how about a paint pot? you could get a neutral coloured one for all your starflsh shadows!

That sounds like a lot of powder, but it works well for me as long as I don't pack on the powder.
Alternately, you might try wearing a neutral Shadestick underneath.
It's worth a try ...
Awesome tip!! I use TFSI and paint pot.

I haven't actually used Smoke & Diamonds yet! Shocking, right? But I hardly put on eye makeup, so it will take me some time to get to it. Now that I've mentioned it, I think I'm going to try to use it tomorrow (hopefully!).
I'm pretty sure you looked totally outrageous!! Do tell us how you did with S&D.

Re: MAC - Love that Look Discussion

Saw S&D at my CCO and thought about getting another one but I hardly use it since I only use it if I'm going out at night. I also swatched Talent Pool e/s and I love the duochrome! I shall pick that up next weekend!

I agree too!!

I was counting they repromote it since I missed it, but they didn't.

Re: MAC - Love that Look Discussion

Wait what?! Talent Pool is a duochrome? Let me guess, it flashes gold? Damn, now I want it!

Re: MAC - Love that Look Discussion

^Yes, it has a green, turquoise duochrome when I swatched it.

Yes, I want to lose my paintpot virginity soon. haha

Re: MAC - Love that Look Discussion

Yay for the sudden display of affection for Talent Pool.

I don't own a paint pot yet, but I do have 2 s/s!

Do you apply p/p with fingers or a brush (if so, which brush)? I was thinking if I dippped my fingers into it, it'll be kinda unhygienic.

Re: MAC - Love that Look Discussion

^ Hi Winnie!!
For Paint Pot, I use a concealer brush or a 217. If you want to dip your finger, then I suggest using some disinfectant gel right before.

I didn't get Glamour Check! Neither the first nor the second time...

Re: MAC - Love that Look Discussion

I wore Smoke & Diamonds yesterday, I think it's just an ok color though. Maybe I'm too used to bright crazy colors so S&D looked kinda tame to me.

Re: MAC - Love that Look Discussion

I like Smoke&Diamonds when I put it all over my lid, then a bit liner smudged and mascara. There's all I need for a quick smoky eye. And I like it's subtle so I can wear it anytime. It's also nice as a crease color with for example vanilla on the lid. But I know it is very neutral so it might be too subtle if you like very bright colours! Maybe if you pair it with some brights?

Yup I put it all over my lid too, that's how I wore it. I wanted to smoke it out with Carbon, but my mom was rushing me to get out of the house so I didn't have time to do that. I usually wear bright colors like purples and blues, so yeah this was kinda neutral and dull for me. I might try mixing it with brights next time though, thanks for the suggestion!

Re: MAC - Love that Look Discussion

S&D is an amazing e/s! I've paired it with Silver Ring e/s on the inner corner and S&D on the outer corner. So pretty!

Re: MAC - Love that Look Discussion

Now that I thought about it, I think I want to try it with Stars n' Rockets and Vibrant Grape...with a hint of pink opal pigment!

I usually apply P/P with my finger. But if with a brush I use the 217 or 231.

I have all of the Starflash e/s and my favorites are Glamour Check and Go. Surprisingly S&D didn't "wow" me like I thought it would. I actually gave my backup away to my BFF because I don't think I'll hit pan on my first one. I really don't know what to do with Sunset B.

Re: MAC - Love that Look Discussion

Hypathya- you must get it this time it's such a pretty brown and I could wear it everyday

iheartwarpaint- I didn't get Go but it looked pretty and S&D is nice but I would deffi hit the pan on Glamour Check before that one and I was soo excited for Sunset B but it just didn't do it for me even after packing it on the lid it's just blah

Post a pic if possible! I'm curious to see how it'll turn out.

I know!!! It's gorgeous!!

Starflashes are always released in the summer during my vacations!! The 2 times I was out of the city with no MAC counter around so at my return, I could only pick up what was left!

Go is so pretty, a very good brown that is not too warm! I don't know either what to do with Sunset B. It definately needs more experimenting.
