The ONLY thing that is cool about having an international release date is that by the time collections get to our countries, we really know what to get and what to skip thanks to the advice and swatches of other ladies here or in most cases get more than what we had planned.
Well that's what I try to tell myself. I bet the MUA I stalk weeks ahead of time before collections get here doesn't think that I'm very patient.

If you saw swatches of Fresh Green Mix and LG you'll see that they're pretty close so If you own FGM you could... also buy LG because it has no fall out and it's easier to work with. It's also more travel friendly (sorry for being such an enabler)

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

I really wanted to get Red Brick but it is such an odd color that I can't imagine that I would wear it very much. Atlantic blue was really pretty too but I might wait on that color for a bit. I did get all of the rest of them. I am glad that I can use Lucky Green as much as I want now without fear of running out. But who am I kidding!?! I have never run out of any MAC eye shadow before.

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

Lucky green seems similar with chartreuse pigment(maybe a tad more yellow but would a "regular" eye notice that) and I love chartreuse , hmmm not sure now Thanks for the swatch now I have a debate with myself do I "need" it or not

Well, they're actually not that similar in person. Like Hypathya said Lucky Green is sorta in between Rated R and Golden Olive

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

I know dear!!!

It's just when you said "because you're silly" it kinda reminded me of my grandfather and my husband quotes. My grandfather used to say in such occasions "so much studies... for nothing" The funniest part was, he didn't finish primary school and used to say that to his children who did. Now, my mom (his child) has a PhD, I almost got one and that quote has become a family one for silly things. On other side, my husband, who is a theoretical physicist (as well as I was) uses my grandfather's sentence or "and people thinks us theoretical physicists are beyond smart" when he does or says (and he very often does) silly things.

Anyway, hope you're having a nice Sunday morning!!!

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

I was going to wait to buy winkle, but when I went to Mac yesterday, I couldn't resist. It is so pretty and different. I told the MA I wanted Winkle and she said "Woodwinked?". I said no Winkle and she said "Twinks?". LOL I had to show her. She was like Oh, I'm not familiar with those shades yet. She almost had me doubting myself.

I want Red Brick NOW!!!!!!

I have this amazing image in my head with Lucky Green, Bitter , and Plumage ...yummy green goodness

I'm almost out of Embark, I use that shadow every darn day

Edit: Also a milestone for me, after I depot one of my shadows, I will have officially filled my first 15 pan palette!!! Wooo hooo! Now I need another palette, then can start arranging by color
I'm just still shocked I only have 18 MAC (regular) eyeshadows... I need to step my game up. But whenever I go into MAC, if I don't have something specific in mind, I won't get it, shame on Jezel!!!!

Congrats on filling your first palette!

Be sure to get that new palette soon as the prices are increasing Feb 1st. There's the thread for more info: http://www.specktra.net/forum/f165/m...eb-1st-157836/

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

I need to get 2 palettes before the price runs up. I learned how to depot my shadows without heat so now my third one is almost full.

Something similar happened to me when I went to the MAC counter at my local Macys to buy Free to be. When I asked for the color by name, she MA looked at me like I was crazy. I had to show her the color so that she would know what I was talking about.

I really love Free to Be. It takes a little work to get it on because it's a matte. I have to get a white base, but I was able to get it rather bright with just a eye primer.

Re: MAC POP Colour Collection discussion

OMG^ Must add to this.
I went to a MAC counter that I really do not like because I was *right there*( Big mistake those MAs are dumb as f**K except for the lovely Arshia, who I always see there hee hee)
And this dumb broad kept pointing me to the All Races ,etc collection. I'm like NO WHERE ARE THE NEW BRIGHT SHADOWS U GOT IN? she's like "um I don't know"
OMG she got under my skin... I got them eventually, but didn't buy them

I hate it MA that are condescending or think they know more than the costumer because they work there. I've had that happen to me and God knows I've wanted to slap them when they give me attitude
It sucks that you didn't the eye shadows

I know, I really wanted Lucky Green, but I wanted to save the couple of dollars and just get it in the pro palette.
I live right near a MAC FS store, but it was raining, I was tired, and I needed to study.
I think it was a sign though, I'm buying too much stuff on Live Journal, I need to slow my roll ( Do ppl even still say that? )
