Thank you!

I am crossing my fingers for you, B! th_kiss.gif

It does look a bit more pink in pictures and in the store than Jazzed and Ever Hip. *fingers crossed*

Love this! Was posted on MAC's youtube channel. It tells the story of the A Tartan Tale!

So the mini sets aren't up online on the US site yet. Does that mean they do launch the 11th?!?!? I'm so confused!  th_confused_new.gif

My, my, that narrator is not a legit Scott! Nice try though, but noooo!

Thanks for the link GS, it is a cool concept despite the narrator girlhaha.gif

It seems to be a different system each time. I'm guessing... We'll see them when we see them. I've decided to be good and not get any sets, especially since it looks like I'll be getting myself a lipstick and possibly a gloss from the hyper-expensive collection with no colour story.

Thank you so much for posting this!

Is this a same book everyone is getting when ordering $75.00 or more online? I think it's very cute. yes.gif

I'm no Scottish accent expert. I found the people are complaining about how the narrator talks. Any thoughts from our lovely Sottish Specktra ladies? cutey.gif

BTW, I tried The Faerie Glen this morning. I think my almost watermelon color lips are too pigmented for it, but I'll make it work. winks.gif

Now, I see Soul Unique's comment about the video. cutey.gif

Lol, i'm no expert but I have friends from Scotland [who do not speak like this gentleman]. I reckon that that was either an American putting on the accent or perhaps a Scottish guy who has acquired an american twang!??? Its cringe worthy though to me girlhaha.gif

Perhaps Spunky can chime in as she is the Official Scottish belle on Specktra.

I just got my order!

I love all of it!

The box for the brush set is too cute with orange tartan print!

The little book is cute too.

I can't wait to get better look at it, but Im busy with homework right now.

Just happy it arrived in one piece.

Will take photos and post them here or in swatches!

Wow, that story does not make a lot of sense. Perhaps the authors were smoking something at the time? Pan the Goat-God kilt-wearing rockstar? Really?

After listening to the story though, I want a sporran full of MAC compacts! Is that just me?

I also agree that the narrator's accent is totally fake, I have listened to a lot of Scottish accents in my life and none of them have ever sounded like that. It sounds like an American trying too hard to sound Scottish hahaha.

As far as I know, Salina, the release date was pushed back to the 11th for North America. ssad.gif We'll have to wait until next week!!

So long as I don't miss them, I don't care when they come out!  cutey.gif  I just hope Sir Teddy doesn't sell out first.  ssad.gif

I think you're right! Wondering why MAC did this. lol.gif

For those who are wondering what's sold out on-line in Canada, it's just the pigments and Cut a Caper... there may be more or less gone in stores, I'm not sure! I've promised myself not to go back until they launch Ch. 2 greengrin.gif

too funny

all I got was one np from this collex.. and that was for my personal use if I ever get around to getting my Nov.  mani

Lol, HerGreyness, my collection is still young, so pigments and such are all very exciting for me!! I'm like a kid in a candy store when I go to MAC at all, regardless of collection releases! :P

aww hun, I understand.. I am a bit jaded by now -- but you will get here just seeing so many collections year after year and seeing such similarity in the products, makes one very drowsy

Np! I didn't think the Scottish accent was very accurate but I could be wrong.. wouldn't be the first time haha!
I too have pigmented lips so this steered me away from TFG.. Can you post on lips pics please?!

I totally agree! The story didn't seem to make much sense to me either.. maybe I was too distracted by the fake Scottish accent th_dunno.gif

Just thought I'd add that around here (in stores) I've found that Cut a Caper, all the pigments, Undercurrent, and the Sir Teddies are either already sold out or they have veryyy limited

amounts left. (This was according to some SA's at my MAC counters)

NOTE: you should never get me started on accents. Never.

I'm not even British but that guy is even worse than Dan Castellaneta when he plays groundskeeper Willie

Btw I googled him and I think we can definitely say Soul Unique was right, he is american: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nn6tH7S_1m0

A genuine scottish accent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMivVCxp2B0&feature=related

That's how I feel about collections too. Mine is so small and young compared to some other members' here, so I still get very excited with almost every release!

My collection is smaller as well but growing quite nicely. I bought MAC  things here and there for quite a while now, mostly piggies. But never gone full blown MAC addict till this year. And never paid attention to collections, so I too get so excited when new ones come out! This is my first holiday collection too!

So....after a lot of thought I decided to keep my PIC palette. I'm still really sad the colors arnt more purple and its so not what I expected, but decided to play with it more. I was first just so upset that the colors are pretty much blackend colors, which I was trying to stray away from, giving I have enough blackend colors for now. Figured I'd just consider it a smokey eye palette yes.gif

bough grey, glamoura castle, S&D

Thanks erine for the swatch comparison!  Glamoura Castle is different than Bough Grey...but, I don't think I need both!

I will check into the small sharpener...thanks for the reccomendation smiles.gif

I still want A Wish Come True and Semi-Precious eyeshadows!  I successfully (I think so, at the moment) talked myself out of Sly as a Fox np.

Since I seem to be going gaga for pearlglides at the moment, I am thinking about Black Line now!  I did get Black Swan.  Do I really need both?

Here are some photos of what I got from chapter one of this collection.

I couldn't swatch them, because this is an xmas gift for myself lol.

The pigments were really hard to capture in the jar, and Cut a caper looks a bit lighter in person, but on the skin goes on a light peachy pink sheer.

Items: In order:

1. Sweep me off my feet and define brush set

2. Moonlight Night

3. The Family Crest

4. Cut a caper lipstick

5. 6 Dashing Lassie ES Set

6. Glamora Castle ES

7. Tartan Tale Book

i don't know if you need both, but they're different enough from each other to have both.

Thanks erine for your response!  I really needed to hear a response like yours smiles.gif  I thought I would get a response going all-out enabler on me to get Black Line as I do have Black Swan already.  I will try out what pearlglides I do have first...

I think I will just stick with the two eyeshadows I didn't pick up yet and end my first year's MAC collecting extavaganza on a high note and a happy smile on my face greengrin.gifheart.gif smiles.gifheart.gif

I'm confused too!  I called my free-standing store today and they said the pigment/lipgloss sets come out on the 11th.  But Temptalia's site says the 4th?  No Idea...
