Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

I have been using The Perfect Cheek alot lately, and it has become one of my favorite blushes! At first I thought it isn't pigmented and "obvious" enough, but now that I've used it more I absolutely love it! It is the perfect neutral blush for me. I'm terrified I first skipped it but luckily went back for it! I have never finished (or even hit a pan) a blush, but in this case, I think I could.

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

I picked up Off the Page e/s (LOVE!!) at my counter the other day and ordered Crest the Wave from the MAC site before it was gone... I didn't pay much attention to this collection when it came out, and I am sort of regretting that now... headed to the CCO soon... hopefully I can find some of what I am looking for!!

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

^Awesome! I backed up Off The Page e/s since it's a gorgeous color! I haven't used Crest The Wave e/s yet from my Stowaways Quad (I depanned my Stowaways Quad) and I need to think of combinations to go with it. I'm so going to order Violet Trance e/s this week since I have been lemming on a matte purple e/s for awhile!

Susanne, what did you get from this collection?

Lou, you are coming to FL soon? Check the CCOs! I have heard Orlando has the shadows from this collection!

Oh, that was one of my bigger hauls in 2009 I love the fall collections.

I got

Photo Realism quad
In The Gallery quad

e/s Off Page
e/s Purple Shower
e/s Violet Trance
e/s Crest The Wave

pigment Push The Edge
pigment Brash & Bold

blush Notable

l/g Personal Taste
l/g On Display

I had saved money for it and this is what I got for my budget The only thing that has disappointed me is blush Notable. Don't wear it often.

This collection was a real CoC follower for me and I already look forward to Fabulous Felines!

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

^Awesome Susanne! I skipped the In The Gallery Quad because I have Lightfall e/s in my Shadowy Lady Quad and there was no need to own two of them since I don't use that eyeshadow often. I wish I had gotten Purple Shower e/s and Haunting e/s since I was going back and forth with them.

I DO love it!! I am going to get tons of use out of this one. I am already on the hunt for a backup!! It reminds me of Blushbaby, which is one of my HG blushes.

I have only worn it twice, but I do agree. I am thinking of weeding out my blush stash. I pretty much wear the same ones all the time. The Perfect Cheek is in my top 5 though. I love that it will go with any eye/lip combo. It ranks right up there with Blushbaby, Pink Swoon and Personal Style for me.

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

I have been thinking about getting Blushbaby for awhile now. It looks like it could be the kind I could use alot (just like TPC and Personal Style)! And Audrey, now you got me wanting to check out Pink Swoon! I have been loving my pinks lately (well, I'm always loving pinks ) and I keep wispering to myself that I need a new pink blush...

Btw, I'm stuck here in London because of the vulcanic ashes, I have no idea when or how I will get home!

Oh no! That stinks that you are stuck Hope things clear soon and you can make it back home.

If you like TPC, you will like Blushbaby as well. They are similar, but TPC is a little lighter than Blushbaby. And Pink Swoon is my HG pink blush. It can be layered on to make the color more intense, but it is the perfect pale pink for my NW15 self. With alot of pink blushes, I find myself having to use a really light hand, or buffing it out to make it lighter if I put on too much, but Pink Swoon is the perfect pink everytime. It looks quite chaulky when you swatch it on your hand, but looks much different on the cheek.

I hope your airline/insurance is paying for the extra long stay, PinkB.

Thanks dear! It is such an unusual situation so I think everybody is on their own, it read on the newspaper that it would be impossible for the airlines to cover the hotels for thousands and thousands of people. I do like it here but it is a bit worrying not to know how things will go and when!

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

Yeah, it's a pretty weird to have this uncontrollable natural disaster going on, and nothing dangerous is really happening, but no one can fly. It's like travel suddenly jumped 100 years back in time.

I hope the cloud moves away soon and that you can go home. It sucks being suck not knowing what comes next...

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

Well now they are saying that it'll probably be at least another 4-5 days. PinkB, what airline did you fly with? I know SAS is running busses from Paris to Stockholm, so if one was a passenger of theirs, and could make it to Paris maybe they'd let you ride along, and then you could take a ferry from here.

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

i know. i feel so sorry for all those how either can't get away or are stuck away from home due to the ash i really hope it clears up soon because otherwise me and nick may not be able to fly in 2 weeks time. and apparently because it's a natural disater our travel insurence doesn't cover anything so we would have lost thousands of pounds

Re: MAC - Makeup Art Cosmetics Discussion

Lou, while it is a force majeure type of incident, a lot of airlines are refunding tickets because of goodwill. So hopefully you could get some of it back.
