I will be using my normal MAC budget on Christmas presents, too, but I'm also going to try to finally get an instrument. Not sure what yet, but they just make me so happy.    And MAC makes me happy, but it's a different feeling. 

 

You reminded me I need to listen to some new stuff, too. It's kind of hard to keep track when you have as many as I do. 

 

And I hope you can find a piggie set at the CCO. I don't have a CCO, but I've heard they usually show up there.

 

 

Yes- I love it!!!!    I was going to leave you feedback but with the new Specktra, you need a URL, and since it wasn't an official sale or anything, I didn't have one. But, I love it! Thank you so much!!! 

Yay for those two sets!!! Like I said before, I haven't ordered them, but I was talking to my mom about them yesterday, and she slipped on the fact that she's had them reserved at our store for a few weeks for my birthday!    Apparently I was hinting a lot.    I'll have to wait until the end of this month to get them, but that's fine with me. 

 

I hope you enjoy yours! You'll have to tell me how The Wee Coquette works out. That's the one I'm most excited for, but it looked really weird on temptalia's swatches.

And maybe Play it Cool and Sassy Pink Lassies and Courting Lilac. They're all on hold for me... but I'm going back and forth on Courting Lilac. I wanted Aristocat and didn't get it, and now this lippie is along the same lines... I just don't know how it'll look. I don't have anything like it though...

 

And I want Play It Cool, but then I worry about the quality of the shaodws. Some swatches look better than others... and I just can't decide.

i wasnt sure about the play it cool palette either, but i got it and i really like it,  4 or 5 out of the 6 colours are good, one is debateable its a bit chalky, but i find that with most mattes, but hold my gaze is

 

HBC is calling me, i might have to go check it out on sunday, if its still there its meant to be

After seeing more swatches, I'm convinced I need TFG and Courting Lilac in my life. The problem is my favorite counter is sold out

I'll just have to wait till Friday and hope that I can find one or the other in stock somewhere.

Oh and also, I don't care what anyone says, the brushes look smexy! I want the set with the 187!

Part of me wants to just ignore the rest of this collection entirely to save up for other stuff...but knowing me, I'll get bored tomorrow around lunch and stroll over to The Grove to check them out.  Maybe I'll just leave my credit card at the office.

Could someone do me a huge favour and scan the picture of the model in the red plaid short poofy skirt with red heels and the swan guy from the tartan tale book for me? I really love the image, but can't find it big and didn't get a chance to get the book. (or if someone has seen it online if they could rec a link that would be great too!)

I would eat the cupcake, too! No comment on how much it would be without the diamond.

  Probably couldn't have come at a better time though with the holidays around the corner. 

 

It happens to me every few months, though. I'm actually surprised I've lasted since June. 

 

So, I broke down and went to my local MAC store today....left with the Warm Thrillseekers Pigment Set. Hopefully by the time these sets hit the CCO I will have finished one or two lipglasses that I already own so that I can justify purchasing one of the mini sets 

Can any colour experts here offer me any guidance as to whether Courting Lilac will suit me? I want to give it a go but I don't feel brave enough, I've never tried a lilac lippy before. I live about 2 hours away from a MAC counter as well so it's not just a case of popping along to swatch it - I only get to one about twice a year

 

I'm roughly a MAC NC15 (I use other brands for my foundation/concealer), blue eyes, red hair (dyed - it's somewhere inbetween a medium and a dark red, with lighter red highlights through it). I tend to wear pinks/corals on my lips, occasionally deeper colours, and I generally do my eye make-up quite dark, although I am open to try any make-up combinations that would work with CL.

 

I've seen pictures on Temptalia with Christine wearing it but she's a totally different coloring to me so that's not much help.

 

I just fancy branching out a bit and embracing some new looks... any guidance/suggestions much appreciated! <3

I'm an NC20, blonde, blue eyes and I love, love, love Courting Lilac.  Its not overpowering at all for our skin tone.  I wear Creme d'nude nearly every day so I'm used to a light lip.  But CL is something I can wear and not feel self conscious about.  I can pull off pinky corals too if that helps.  I can't wear deep, dark colors unless they're plum.   I've been wearing Shale e/s with CL and Gone Romancing l/g overtop.

my gloss sets arrived today. both are really pretty but i prefer the pink set! however mimmy from the coral set is awesome! why did i skip this with hk?!

