Don't stone me, but I agree with your friend. I got Petticoat in the last release and I think Petticoat is prettier. *ducks* You should get it if you can it will look amazing on you. We're about the same tone. I'm on the darker end of NC25, almost NC30, and it's gorgie on me.
Hi Hun!

Let me know how you like HT when you receive it. Hoping I don't cave before then. But it truly is a pretty colour...just like allThingsGirl said I think the colour gives a really chic look!

As for Petticoat, with all the positive reviews here I might have a hard time fighting the urge, we'll see!

On the other hand I am angry to see sellers on eBay selling 12 of them in one listing (yep, someone on eBay UK had 12!). But I'm more angry with Mac for not making enough. Surely if they had produced thousands more, then everyone could buy as many as they want and eBay sellers couldn't be making such big profits.

I think it was sold out at the end if the day it was launched bc I was on the site refreshing it all hours of the day and I noticed Jazzed said SOLD OUT. I think Petticoat will be next unless something beat it to it. lol

Oh and I went back to the counter and got the rest of the cremesheen glasses so now I have ALL of them!!!!!!!!
And bought Band Of Roses and its so so gorgeous!
I didn't buy the rest of the blushes bc I tried them and either they were too ashy or muddy on my skin tone.

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

What brush do you think is best for applying these MSFs? I don't really like using the 187 because the lots of powder gets to the side of the pan when I swirl it.

SR looks SO B~E~A~U~T~I~F~U~L in the pan but when swatched I just feel it's not really unique. I'm sure I'll like it on my cheeks but I wished the colour is as breathtaking swatched as it is in the pan. Oh well maybe I'll think otherwise after I start using it.

Okay, so it's not just me! The MA said that it's been re-posted on the site but I can't even find it anymore! Altho I'm thinking I'd pass anyway since swatching the tester in person didn't quite excite me. I was expecting a bit less coral, or something punchier... =S

By Candlelight it is then, and eventually Gld Deposit. I didn't like it before b/c of the glitter but now... it's calling me. =D Maybe it's a summer thing...

you're back!!! (not like i don't talk to you everyday on FB tho )

sooo i had to skip the last 160 posts cuz i actually do read every. single. post., but if i continued to do so, i never would've been able to catch up. and this is the first time i've skipped ahead so its ok.

if its been mentioned already, i apologize, but...

i was doing a search on the computer for a custy today who wanted SR (shocker!) and it showed that macys herald square (i think that's the right name) in ny had 29 currently in stock. now i don't know how up-to-date the macy's system is, but, that's what it showed. so, if anyone want's to call and see what they have, that's the one that showed the most in stock.

I think we should have a condolences thread for her. Maybe one of our awesome moderators could fix it up? As she said, make up it's the last thing in her mind now and maybe this way she could read all the supporting posts from here in just one single thread. This one it's growing up like crazy and it's tough to keep up. I also think she totally deserves this, as she's been the greatest here and with us all.

I just remember, not long ago, she delayed posting some swatches for us, as she was going out with his hubby. I'm heartbroken and barely believing this has happened.

Definitely not similar at all, at least on my skin. When I swirled the two sides of Happy Together, I saw peach color. No pink. It's warmer than By Candlelight. By Candlelight is as someone described, champagne-y beige pink. Also, Happy Together is a blush, so it's more pigmented than By Candlelight. HTH!

You can see the difference here at Temptalia.

On my skin, it's kinda similar. BC is lighter and more shimmery, tho.

About ten pages back I promised Modmom a swatch of HT and BOR - please excuse my general MU in the pic, it was quite late in the evening on a very hot day.
On my cheeks are HT and BOF.

Well, you get the idea, hopefiully. I can't get the image to rotate...

I also ended up buying band of roses online tonight. I couldn't resist and from all the swatches I have seen I know I will love it.

I tried looking thru this thread and all I could find were comments that it was sold out by 2:45 pm on 7/6 on the Canadian site and by 7:41am on 7/7 on the US site.

Nordstrom online still seems to have it. If you have other things you need to buy and get the total up to $50 you can get $5 shipping with the code BEAUTY. $5 shipping seems alot more palatable than $8 to me anyway.

