Chanel lipsticks - Rouge Coco, Rouge Allure, etc. - Page 101

Went shopping today, and stopped by the store for the swatches i promised :)

I couldn't make a comparison swatch of Insolente and Extatique tho, because the tester of Insolente was already sent back to the Chanel factory

Also couldn't swatch Secrète, that lipstick still wasn't available in the store, weird

But i DID get a swatch of Extatique and also of Enjouée (first time i saw Enjouée in store) and i must say i'm in love

Enjouée is a REALLY bright pinkish coral, but it's soooo beautiful

I ended up buying it straight away, wasn't planning on buying another lipstick today but oh well ..

Here's the pic, was hard to take a good picture cause of the weather conditions, but you'll get an idea .. :)

Ooh, I'm a fan of Palpitante and Passion now :) Will see if I can check them out this Thursday.

Extatique, Enjouée

Thank you so much Liz! I think Extatique will work with my complextion. :) It is cool-toned blue pink in person, right?

Ohh, I wonder how Enjouee compares to Flamboyante? Flamboyante's my most fave lippy EVAR and one of the few I've ever finished, but I found a decent dupe in a Kanebo lipstick (Hanezu) so I didn't buy a backup.

Extatique, Enjouée

Very tempted by Enjouee! It reminds me a little of Mac's Fusion Pink, which is one of my favourite bright shades ever. I'm going to have to start stalking my Chanel counters.

I may have missed it, but does anyone know when the new Rouge Allures will be released in the US?

All chanel.com would tell me was "within the next week or two". Maybe you can get something more out of them. Give it a try!  Someone on here said their Nordies said they'd have them August 6, if I recall correctly. So all in all it should be very soon.

I also read that the US release date is August 6, for Europe it should be September.

Thanks! I thought I recalled seeing August somewhere, but wasn't sure if I was getting it mixed up with a few pending MAC collections. There's too many collections to keep track of at this rate.

How would you describe Enthusiast? That's still my favorite red!  But I think maybe it's a coral-red and there doesn't look like anything remotely similar among the new ones?

I'm going to guess any of the middle 4. Passion looks lovely.

I wore Enthusiast all weekend. I LOVE that shade. A coral/orange red. It is such a flattering color. From those swatches, it looks like a mix of Excentrique, Coromandel.

Go get Jcrews Chili Flake lipstick!!!  Its bright but gorgeous on & it last forever.

It's funny, because I actually really liked the "semi-opaque" coverage of some of the Rouge Allures. It's like they were far from sheer, but they weren't full coverage like the Rouge Cocos. I'll be happy to see the new ones, but I'll kinda miss the shades that we're giving up as a result. 

I love Pirate np, so I must have the RA! Rouge Noir looks gorgeous too, but I probably won't wear it enough to justify buying it.

I wonder how different Rouge Noir will be from Rouge Noir RC formula. I have the RC formula and it's one of my fave vampy shades ever (and I have a tone of vampy lipsticks). If it's different enough I shall pick it up

I know the convo about Chanel's Rouge Allure Laque Dragon has passed quite some time now, but just wanted to say that yesterday i FINALLY managed to buy mine lol ..

Had to wait like 3 weeks for it because it had to be sent from another store to a store that's closer to where i live

But nonetheless, i'm really excited i could still get one

It's possible, yes. I guess you have to be extremely lucky tho, i made calls to ALOT of stores in Belgium, even some in the Netherlands

Luckily i managed to still find a store who had it, got the very last one there.
