MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion - Page 6

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

This is my list so far:

Photo realism quad
Crest the wave e/s
Violet Trance e/s
The perfect cheek blush

And maybe Haunting, but I seem to remember passing on it when McQueen came out because it was so chalky?

I also realized I'm getting my doctorate a few days after this is released. Guess what I'll be wanting as my PhD gift!

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

My turn...my list:

*Off the Page e/s
*Loving It l/s
*Photo Realism quad
*Brash & Bold pigment
*Push the Edge pigment

not too bad I guess, compared to everyone else's lists.

Does anyone remember if Haunting is chalky? I missed out on it during the McQueen collection.

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

The main reason I'm drooling all over Photo Realism now is that it has TWO VP in it and it's all blues and greens Can it get any better?

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

from all the reviews i've read, it gives a soft silky finish and has good color payoff with very little shimmer. i haven't read much about it being chalky

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

Actually, reviews at MUA have both Purple Showers and Haunting as being sheer and chalky, for the most part. So I'm skipping these for that reason. Unless they've reformulated them, not worth it, when there are so many better items in this collection. Haunting is supposed to be particularly bad. A 2.5 out of 5 rating in Productville doesn't make me wanna go out and buy it.

Aww, Haunting looks so beautiful. Oh well, I'll be removing Purple Shower and Haunting from my list then.

I really like Haunting It has a good colour payoff on a good base.

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

My list so far issss
Haunting e/s
Notable blush

only two things. I'm excited for this collection but anything I can possibly dupe, I will be skipping. I have too much makeup to be hauling everything that's pretty. I'm applying this rule to all of the fall collections :3

I can't wait to see the quads! I think they're going to be my first purchase since BBR!

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

The collection sounds interesting and I would love to see some swatches. But, am I the only one that thinks the lipsticks are not very exciting?

The general description of most lipsticks don't sound very exciting to me, so its best to reserve judgment until seeing the actual product/swatches.

I LOVE f.y.... eyes by Benefit! Best primer ever!

You're not the only one. The descriptions don't really call out to me either, they sound like they're either too dark or too bland.

Susanne, how's the colour compared to Aquadisiac? Are they similar?

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

My wishlist:
Front Lit l/s
Lovin It l/s
Notoriety Quad
Photo Realism Quad
Maira's Magic e/s
Off The Page e/s
The Perfect Cheek Blush

This will likely get whittled down when I see some swatches. I actually like the fact that the UK gets everything later, it gives me time to really consider what I want thanks to all the reviews and swatches that get posted, rather than impulse buying everything!
