I cannot decide either whether I like Bubbles or not. I bought it to use it with Big Bow from HK, but the combo turned out too frosty/metallic for my liking. I have to try it out more to see if I can find a way to use it.

I was thinking it would just be redundant since I have tissueweight, ricepaper, dazzlelight, retrospeck...but maybe I should pick it up.

I really hate when they put a perm or repromoted shade that I have in a quad. That's part of the reason why I skipped BB in the Fab Felines collection. I already had showstopper.
Brule is a nice matte all over colour or highlighter!

And I totally agree what you're saying about repromotes in a quad. Especially if there's more than one. The FF quads though were irresistible to me, even with all three repromotes and a total dupe.

Brule is one of those boring in the pan but incredibly versatile shadows you will use a lot once you have it, then ask how you were able to survive without it! I don't have any problems with the texture--it goes on smooth for me. All the other colors you mention lack the matte that Brule has. Except maybe tissue weight--can't remember if that is satin or not--but brule is a workhorse.

Back to ChamPale--looks like they will have 2 gelees? I could go for that! And the Paint pots sound interesting

I bought it to layer, as well, but now that I like bolder lips, I just don't reach for it much. I need to play with it more, for sure.

I actually use it on its own more often than not. I find that the combination of a super-dark eye with Bubbles on the lips is very dramatic. Makes the eyes pop that much more.

Yes, swatches are needed! Luckily, Erin's update is only a few weeks away.

I'll have to try that.

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

I don't like to layer Bubbles over other lipstick, but it looks awesome over a blotted matte lip pencil or lip stains. I can't do the frosty lip thing, it flashes me back to 90's lips (90210 Brenda red brick-brown-rust or whatever that was, and blindingly frosty frosts) but worn over those products or by itself, it works for me.

Cham Pale: Please don't suck. I've loved the sound of this collection from the beginning, please bring home the goods!

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

I like using Bubbles with sheer pink lipglosses. I also use it to tone down my pigmented lips before applying another lipstick.

I know to most this quad looks Boooo-ring. But, I like it! I love neutral colors. But, I do thnk it would have been nice if they would have done a smokey eye quad with a champagne color highlight.

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

I'm so all over this collection!! This is the collection that I'm going to haul after Tartan Tale! I cannot wait for the color story on this!!!!

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

I Never thought if I love brule because is such a plain color( but soft and buttery)compared with stronger colors, though i use it every day, it`s my skin color and that makes it useful, blends nicely the edges of the more colored es
so it might not be loveable but for sure useful

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

I hope that if that is the quad, that they reformulate et tu bouquet...it was so chunky for me!

But overall I'm loving the netural theme (maybe because I'm OBSESSED with neutrals), and more lipgelees since they are my favorite lipgloss from mac

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

Having seen there are twelve pages, I'm not too such whether this pic has come up in the discussion. I found it HERE: okay philistine and given the lipgellees and the nudeness, it seems to fit with this collection. It looks amazing if this is correct. (hopefully).

I love the website link and promo pic you posted. The platinum nail color mentioned sounds exciting.

Okay I am with you on the neutrals theme. I am pretty excited about the collection. I'd love to see some pale neutral lip gelees, the ones from this spring were okay I guess, I wasn't into all the brights with lillyland.

But yeah, they need to improve the Et Tu Bouquet--a gorgeous color but icky texture.

Is that tissue paper looking thing the highlight powder? "one of the Special Reserve Highlight Powders will be called Chez Chez Lame"

IF so, it looks like it could me tres tres lame (that is lame without the accent).

Champany colors are amazing!! I'm wondering of the Highlight Powders are going to be like Marine Life...that was the only highlight powder that I got and I still haven't used it lol

Yes, I was just looking at the description of Retrospeck to figure out which shade Caviar Dreams was.

Edit: Now that I've seen the picture of the actual quad being used at fashion week, I do think it is Retrospeck that is the champagney color in there.

The more I think about it, the more I'm looking forward to this collection. I love champagney colors!

Purdy. I like that it's quite light - normally neutrals are too dark and brassy on me. :S

I used to be like that, I'm starting to really love light neutrals now though..

i think i'm in love.

ugh, mac, first venomous villains, then tartan tale, now this? do you want me to go bankrupt before the new year?

(yes, probably, but it's not very nice of them to cram all these collections i'm going to be obsessed with into such a short amount of time)
