Early Buzz Regarding MAC Collections/Products Coming in 2011 - Discussion - Page 72

I've been a lurker on here for so long but I signed up the other week so this is my first post. So hello!

 

Anywho I found this thread the other day and nearly wet myself when I read queens sin may be a possible re-promote this year. It must have really been on my mind as last night I had a dream/nightmare that Mac did a repromote collection that included 3 msf's Metal Rock, Lightscapade & PLEASUREFLUSH. In my dream I set my alarm really early so I could go and queue outside my local Mac and wait for it to open. My alarm didn't go off, and when I finally found my way to my Mac counter after getting completely lost on the way everything had sold out. I couldn't even swatch the tester pleasureflush as it had been completely worn down to the pan. Queens sin was there but it was a metallic purpley/blue and the stick and melted a bit smelt really bad and not vanilla like at all! I woke up in SUCH a bad mood!

 

I don't get why Mac hasn't ever repromoted metal rock, lightscapade & pleasureflush. I mean, Mac must get wind of how popular and sought after they are and they know they'd make a ton of money. It just doesn't make sense. I wrote to Mac ages ago when I was huntin for Lightscapade and they basically just told me to look in the "goodbyes" section :/

 

I've searched around on specktra but haven't read anything of any new MSFs being released this year (other than the natural ones I mean). Does anyone know anything on this? If they aren't going to repromote any old ones I neeeeeeeeed to know I have some thing to look forward to at least!

The article says:

Nobody here understands why Mac has never re-promoted these colours. Seriously. There is such a huge demand for them that it defies belief that they haven't been re-promoted. Sometimes, it seems that Mac folks lurk in these parts to determine what people want and will pay top dollar for, but for some reason, some colours are just never re-promoted.

 

I wonder if there are any collections for June and if we will get info for what is being released in the beginning of July?

There is usually a collection in July...And rumor has it that a new line of glosses will launch.

yeah,there are always quite a few collections in July,we should get info from this update about the collections being released during the first or second week of July.We won't know about what's coming out at the end of July until the next update though.

July should be the mineral collection where we get the awesome looking shadows and msf!

Lipsticks in pan form? It's the first time I hear about this. Does anyone know about it?

OMG! Must. have. lipstick quad!!!!! Looks amazing! I love the Autumn/Winter collections. I already know about three new lipsticks I want plus the quad. Woot woot.

i think we saw a picture of that lipstick aqu a little while back. i wont be buying because i hate using lipsticks with a brush. just not convinient for me and also you cant take it out with you to touch up!

If that website is right, being able to buy pans of lipstick of all the permanent ones would be really nice! You could mix them however you wanted, and buying pans for cheaper is always good! I believe Inglot does lipstick pans.

That is true about not being able to touch up. I will have to wait & see the quality of the colors then. I don't mind using lip brushes or my fingers. I do love lipsticks though.

 

 

i guess that you could always buy the mac lip brush with the lid on it... but then that is more money. eh, i guess i am old fashioned and just like using them from the tube!
 

 

I love lipsticks in a tube as well. Now I am reconsidering the quad. Again, I will have to wait & see how good the quality of the colors are.

HG, how does Moxie compare to CYY?

^ April.. Moxie is a magenta pink vs CYY which is much much lighter hot pink... Moxie is a true classic

 

IF it's released, get two.. you will love it !!
