MAC - In the Groove Discussion - Page 37

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

^^ I think it came with either Nuance or Warm Soul MB, if my memory doesn't fail me.

I personally don't think Shimpagne is a must-have though, but that's just my personal opinion. I know a lot of girls love it. If you have either Redhead or Refined MSF, they both work just as well for highlighting purposes.

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

see i love shimpagne for when i use peachy blushes. i always use iut as a highlight. but for when i use pinky blushes i always use perfect topping msf.

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

Thank you! Now I remember why I skipped it, because the set did not give enough pink. Silly, I know. Did another set have Dainty?

I have Refined MSF.

Wow, now I'm excited for the MES too... I actually liked the MES from Color Craft but I wished they were less frosty. I guess now I have my wish! Also, with these three colored things, it's good for travels .

Now I need to decide which one I want...

Redhead is great with peachy blushes too! So is Refined.

Perfect Topping is great with cool-toned blushes. Refined looks good with cool-toned blushes as well, it's very versatile and neutral.

There was also a mineralize eyeshadow.

Did petticoat always have gold veining?i thought it was more sheer and the swatch looks "bam" pigmented pink!i thought it was more of a sheer baby pink...

The ret of them looks A-mazing.I'm trying to find excuses but I cannot resist.even stereo rose (which I thought would look kind of red...) -it's the prettiest of all...do we know what tone the girl with the swatches is??? (nc ? nw ? 20? 40?)

I've seen the sets and the MSF's by themselves when I was at the CCO last week. oh and here's what my Petticoat looked like

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

Thanks so much for the link.

I wanted to skip the entire collection but thanks to all of you my credit card will be on fire. Damn!!!

Here is my list:

Togetherness MES
Happy Together MB
Hang Loose MB
Stereo Rose MSF
Chillin' Cremesheen
You've got it Cremesheen
On the Scene Cremesheen

Maybe:
Band of Roses MB
Blue my Mind MES
Calm, Cool, Collected MES

I am trying hard to buy colors that I don't own.

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

Happy Together is gorgeous! I want it! Yes I do! Oh, and Hang Loose too!

Stereo Rose is looking kinda pale in the swatch, but I'm still keeping it on my list. I have to see it in person to decide. I hope it's not that close to By Candlelight like it seems in the picture.

Band Of Roses is looking nice too, it would be good especially in winter.

So my list now before seeing the items myself:
- Happy Together
- Hang Loose
- Stereo Rose
- Jazzed (B2M)
- All Styled Up (B2M)
- I Like It Like That (B2M)

Maybes:
- Band Of Roses
- New Vibe
- A Little Bit Of Sunshine
- Go For It (I could B2M this but I don't know how often I would use it. We'll see about this one.)
- On The Scene
- Going Casual or Right Image

I really like all the blushes judging from the swatches! The cremesheen glasses look nice, but I really shouldn't be buying lippies (unless I B2M them ), I have too many waiting to be used. Luckily I don't want any of the MES!

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

I really don't know what I want from this collection but have been trying to find a nice purple/plum blush. New Vibe looks alot lot Grand Duos/Grand Duos. Do you all think? The closest purple I guess was Two Virtues which I wanted to get but couldn't

Stereo Rose looks so light!
In the picture in the pan it looks barely darker than Petticoat and in the swatch Petticoat is even darker than Stereo Rose!

When I remember old pictures with Stereo Rose from the first release it was always the darkest MSF in the picture (except Metal Rock of course) but now.. it looks like 100 MSFs looked before: a variation of beige with some color.

I am really disappointed now. They shouldn't have called it Stereo Rose. They should have called it Mono Rose instead.

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

^ it's certaintly much lighter than what i thought it was going to be compared to the old version! i shall still get it though.... purely because i'm a bit of a collecter with the msf's!

Thanks!

There's a mix up in the labelling though, Stereo Rose is labelled as By Candlelight and vica versa. The bluses are so gorgeous and I really love the eyeshadows too. Ah, can't wait for this collection now!

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

*Sigh* where is time going? I can't believe July is almost here! I just added up my list and it comes up to £198.50 grrrrr. I cannot spend that, when there are even greater collections on the way *goes into office to re-calculate*

In the Groove is a great collection, but with Fabulous Felines and Venomous Villains in the near future, I have had to cut back my list considerably. I am only letting myself get two things from this collection.... Before, my total was around yours..... Of course, who knows what will happen when I actually see it in person....

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

I am so sad that stereo rose isn't the same one from the original release I've always been looking forward to when MAC would repromote this msf...

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

I basically have the same problem of wanting too many things: Jazzed l/s, Band of Roses and A Bit of Sunshine MB, Stereo Rose possibly and maybe the peachy l/g...oh yeah can't forget Love to Love MES...

Even though July 12 is my b-day and technically I deserve a haul I'm still going to limit myself to 2 (yes 2) items just because I can't say that I'm going to PASS on any of the following collections, especially with LE packaging for Venomous V...Life is hard...

Exactly- I'd rather only get 2 items from here than have to pass on all of the other upcoming collections!!! Plus, MES are pretty, but I never actually use them.... Which two are you getting? I'm staying with Hang Loose MB and Go For It l/s...

Jazzed is extremely gorgeous and I would be buying band of Roses if I could pull off dark/pigmented blushes.

My excuse for getting Jazzed l/s is b/c it is similar to Ever hip from LoL which I missed out on...however on the rare chance that I find Ever Hip at a CCO, I might not get Jazzed...As for the MB's I might pass on A Little Bit of Sunshine and get Chic Couple from Too fab. I think Band of Roses would be wonderful for fall. I tend to buy more pigmented blushes b/c I think I get more bang for my buck if I just use a light hand...it might last forever...

So my 2: Jazzed l/s and Band of Roses MB...let's hope that it stays this way

Good choices- those would be my 2 if I didn't already have 2.

Are you looking for mineralized blushes only? If not I think MAC's permanent range or even the pro range have some pretty decent purple/plum blushes.

I know, it looks so sheer in the swatches. Very disappointing. But I'm gonna get it anyway, because it's called "stereo rose" and I've always wanted to own a stereo rose.

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

I have been thinking the same thing a lot of you have been thinking. I need to cut back my list. I think I may only pick up 1 or 2 things. I probably only get Stereo Rose MSF and Blue My Mind e/s. The only thing is a must have for me is Stereo Rose. I want to have as much money availabe for Venomous Villains.
