Funky Fusion and Nice Mix Up attracted me! I wanted to get them but I didn't want to spend too much. Also, Pretty Pattern and Miss Marble looked pretty too.

MSFs:
I was blown away by Cheeky Bronze! When I swatched it, it looked gorgeous! That and Smooth Merge are on my list! I didn't swatch the other 5 since they look gorgeous!

Blushes:
I swatched every single blush there!!!! I loved all of them!! I do want to get all of them but the only two that I'm attracted to are Improvise and Cheek & Cheerful. Style Demon was also amazing!

MES:
I didn't bother to swatch them since I'm passing on them.

Brushes:
I only saw the 109 brush but not the 226 (which I already own and will need a second one) and the 131 brush (it's on it's way and I can't wait to get it!).

Re: MAC - Colour Craft Discussion

Can you guys pleeeeease help me??? I have some questions!!!

Since neither Nakeds Honey or Color Craft have been released here yet, what to do:

- Get Buckwheat and Creme De Miel, or go for Natural Flare??? I love neutral shades, but I cannot get all those e/s. I already own Bronze ,Romp and Time & Space, and lots of e/s that looks like Bronze LOL

- Get Queen Bee l/g or Nice Mix Up l/g??? I already own many orangey and peachy l/g, like Utterly Posh for example, but I love those kind of colors so I'll just get one!

-For the MSBs, what do you think about Improvise, HandFinish and Cheek & Cheerful?? I own 2 MSBs, Nuance and Pleasantry. I'm only NC25 but I need to apply Nuance twice. Is HandFinish similar to Fleurry ( colorwise) ?? Is Cheek & Cheerful similar to Nuance or Sunbasque (colorwise) ??

Re: MAC - Colour Craft Discussion

Tish, I have worn it twice.

Once over Joyous bpb because you know me and Made for Love l/s are sleeping with each other and another time over something else but now I can't remember and it was just yesterday. I like it and mine has a lot of gold veining, and it didn't leave a lot of glitter, I used the 138/150 I think to apply.

Oh no, I was not bothered with the glosses whatsoever. But now you´ve tempted me. I don´t have many glosses to begin with and if you say they´re great then I should at least check them out. How different are they compared to the dazzleglasses?

To be honest i'm undecided about the face products
I've never been matched at mac to a foundation but i'll just guess with nc15 i'm a pale ass so nothing too too dark as i couldn't pull it off.
With the msfs i'm leaning towards smooth merge and i want one other but not sure which other to get???
MBs i really wish i would be able to get Style Demon to work but i doubt i could. I'm just thinking Daft Pink as i don't really have anything too similar and Hand Finish because of the raves and also the way it looks on Ernie.
However saying all this i'm completely undecided :S.

I have msfs like Petticoat,Porcelain Pink, Light Flush, Blonde and Redhead.
I have no mineral blushes but blushes i have include ones like Fun and Games, Tippy,On a mission, Sunbasque, Dollymix, and Coygirl.

MES i think i'll skip because i depot my shadows so the ones i have already get left out.
Lippies the ones i want are sold out here (Color crafted and made with love)
and the lipglasses don't interest me atm.

Woooo that was a long post

Blogging, and work, and more blogging! It is so nice to come back and catch up with you all after a break. It feels like coming home.

And TamEva, I am so thrilled to see you back! Welcome back hot stuff (though I am probably late with that too)

Yea, trust me, you NEED hand finish
And I LOVE girlish Romp. That's what I had on yesterday with hand finish. I used the pink on the inner part of the lid, the peach shade on the middle, the violet on the outer, the white part as my highlight, and I used the darker purple from eccentricity on my crease. I'll try and post a pic today.

It will look very pretty on holiday when I visit Florida.

