i love my SE face brushes from antiquitease....i wouldn't mind an eye set so i could stick them in my gym/travel bag...i'm not a big fan of carting around all the full size brushes! i like them to stay safe and sound in my room!

I would love it if they did brushes with tartan handles! I would be tempted to buy every set if they did that.

re: MAC - Holiday 2010 A Tartan Tale Discussion

You all are making me want some SE brushes. I could use a 129SE (or a short handle one, are those readily available?), because carrying around the full size 129 is just ridiculous, and I like to reapply blush on long days.

re: MAC - Holiday 2010 A Tartan Tale Discussion

I am now think I will get my first SE brush set this year... Do you think the face set or eye set is better? I need eye brushes more, I think, but if it comes with a flat eyeliner brush, that seems like a waste....

Me too, all this talk about patterns is making me want them! I've been using mainly my Sigma brushes. Maybe it's time to switch to MAC!

Same situation- have the sigma, want to use mac. I find that the sigma shader brushes dont pick up any of the product- SO frustrating... I retired my old MAC 213, and I miss it SO much! I could actually get color from it....

I like the face sets, mainly because I love the SE version of the 187.

Ahh.... What do you use your 187 for? I've heard it's a great multi-use brush...

Lots of people use it for foundation and love the finish, but it wasn't for me, I love it for blushes myself, or you could use it for face powders, cream blush, it is a good brush, but I don't think I'd ever buy the full size.

I use it for powder foundation and also for bronzer. I have 2 full size versions and 2 SE versions that I use for travel.

re: MAC - Holiday 2010 A Tartan Tale Discussion

I really like my 129se from Trip. I use it for blush everyday. I don't know how well it would work on someone with petite features, but on my "chubby cheeks", as my Aunt still calls me, it works perfect.

re: MAC - Holiday 2010 A Tartan Tale Discussion

Since there is a lot of talk about the SE brushes I decided to join. I love them. I prefer them over the full size. I like the short handle brushes because I feel like I have more control over the brush. It feels more comfortable in my hand. I do have a couple of full size brushes (190, 150, 109, 131).

They do sell a 'full quality' short handle 129, at least on the US MAC site: M·A·C Cosmetics | 129SH Powder/Blush Brush

re: MAC - Holiday 2010 A Tartan Tale Discussion

^ I have this. as long as you don't keep it in the plastic pouch all the time (it packs all the hairs together and "seems" less full/fluffy) its a quality brush

re: MAC - Holiday 2010 A Tartan Tale Discussion

I love my 129SH so much. I have two, and use them everyday!

You girls always have the best idea. If MAC makes the SE brushes with the tartan handles, I'll get them in a heart beat!

a good while, so i guess i shouldn't complain. i was looking to get a holiday set in 09 to replace it, but opted not to, because of the experience i had with my original set.

sigma travel is pretty good. sigma on the whole, not so much... MAC brushes are the true star.
