Girlies, I'm loving your avatars so much!!

I'm so glad to see Maleficient is getting that much love!! It's my fave!! There's something about her... she's truly elegant also!

I so agree!! Ursula should have been part of this!!

I'd like her instead Cruella or Dr. Facilier.

Yes- I would have preferred her over Dr Facilier or Cruella since Cruella scares me so much

I still watch Emperor's New Groove every chance I get. I her and David Spade was hilarious.

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

ohhhh lordy!

I went to my local store today and SAW IT ALLLLLL.

First off, the magically cool powder. That shit is bizarre. My MA spilled some out on a tissue and it rolled around like little Chocobos from Final Fantasy or something. It is everything I was hoping for - it instantly smoothes on, eradicating every pore in sight, while giving that high fashion shiny sheeny finish. I swear I thought my fingers still had some makeup remover on them when i touched it, since they felt so wet - I've had drug trips that weren't as convincing Instant buy. Cajun could potentially be used for conturing as Her Greyness has mentioned, but light skinned ladies would get that extra brown contour look that's been all over the Spring/ Summer 2011 runways, not something subtle. I'm going to opt for Truth & Light (NC15).

I'll yakk about the rest of it later- because I have friends over right now and can't blog on, but suffice it to say She Who Dares MES has a much more sparkly fantastic finish than My Dark Magic, which has more blackened base like the Style Black MES'es, but they are both bangin'. She Who Dares is the insta-buy, if you have to pick one.

Of the lipglosses, Strange Potion is like Perennial High Style, but with the new micro-shimmer, Wrong Spell is a more pigmented, slightly warmer version of Fancy Cat (I like FC better but that is extremely subjective, may people would prefer WS), but Wicked Ways was sexxxxx - I was already wearing Jazzed over Temperature Rising and WW over that was retarded! It went whoosh right onto my pre-order list.

Also very special mention to Revenge is Sweet. That is the most fashion forward, avant-guard texture of all the glosses - it's like True Babe but about 50% sheerer, while still having all the pigmentation - like an uber-jelly texture - it's gorgeous. If you aren't already rocking True Babe (probably my favorite lipglass this year), RIS is even more interesting - definitely what we are going to be seeing in 2011, while everything else feels more like a throwback.

The BPs - I was going to try and resist these, but to no avail. As Erine has said, OSF is like a more pigmented light side of Marine Life. BR is NOT a dupe for Azalea Blossom because AB goes on "chalkier" or maybe "milkier". BR is so so so so sheer, and yet it BRINGS the pigmentation at the same time. It's extremely unusual. All 3 BPs are way more beautiful in texture than the GMLOL ones. So sheer you can hardly see them if you swatch them with a skunk brush, but when you apply them to your face -watch the frakk out - it's glow time. I'm not sure how any of them are going to work on dark skin, but maybe they have what it takes to sit lightly on the surface of the skin and still provide that pigmentation. Test them and let us know , beautiful WOC!

I've got to go back to my guests now, but I'll be back tomorrow or late tonight to tell about the rest of what I saw.

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

i'm so sleepy but here's what i have to say about the lippies:

Dark Deed: This one hits right between Cunning and Kittenish, as far as darkness and warmness goes. If Cunning was too cool, but Kittenish was too brown, DD is the lipstick for you.

Heartless: Hmm, having a tough time deciding about this one, since I didn't try it on my lips. It's a little bluish, but only just a touch. My gut feeling is telling me this one is going to look the most exciting on medium to darker skin, while on fairer skin it will look glamorous, but more mainstream and less bright. I didn't pre-order it, but I might eventually grab it if it's still around and there's nothing better for me in Stylishly Yours/Red Twins.

Innocence, Beware: This looked really nice, gentler and more nudey than a lot of the light pinks we've seen from MAC this year. For the right coloring, this could be the perfect nude pink, I'd say for blue or hazel eyed blondes with warmer skin tone. Like Heartless, this one could be jazzed up with a gloss over it, especially for skin tones that aren't a perfect match for them.

Toxic Tale: this one wasn't in yet. My MA remembers it from her seminar and felt like this was going to be the best one for me (NC15) and I already felt that too, since coral/orange overtones really stand out on me - the oranger the better, usually. I was wearing Jazzed over Temperature Rising today and I have a feeling TT is going to be similar to that - in other words, hot beyond all belief. It better be eye-searingly bright to satisfy me, but I pre-ordered it sight unseen, because I believe!

OK gotta crash, but I've got to tell about Bite of an Apple = brighter and less pink than Hipness, but still closer to it than to the dark part of Marine Life. Let's put it this way....I took one look at it, put a little on my finger and then insta-bought it. No need to go further than that for me. Definitely buildable- it won't be hard to control application for fair skin since it's really finely milled - seems like it should be easier to control and apply than Marine Life. It's going to give more of a glowing type of color than ML, which gives more of a flush than a glow, if that makes sense.

The pink in Hipness helped me to resist it, but there was no resisting this one for me, but I love ML and wear it all the time and BoaA kicks it up another notch. It's just a couple of steps below neon and has a perfect warm/cool balance for such a bright color - every skin tone will be able to pull this one off...all it will take is a little bit of a daring spirit. Seriously, the evil queen color story is by far the most unified - Vile Violet on the eyes, BoaA on the cheeks and Toxic Tale on the lips, with maybe a 'lil OSF to finish things will be THE glamorous look to wear with sexy black suits and dresses this Fall.

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

^^This makes me want Toxic Tale even more!

All this talk of Revenge is Sweet has made me reach for Sweet Strawberry today. I love it so much!

Thanks for part 2 of the review, very helpful. So you liked Vile Violet?? it's not getting a lot of mention so i'm interested to hear your opinion.

Dark Deed is so pretty but it looks really dark on temptalia, so it may look pretty harsh on NC15. Maybe if I dabbed it on lightly it may be like a stain.