Nice Mix up did not work.
IMO- The HANDS DOWN BEST bronze look is with refined golden and eversun from the style warriors collection. I bought both of them from tish's and every1 here's enabling and I don't know what I did wthout the 2. They are HG worthy. I'm pretty pale, but when I use these, I just have such a healthy glow. LOVE THEM!!!! I can't wait to try cheeky bronze with them, might be a great addition to the 2.........

Hand Finish definitely (although all blushes are gorgeous!)

My MA was REALLY pale and she rocked Style Demon. It looked hot on her,Which was why I bought it! She just used a light hand. I think if you really like SD you should give it a try. At least you know you could always bring it back if you don't like it.

My girl friend bought Fashion Frenzy blush with the Fafi collection, and it's stunning on her!
Thank you very much, I shall see about searching for Love Rock!

Does anybody else find that their liquid foundation colour is darker than their powder foundation, for example, one MA told me that NC40 was my colour for liquid foundation, but for studio fix powder foundation, another MA matched my skin to NC30. It is supposed to be like that, or has there been a slight mix up somewhere? Any advice would be great, and much appreciated! xx

Re: MAC - Colour Craft Discussion

I was wanting to skip this collection to save up for Illamasqua from Sephora but when I went into Macys I just couldn't resist! I ended up getting Porcelain Pink, Triple Fusion and the 131 brush. I already have the 226 from BBR. Porcelain Pink shoes up really nicely on my NW15 complexion when I spray my brush with Fix + beforehand, just FYI.

NC40 in liquid foundation and NC30 for the powder? I thought powders are supposed to be slightly darker than the foundation that you are matched with.

Oh really? Something must have gone wrong somewhere! I think it might be the lighting. In this one store, Selfridges (London), it is indoors so the MA might have missjudged my colour. Or perhaps it was at a time where I just came back from holiday so must have been more tanned.

Thank you for the information though. I think I shall have to go again to a MAC store and find out my skin tone!

Re: MAC - Colour Craft Discussion

when i got home the first thing i did was show my hubby my black box of goodies! even he said how pretty smooth merge looked and said the gloss was "funky"! btw i wore e edge gloss this afternoon and it rocks! not sticky at all - pretty colour too, just a shame i had to dip 3-4 times just to get good coverage!

Re: MAC - Colour Craft Discussion

Quick question: I know that a lot of people have been comparing Moon River and Hand Finish. I have Moon River and try as I might, I can barely get it to show up on me (NC20 - probably closer to an NC25 right now, but I never get darker than that). I'm using a 129, which works out well with my other blushes.

I just bought Daft Pink. I'm kind of lemming Hand Finish now though, after hearing everyone saying now nice it is.

Should I even bother with Hand Finish if I can't get Moon River to show up on me? Is it the brush I'm using? I also have a 134 that I love for my MSFs; might that work better? Might it do me good to buy a duo fibre, like the LE brush in this collection? (131? I can't remember the number, haha)

I'm pretty new to venturing out into really playing with blushes and face products, so any help (or enabling) would be appreciated.

Re: MAC - Colour Craft Discussion

^^ I use a 109 for my mineral blushes, you can get a good amt of color if you want and it allows me to buff away the glitter
post #3566 of 4698

Re: MAC - Colour Craft Discussion

I don't think hand finish is that close to moon river IRL. Hand finish has a buildable coral colour that moon river does not.

I have Moon River and i use the 129 as well. try grabbing your blush with your brush and lightly spraying it with fix+ then buff it into the skin,I find that works really well. im a nc35-40ish an i can still wear it. it shows up an a light pinkish color

Oh btw I'm wearing girlish romp today and OMG the whiteish colour is to die for, reminds me of solar white as a highlight. Peach colour inner lid, pink outer lid, lavender shade crease, 100 strokes and carbon in crease, outer v. White shade from girlish romp as highlight. Yum!

^^^ ENJOY!

I LOVE all the lipgloss - still! But, I agree with what Erine said, I hate that it wipes all the gloss off the wand! Eclectic Edge is so gorgeous. So is Crazy Haute & I love love love Miss Marble