I checked out the second part of TT today and was able to pass on it as well. The coral gloss set is really nice but I bought a lot of coral earlier this year. I wish they would have had red, berry, and plum glosses.

Got my other lil mini haul today!

Vain and Glorious lipbag- I love Mellow Mood! It's such a pretty muted pink. It doesnt scream... hey I'm pink! lol Baby Sparks is creamier than expected. It feels and looks more like a dazzleglass cream. Pretty though. Dont see me using the lipliner much though.

Lady and Her Tricks brush set- Omg love the bag!!! It's much bigger than expected. It's very well made. I think the brushes are perfectly fine! I finally got my hands on a 187! Cant wait to get the fullsized one some day.  

  

Omg please tell me I DONT need the pink lipgloss set. Must.......re.....sist lol

The Sassy Pink Lassies Lipglass are so beautiful in person. I saw them at the pre-launch party! You're gonna love them :)

Although it's great being able to read all the reviews and see the swatches, I'm having too much time to go back and forward with what I want and it's driving me crazy

 

At least something good came out of this craziness..

I've been so worried Courting Lilac won't show on my lips or that I'll be disappointed on how it looks but today I managed to create my golden purple dream shade. See, I started playing with Violetta and layered some lippies and glosses on top of it. I found some great combinations and finally decided to try Fyrinnae's Flavor of the day (peach with golden shimmer) lip lustre over it and voilà, I've got a very pigmented and definitely more purple version of Courting Lilac.

 

I bet So Bad l/g would look amazing over Violetta!

I got my pink lippies and smokey pigments yesterday!!! I didn't realize, but the tins for both of these have the same tartan print, which is awesome, because they match in my bathroom where they now hold my makeup brushes! :D The lids are attached, but you can easily bend the tin flaps to lift off the lid and push them back if you're planning on using them to store brushes or something :)

 

I love the pinks, and I have to say that Frozen Dream was my surprise favourite! It leans slightly purple on me, and while I can't normally off purples without looking sickly, this was really nice!!! I also really love Electro Lush, and Sassy Lassy looks GORGEOUS over Petals & Peacocks from LoL... I'm sure it would be awesome over FF :) It's quite pigmented on its own, as well! The MAC swatch for it majorly sucks :P In fact, the only swatch that I think is remotely close is Electro Lush, which is almost a raisin. Both Wee Coquette and Fab Fun are quite sheer, but pretty :)

 

For the piggies, I love Naked as a highlight, Jigs & Jives is an awesome, versatile taupe which is perfect for day looks and I used my Blue Brown all over today...

I know it's permanent, but it was sooo worth the wait for me! It is such a cool colour

I do like Dark Soul for a smokey eye - it has lots of glitter, but I'm still not too sure how I'm going to use Reflects Blackened Red... maybe I'll try layering it was a lippie, I just find the pay-off isn't so great, and I'm not sure I want the colour on my eyes!

 

All in all, awesome value and I'm very happy with everything :)

The entire collection's going to be released next Tuesday (16th) so it's not that far away anymore but then I'll have to wait a week or so for the products to be shipped to me. I have no idea why it takes so long for them to ship the stuff but it's so annoying. I usually get my CPs from US faster than my packages from Mac in Helsinki

Another question for you oh-so-wise people (that wasn't mean to sound sarcastic BTW!) - what make-up look do you wear with Cut A Caper? I love love love the colour on my lips, it's just the right side of coral, but when I tried it before a night out I was wearing a smoky eye and a black/purple outfit and it looked all wrong together!

I'm so pleasantly surprised at how much oh so fair bp was included in the hard the heraldry face kit...6.3 grams...after i backed up HTH it made up for the fact that i had no backup to the VV version....