But but but Band of Roses is so pretty and I don't have anything like it. As a black girl I tried to stay away from red and pink blushes because for some reason I always thought that maybe it didn't look natural...like when I blush I don't blush red or pink and if I did blush a color it would be more of orange or peach. But anyway, it looks gorgeous and I had to use a light hand. I can see myself wearing this blush often. I'm glad you all raved about it so now I got it. Also picked up one for my best friend. If I get something then she must have it too. My reasoning for picking up two SRs. She's loving SR, I mean loving it. She's an NC45 so she's lighter than me so she gets more of a coral flush and it looks beautiful on her!!! I think I love this collection a lot. Not more than Style Black, but a lot.

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

Anybody wearing Comfort all over their face? A reviewer on YT said something about it not being as shimmery as Soft and Gentle to not being shimmery much at all that she i s able to wear it all over her face. Can anybody confirm that because if that's true then I'll go order that. I am able to wear So Ceylon all over my face and that is the only MSF I can do it with. Gives my brown skin a nice glow and my So Ceylon is getting flat..eeeek. If I can sub it for Comfort then I will. Didn't have time to try it out at the store.

Good question because I only have two buki brushes. One from Bare Escentuals which I hate because it's so hard and prickly and I have that really nice bamboo one from Sonia Kashuk that I use with my blot powder (in my purse), so I'm using the Sonia Kashuk one at the moment, but I'm going to go out today to see if I can find a smaller buki that suits me. Usually with MSFs I use my 165 because I highlight with them, but since I use SR as a blush I need a buki because the duo fibers are not picking up enough color for me or I'm too lazy to build it up . Anyhow, hopefully I won't have to pay 30 bucks for a new buki because I don't want to do that.

let it roll off my dear

I am SO glad you tried it & love it on - I'm sure that it looks beautiful on you! Thats really sweet of you to get a second SR for your friend too. I buy twoseys & threes all the time I agree, I bought way more from this collection than I thought I was going to. Thanks for letting me know what you thought. I cannot wait to get mine.

That is so funny to me that you posted that. Yesterday I pulled out my BE mini buki & it sucks I used the antibacterial wipes on it & the bristles were just weird & stiff/pokey. Too bad because its such a cute little brush. And, sometime BE brushes make my skin break out
I need another kabuki brush too.

I wore comfort yesterday to bronze my skin a bit. I brushed it on my temples, sides of my face, cheek bone and jawline. It is not shimmery at all. It is like so ceylon because i love that So ceylon is not as shimmey as other msf's.
Then i applied ambering rose as my blush and layered stereo rose on top

But just remember that so ceylon has a rosey tint to it, comfrot doesn't. Hope this helps you.

I feel you. I had to go through the same thing when I went to the MAC Store at the Flat Iron Bldg here in NYC. I was the 1st person in the store and when the girl from the counter went to get my order, she told me that Stereo Rose was sold out. The item was released that day and it was sold out even before it was released to the public??? Ugh!

I'm kind of sad since it's the only thing i really wanted, instead i picked up petticoat and go for it lipstick.. which to be honest now that i got home i dont even like that much... i might have to sleep on it idk.

Re: MAC - In the Groove Discussion

Ladies, the MAC store in Harlem,NYC have plenty of Jazzed lipsticks, so you guys can call 212-665-0676 and ask to have it shipped? Not sure if they will do it, as 90% of their staff are not the happiest people, but try.
I wish I can offer CPs but I don't have the funds to buy now wait wait for PayPal payment to clear

That's in Manhattan, right inside MACYs on 34th st. Can't miss it, MACYs takes up about 2 blocks. And you should call and ask to put it on hold.

I must have been the second person in the store then. SR wasn't even on display! They replaced it with Gold Deposit, and the guy told me that people were calling weeks prior to reserve.

.Same here. The color looks nice but I'm oily, and I'm scared it might break me out like Petticoat did. I was thinking of heading to the MAC counter Erine mentioned to check it on face to face, but I'll pass. Not interested.
