^ so pretty! thanks for the swatches!!

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

I swatched these today in store and the only ones which came out with some good pigmentation were Red Brick and, of course, Lucky Green - I'm NW15!!

How did everyone else get such amazing payoff? Am I just a bad swatcher? These pictures are making me want to go back and get them so badly, but I couldn't get them to work in store.

I did pick up Red Brick and Lucky Green though - OMG amazing!

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

Quick question -- is Lucky Green similar to Golden Olive pigment? It'd be great if it was.

Thanks, ladies!

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

when did this collection come out or when will it be coming out? I have called my local counters and FSS and they know nothing about it?!?!?!

Golden Olive is a lot darker than Lucky Green IMO. I wish I had both to swatch for you but I don't. However this question has now brought it to my attention that I don't have Golden Olive...I may have to fix this. :P

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

After reading a few posts here I ended up ordering Lucky Green and Free to Be. I have Vibrant Grape already (which I love). I am thinking about Brick Red and one of the blues but I would have to see them IRL first.

It's not a collection per se, more like an extension of the permanent line. So maybe you need to ask them for the colour names and not the collection name?
And from what I remember not every MAC might have them.

These are on the mac website under the regular eyeshadows and not in the collections per sa. Also under the the pan eyeshadows as well; these I believe are permanent. HTH.

Also anyone is free to be (I think that's the name) is that a true coral or is it more pinky tone?

i think people have said it depends what base you use - it can look either more pink or more coral depending on what you use

I swatched Free to Be on the back of my hand (no base) and it definitely looked more pinkier than coral on me (for reference I'm NC30).

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

Free to Be is coral when I swatch it on my hand. I put some of my Too Faced primer on my hand and then Free to Be and I definitely got coral and that's exactly what I wanted!

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

Lucky Green- I already have this and it's gorgeous I will prob get a backup
Sunny Spot- was like a basic green on me didn't feel like I needed it
Golden Rod- Had to swatch it a couple times because it wasn't showing up on me
Red Brick- Beautiful and bright loved this colour
Vibrant Grape- I already have this
Winkle- Had to buy this it's a really cool blue color and show's up great on my skin
Atlantic Blue- Nice dark blue but didn't feel like I needed it right away
Free to Be - I'm waiting to buy this with the new collection coming out

I took a pic from my phone but it's really bad quality so I didn't add it in the pics above.

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

I'm wondering how close Lucky Green is to Springtime Skipper?

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

I have a question about Lucky Green. How close is it to the solid part of Fresh Green Mix MES? Because if they aren't really close I think I'll get it.

Here you go!

TOP: Lucky Green
Bottom: Solid green side of Fresh Green Mix

Hope that helps a bit.

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

Thanks so much for the swatch, it helped me a lot. They seem quite close in color.
What skin tone are you because it may be quite close to my own? Also, what about the pay off and fall out factor? Because Fresh Green Mix is fall out galore so if Lucky Green is easier to work with I'm gonna get it. I'm such an addict

i have fresh green mix and will be getting lucky green mainly because it looks like it has slightly better payoff compared to fresh green mixed used dry, and also it's easier to take with me when travelling! i'd never take a mes because they are so fragile i would be scared it'd smash!

I am NW15. I do think that lucky green is easier to work with thatn Fresh Greeen Mix. Lucky Green is a veluxe pearl and it is really pigmented. It blends really well too. I hate to be an enabler but Lucky Green really is in a class of its own.

I hate traveling with mineralize products. My dainty blush shattered while on the plane on my last trip.

I am NW15 as well and I agree with Katie. While I love Fresh Green Mix (it's my favorite MES), the staying power, even with a base, just isn't there for me. Lucky Green is more pigmented, and you can blend it, without blending it away, like with the MES. It really is in a class all of its own.

Thank you! I was hoping it would be lighter than SS! I need a good light green that is not lime-green like bitter, those I have too many! I have been also considering getting juxt, but I guess LG has better payoff?

That's awful!!!

I hate traveling with MS products too but sometimes I can't refrain myself. When I do, I slip a bubble wrap between the removable lid they come with and the cap of the container; then I wrap them with the bubble wrap all over the container.

So sad about Dainty blush!!
From now on I'll travel with my Mineralize stuff protected like Hypathya suggests or just take something else.

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

I own (and love) Fresh Green Mix, but if Lucky Green is easier to work with, then I'll be sure to put it on my list, along with Winkle, Atlantic Blue, and Vibrant Grape. Glad that these are perm at the freestanding stores, so I can take my time and pick up the pans when I have the spare cash.

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

On the US site, they have this Have a Love Affair promotion of bright lipsticks/cremesheens and pencils(all permanent except for Violetta a pro product and the cremesheens) but they are not advertising the new shadows.

Weird?

I think this is this year's Valentine's Day promotion?

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

I tried to get some info on the new Pop Colors today and ended up getting Spring Forecast info instead We have have a freestanding counter here, so if I bought Free to Be and Lucky Green with a blind eye (read: MAC website), I shouldn't be too disappointed in the colors??

Also on the unfortunate side, my MA told me they know nothing about the SF collection. She said they aren't going to training until the week before it comes out. I understand MAC having a bad year, but if this is HK's predecessor, there's not a lot hoorah about it
