That's what I did when I narrowed down my list. I started off really well since I pretty much scratched off about everything that was Cruella's. Then right at Evil Queen's Bite of an Apple and on, I totally paused. Damn! =

Can you believe I'm actually thinking about getting nothing from this?! What's wrong with me...

OK here's what I thought of maybe getting and how I talked myself out of them:
Briar Rose - I have Summer Rose
Oh So Fair - I have Blush of Youth and Pet Me (not exact dupes but close enough for me)
Innocence Beware - looks too opaque, chalky and dry (getting Hue instead! And it's perm, too!)
Slick Black GPS - I have Blacktrack Fluidline and Engraved Powerpoint (and I would have used this as a liner only with 266)
Wicked Ways/ Resort Life - I don't like the regular lipglass or lipgelee formulas or shimmery lips on myself (these'll look great on others though)

More money for perm products (need more Powerpoints: Industry, Bountiful Brown and Buried Treasure) and LUSH (need one or two of the new perfumes)!

It's kind of fun, actually. Maybe I'm a nerd, but I love making lists. And, I hope you get everything you want, too!

Me too. A few weeks ago, I was happy at 5 items, maybe $100. Now, I'll be lucky if I buy less than 20. Though, I blame the lack of info for TT. If I knew what was in it, I'm sure I'd be more reasonable with my list.

I work for MAC and I was looking at the stuff today and I added Innocence Beware to my list it is beautiful rich a creamy with the perfect amount of pink not chalky at all! I highly recommend it!

Thanks, doll! You're not a nerd! I like to call it detail oriented. I know what you mean about the lists- I'm obsessed with them. It helps me stay organized. I have them everywhere- the planner in my bag, in my phone, my desk planner at work, on MS Word and Excel- everywhere!

Same! In fact, all through middle school and high school, we were given planners for the day for assignments and such, and when I got to college and realized I wouldn't have one, I went out and bought one. I love lists and I love staying organized.

Anyone think Innocence Beware would be entirely off on an NC45 complexion? I mean all on it's own. I'm not really one for the lipstick/gloss combo. I don't have any interest in this lippy, I'm just wondering if anyone as dark as I am is willing to buy this or if anyone really thinks it's wearable.

Thanks and I hope you and the kids feel better. It's just awful having colds. I bet they really have a cure for it but then all the drug companies would be out of business. Someone told me not long ago that things go on like that!

Let Me In looks very cool. I had seen previews for it when I last saw a movie at the theatre....cant remember what one it was since we usually use NetFlix. Anyway I hope you get to see it. Buried I too am wondering how they will play it out. Will he be in that box the entire time? I'm claustrophobic so I may have to wait for it to come out on DVD .

On to the collection I still think I wont be getting anything but maybe the cooling powder but even that I may wait for it to hit to CCO. I think I'll go to the MAC store though the weekend the collection comes out so I can get some dark vampy look done . Violetta is another one I'm still thinking of too.

Hi I thought this is as good as time as any to come out of my long lurking status...
I stopped by Dillard's on Friday to pick up Fleur Power as I had been obsessed ever since getting Lustering in a B2M and the SA used it to "punch" up my cheeks...Anyways Princess A. asked me if I wanted to see the VV collection and brought out the basket for me to play.
I first swatched on the colors I knew I wanted...
Oh So Fair was exactly as I hoped a nice peach pink sheen.
Bite of Apple turned a muddy dull color and A. said she liked the Fleur Power more on me.
I tried Briar Rose next and really liked the brightness.
She Who Dares was exactly the dark and sparkling colors I hoped it would be.
French Quarter was just lovely with flashes of green.
I then tried some lipsticks even though I wasn't planning on any of them..
Violetta is the purple I have been looking for.
Innocence Beware is the perfect pinky nude on my rather pigmented lips.
Resort Life looked awesome over Innocence Beware as well as on it's own.
I thought the cooling powders were cool but not cool enough to want.
The nailpolishes were glorious yet again not enough to want.
She pulled all my items and bagged them up with my name for the the 30th, which I thought was just awesome! Of course I still am worried that the Evil Queens at the counter will put them all back since they did not seem pleased, LOL
Here is a rather awful picture after driving home from the mall and stopping by Target, Resort Life has faded away and just left a sheen that you can't even see...

i, too, love making lists. to the point where i make lists that include things i've already done/gotten, just so i get the satisfaction of a) making a longer list b) having things to cross off already.



i just got another e-mail invite from mac for the preview event because it's the last day to rsvp. seriously, mac? you don't have four hundred million people coming to these events already? you feel the need to encourage the madness even more?

i'm going to start taking bets on how many injuries i'm going to sustain at this event.

I'm NC45 in the PLW foundation, so I hope this helps! I had no interest in Innocence, Beware! either, but I tried it an yway. It was definitely not for me. Really pretty swatched, but it came off too pale-looking on my lips. I know it's a cremesheen, but it came off looking frosty on me for some reason.

I just called one of the stores listed on Temptalia's site for preview parties. I was told it was by invitation only. Hmmm....I wonder why I didn't get an invitation. There was one other store listed. I wonder if I should give them a try.

-De-Vil - I had crossed this one off my list but then I see it swatched on someone's eye in an earlier post and I'm thinking about it again. BTW Darkly my Dear blush look fabulous on this person too but I have Notable and I think they may be too similar.

Thanks and I wouldn't be surprised if there many cure for different things that we don't know about.

I am def putting those two movies on my to watch list ...claustrophobia is a hard one thank god I don't have that sorry that you do.

This collection is a hard one I think to pin a list down on and I wont be surprised if there are things we though we would like we end up not liking and there are things we didn't even think about but we will like ..did that thought give anyone else a headache? lol guess its just the cold

Does anyone know if Heartless l/s pulls toward pink? I love reds but not if they turn pink.

I am also interested in BoA and Toxic Tale but am concerned about whether I could pull these colors off (I am N2/NW15 with black hair and green eyes). Opinions needed please!

I received Heartless as part of my gratis, I seriously LOVE this color. It does not turn pink at all. A true blue red Im going to buy a back up of it.

No, I don't think it went to the pink side (sounds like star wars) Its a true down the middle blue red red

Its hard to say how BOA will turn - on anybody - but I think it would look just fine sheered out. TT is really bright.

I went up to my counter to pre-order, only to find out that they were told, under no circumstances, were they allowed to do holds for this collection.

The only thing they're allowed to do is if I call the day the collection comes out, if there's anything left, they can hold it for the day, and that's it.

I'm definitely calling the minute they open! But I'm getting sort of worried that I won't get what I want, and especially with my gigantic list! (I don't use credit cards, so online is not an option for me.)

I'm going to fret about this now! Especially since it doesn't sound like they got alot (we never do) since the makeup artist said she probably wouldn't be able to get a thing because it'll be sold out.
