Chanel lipsticks - Rouge Coco, Rouge Allure, etc. - Page 97

I took the liberty of trying to name these beauties based on description....I wonder how many I got right?  The reds were tough........

For some reason I can see the pic in my edit box, but when I submit it the picture disappears...... 

This attempt didn't work either.....so odd.  I can see it plain as day when I am in edit mode.....wonder what's up?

It occurred to me that the sequencing went from left to right then right to left, then left to right again for the beiges, pinks and reds.....then left to right for the browns.....

What do you think?

Is that what you mean? I can buy that, but then you've lost me. Where do the corals come in? I was thinking Enjouee, the pink Coral , might be first on the left in the second row? Honestly it looks to me like there's 1 too few pinks and 1 too many browns in the picture.

I did some more searching and ordered it from another store. In my panic, I also added Flamboyante and Insolente to my cart. I'm on pins and needles waiting for my shipping notice. It's funny, but I did receive a shipping notice from Nordstrom for the free sample items.

 

Are there any other of these discontinued Rouge Allure shades that are considered must haves before they're gone? Famous is on my list, and Pinkdollface's picture has confirmed that's a good choice. It looks really pretty.

Flamboyante is gorgeous too.

LOL!!!  Darn, I wish my pic would show up!!  I just meant like an 'S' almost, going from the lower left to the upper right through the rows.  It almost makes sense, but that's not what I came up with.  I'm not sure about all of the reds - I think I pegged a couple, but the descriptions are somewhat lacking on a few of them:

Here's what I think they are (though I might have Exaltee & Extatique reversed):

Bottom row (L-R):  Evanescante   Pimpante   Seduisante

Second row (L-R):  Enjoee   Exaltee  Exstatique

Third row (L-R):  Excentrique   Pirate   Coromandel

Fourth row (L-R):  Palpitante   Icandescente   Passion   Inimitable

Fifth row (L-R):  Determiee   Rouge Noir   Deluree

Hmm, isn't Incandescente supposed to be a SUPER bright red? That one in third row on the far right looks like the brightest red to me, by far.  So I think that one might be Incandescente, and the red behind it Coromandel.

Yes I think we have different names in Europe. I've never heard of a JC " Tumulte " here, for the new Rouges Allures well I don't know.

Look really pretty, names are great too. Coromandel, Dragon and Pirate refer to nail polishes here.

I did find it monday already, but got Famous instead. I'm sure they'll have at least one in Amsterdam, but I should just be happy with Famous and skip it (considering my wallet is getting empty).

Agree that the colour is made for you! Famous has pink undertones. I tried it on before and it didn't look good on me.

Thank you:) I'm sure there are other Chanel reds that look amazing on you! They have so much choice. Now I just need to find a lipliner for it. I was thinking Beet from Mac would be a good one for it.

OMG I found a Dragon! I just called a couple of places and one still had it and I can pick it up friday!

I found two stores in the netherlands that I can go to and both only have 1 left. I'm sorry, but I would like to keep both. I called a lot of stores and one lady went looking in the computer system and found out which stores still had it. There are two other stores in the netherlands that have it, but its too far away for me:( Maybe you can call a couple of stores yourself and ask them to look in the computer system. You might be lucky and find one yourself!

Thanks and no worries. You deserve them after all of that detective work! Lol, in this day and age I never thought to place a phone call. And I've never been much of a phone person to begin with. Hopefully I will get lucky. Congrats!

I'm also not a phone person, but if that's the way to get discontinued items I'm completely fine with it! I'm in such a good mood now! I really hope you can find it as well.

I was a bit panicked when my lipstick was in transit over the weekend. I put it in the fridge right away.
