Re: MAC - MAC in Lillyland Discussion

^That is why I love Optimistic Orange soo much!

Re: MAC - MAC in Lillyland Discussion

^ me too!!! It's funny though, because it barely shows when you first apply it. I had to really pack it on. I don't know if it was because of the brush I used or what, but I like the fact that I can build it.

It looks like it would come out totally orange, but it comes out more peachy. It almost shows up like a peachy rosy color on me. And when you use a light hand to apply it, you get to layer it until you get the desired effect you are looking for! I also used the 188 brush by the way......

Here is optimistic orange applied a little heavier than the first pic just so you can see what it looks like!
You look positively RADIANT! *runs to add Optimistic Orange and the rest of the lipgelees to my cart*

I hate to be an enabler, but these lipgelees are awesome!!!! If you can't pick all four of them up, then at least get one of them. You might regret not doing so later! The blushes are really awesome by the way

Yea I'm really liking the orange blush! You should definitely get it. If anything you could always return it. I don't have anything like it in my blush collection, so it is a great addition and a nice change to the usual pinks/corals+peach I normally wear!

And as far as your other question- I agree with clslvr6spd! Those would be my exact choices of shadow colors for peach/coral/orange blushes. Only, with smokey looks, it depends on the shadow as sometimes I will wear pink blush as well. But with neutrals and browns, I usually always wear peach blushes. With greens, I choose a peach blush only depending on my lip color.

I was going to order it from the website, but that takes too long to get here. I think I will just go to the counter 5 miles up the road and get it tomorrow. I am more of an instant gratification (read: impatient) kind of girl.

Re: MAC - MAC in Lillyland Discussion

Only1angel - One more question... I can't get allll of the lipgelees right now... I got resort life already. If you had to pick between Shift to Pink and Preppy, which would you choose? I know for sure, that I want Lush and Bright if I get Optimistic Orange. Which would go better with So Sweet, So Easy and Florida?

Re: MAC - MAC in Lillyland Discussion

Audrey, I would be in so much trouble if there was a MAC counter 5 miles from me! Heck, I already get into enough trouble just sitting at home.

I really, really love these blushes.

Re: MAC - MAC in Lillyland Discussion

Optimistic Orange looks GORGEOUS on you only1angel! I have to say...before I was getting all 4 I was only getting Optimistic Orange! lol I loved how it looked even just on my hand. Now I have to get that lipgelee too...I think I will exchange my putrid Glamour for All for it!

Well, right now, DH is giving me a little slack, cause I haven't gotten anything for months... I am making up for it in the past few weeks, but he's ok with it. He actually asked me a month or so ago WHY I haven't gotten any new makeup. I love him.

I have been there at least once a week, if not twice a week for the last 3 weeks. OOPS. But, my wishlists for the spring collections are reasonable, so I don't feel so bad.

Besides that, these blushes, and the lipgelees are unique to my collection. That's my justification because before last week, I had never owned a creme blush or a lipgelee.

Nothing lololol. All I'm wearing on my face is a little foundation from this morning, eyeliner, mascara, optimistic orange, and Lush & Bright. I went to the gym before getting my haul, so I didn't really "beautify" myself today hahaha. And I never leave the house without liner and mascara. I guess these blushes and lipgelees will be perfect for those quick/no time to get ready times

Preppy without hesitation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm the type that likes pigmented lipglosses so that's why! Also, the color just really pops! It's going to look hott in the summer!! Its gorgeous!!!! Shift to Pink- on me, it shows a slight lilac/purple tint, but you mostly just see glitter. It's pretty though- but Preppy is just GORGEOUSSSSSSSS!!!! Yea Lush & Bright is amazing!!!! I don't have any corally lipglosses and this one is just so unique. I think I might get a backup of preppy and lush & bright! In my opinion, Preppy would go better with the 2 blushes. If you like bright colors and hot pinks- go for preppy.

Re: MAC - MAC in Lillyland Discussion

I went to the store today to take a look at this collection...OMG!! Beautiful!! My hubby gave me money because I have not bought makeup in about 2 months, now that is a long time for me. I got the three cremeblushes except the orange one.

I am so tempted to go back and get the pearlmate powder....how can you resist that package..HOW!!!! LOL

FREAKING AMAZING COLORS............

Re: MAC - MAC in Lillyland Discussion

^Yea, I wanted to check out the Pearlmatte face powder too, but it was sold out at my MAC counter Guess I will always just wonder........lol. But let me know if you get it and what you think. MAYBE I will get it online. I just dont know if it's a must have for me. The packaging is too cute- But I have to STOP buying just for the packaging lolol

Re: MAC - MAC in Lillyland Discussion

elegant-one: I posted a lip swatch of Optimistic Orange in the swatch thread if you were wondering what it looked like

audreynicole: I also posted lip swatches of the 2 lipgelees you questioned me about. In the pic for some reason, they look extremely similar. But in person, preppy is much more pigmented while shift to pink has a slight tint. It almost reminds me of Money Honey......Actually these are very similar now that I'm comparing the two. Shift to Pink is Money Honey in lipgelee form lol. If you have Money Honey dazzleglass, then definitely pass on shift to pink. Basically, if you want something light colored or just to layer on top of a lipstick- go for shift to pink. If you want something to pop, and wear alone- go for preppy................

GET PREPPY ITS GORGEOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! lololol
