MAC - Cham Pale Discussion - Page 20

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

Thanks so much for the pics, Em!!! I think I will skip this quad and make my own neutral one like lilithsnake6!

The highlight powders will need reviews before I sign on, and I can definitely skip the frosty lipstick.

I love the way those 2 highlight powders look!

Also, Em!! The highlight powders are gorgeous!!!!! The quad looks so pretty!

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

wow the highlight powders look beautiful! i just hope they don't have the rose romance syndrome where they packed the powders so tight to hold the shape that they lost payoff of the product...summer rose in the liberty of london almost seemed like it was a separate product because it wasn't forced into a rose shape....

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

actually, even though the highlight quad doesn't look that interesting i think i am going to get it though because i barely have any highlight colors in the my collection...i never think to get highlight colors because I am always seduced by mac's strong pigmentation...

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

The beauty powders are pretty, although they both look kind of gold-toned... sigh. I'm sure one of them will end up coming home with me. I am not going to let myself get more than one bp/ msf/ blush from any upcoming collection, because I already have too many.

I like the colours in the quad, but three of them look like lustres.

I guess I'll hold off judging, since I actually really like the Burmese Beauty shadow and it's a lustre.

I actually really like the quad
and I want both of those highlight powders

I like the look of both quad and the highlight powders. Just hoping the color payoff will be good. Glad to know I can at least skip one product - frosty neutral lipstick. Hehe.

Thank you so much, iheartmakeup!!!

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

Thanks so much for the photos!
I like the quad but I hope that since some of the colors are not new (if I understood correctly?) I will already have them.

In other news, I don't think anyone has forgotten that today is Erin's update

Usually we're looking forward to the update to see swatches but now is one of the few times that we're actually waiting for whole color stories

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

I actually like the quad and the highlight powder "Rose Ole".

I thought so too I hope that Erin will surprise us and add it to the color story! I'm already starting a list for this collection:
Caviar dreams quad
All of the paint pots (unless they are warm toned)
Rose ole highlight powder
NC 15/NW 20 - Chromagraphic Pencil
I get no kick - Eye Kohl
Feline - Kohl Power Eye Pencil

my list so far is the quad and the paint pots, maybe the lipsticks if they're different from my plethora of nude lippies

I love the look of the quad! So shimmery!

Since I'm still a newbie...I know paint pots are some kind of eye base. I don't have one by now - do they really make such a difference?
I only have a non-colored base.
And what about the CP paint pots? What color will they have? What do you think? And if they are neutral ones will they make any difference compared to an eye make up without the pots?
Sorry for all those questions - I'm just clueless

i don't own any, but they can be used as a base or on their own. a lot of people find they help to make eyeshadows stay put. i'd imagine that the CP ones will be light neutrals, possibly with some shimmer or sheen or possibly even a light silver. i doubt they'd make a big difference to your eye make up other than helping it to stay put.

don't worry about asking questions - we're all happy to help

Thanks a lot! Then I guess I just skip those because I have a great base which helps my eye makeup stay put the whole day!
I'd rather spent my money on the caviar dreams quad anyway, since I don't have many Mac e/s by now and I'm really into neutrals lately, so this quad will be a must-have for me!

I love paint pots I have Painterly as a neutral one that helps eye shadows stick (this with TFSI or with UDPP make my e/s last for hours and hours).
But I use colored paint pots in order to make the eyeshadows pop and be more vibrant, they make a world of difference.

Right now I need a silver/grey p/p and a lilac one, I already have delft, rollickin', otherworldly (the only thing that makes sky blue e/s usuable) , bare study (perfect for the skintone2 from the burmese beauty quad), fresco rose, artifact and greenstroke. I passed on to my mother and sister coral crepe and rubenesque which although beautiful made me look sick, way too warm for me

Re: MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

I think I'll get Urban Decay's Naked palette instead of the Caviar Dreams quad!

Thanks for your help, too!
I already read about rubenesque and I think I'd try this one if I'm going to buy a paint pot one day.
I have warm, yellowish skin (never realized that until I met my husband who has got cool, pink skin), so I think it would fit perfectly!
But it sounds a bit like a bonus product, to make an e/s make up even better so I think I first add on a few e/s before buying a paint pot.

I don't think that's the complete color story, just a collection of what's been posted so far, since a couple of lipsticks are missing, there is no exact info on the colors of the quad and the pics are the ones that have already been posted here on Specktra. So maybe there is still hope for the Dangerous Cuvee PP ?
