Am i a really bad MAC customer for doing this?? On thursday when i went into my local counter to buy my Sugar Sweet haul i noticed that they had the wrong e/s out for sugar sweet. I had an overwhelming need to point this out to the MUA. Is that really bad or what??

Re: Annoying Customer

^ I don't think it's bad as long as you weren't rude about it. It is their job so you'd think they would know... I personally don't like it when I get an uninformed MA. But I guess everyone makes mistakes sometimes

No ..as long as you're not "know it all" about it.

Re: Annoying Customer

Sometimes you have to be 'careful' should I say because if they sell out of an LE product sometimes they will put the most similar perm. line e/s out in its place in the hope of increasing it's sales temporarily.

Personally if it were me I wouldn't point out mistakes - I wouldn't like it if someone did it to me at work, best just leave the MAs to discover it. But then again I'm a very non confrontational person.

Re: Annoying Customer

i wouldn't point it out as i hate it when people point out things to me about my job that really pisses me off.LOL
Im a nurse and you always get patients or relatives trying to tell me about medical conditions etc and im like, helloooo i think i know!!!!

I think sometimes they substitute sold out items for perm ones as well.

Re: Annoying Customer

Anytime I have gone to my local store and they have sold out of the LE item, they will put a perm item in it's place as a dupe. It keeps the collection looking complete and allows people to still get a colour that is similar.

That might not always be the case though. You could always just ask by saying.. "I heard there was an eyeshadow called such and such with this collection?"

Re: Annoying Customer

I was at the store to check out Sugarsweet items last week and I saw Satellite Dreams instead of Stars N' Rockets.

Re: Annoying Customer

She was fine about it and didn't realise her mistake. I did apologise for being an annoying customer and the MA said it was ok. Got the impression she was in a tizzy cause she was on her own and trying to put out Sugar sweet etc She was fine with me when i went in on the weekend. I know what its like to have no it all customers i get them all the time lol

Re: Annoying Customer

Hmmm. That would annoy me actually. When we run out of the new collection products we have to put out replacements from the main range so that we arne't promoting stock that is out. However I totally understand wanting to see te limited edition stuff on the displayer! I have always said to my managers I think it's better to put a 'sold out' stickter on the item and leave it out. A lot of customers buy stuff from the collections thinking it is limited edition and it's actually just a replacement from the core range. And as a customer I would want to see the new colours so I could at least buy them online or at a different mac shop and know that it was a certain colours/texture on my skin. But I wouldn't point it out to the girls as they are employed to know whats the happy haps But don't worry. Sometimes the need for perfection gets the better of me too! I used to work in a music shop and whenever i'm in hmv i find myself wanting to alphabatise stuff!
