I've decided I need to start saving more, so in addition to cutting back TT, I've decided to only get maybe Peacocky and definitely Love Peck. As far as how many, who knows. I still can't find anything about the formula going bad quickly even though I've searched through the 2010 thread. Have to look harder I guess.

No you didn't I also remember that discussion but I think she said it about the older similar product (maybe lip lacquers or something similar) not about this new formula.

You aren't going mental I remember her saying something how she has a small fridge she keeps her lips products in so they don't go bad. I tried looking in the discussion to and cant find anything. First I hope hergreyness is ok and second I hope she didn't disappear after the whole not releasing info to early incident.

yes i hope she hasn't gone either! perhaps she is just busy with life and such. i won't be that active over the next couple of days myself because i'll be at a managers conferece.

I wonder if Unflappable (frosted black with purple pearlized pigments) is anything like Later pigment, cause if it is, I'd rather have it in pan form!

And I am hoping that Tweet Me (Gold bronze) and/or Paparazz-she (Deep copper bronze) are similar enough to UD Baked and Half-Baked that I don't need to buy them!

Swatches would be a mind-saver right now! haha

Definitely feeling the need for swatches to make any decisions on this one. Well, other than Peacocky and Love Peck, which are going to be in my purse before they ever touch the counter...

 I am back.. but the whole place has been turned upside down

 

This is a whole new room and I will have to learn it and adjust.  Thanks to all for the concern -- I really appreciate it and am happy to be able to return to normal Spectra life

 

I have been busy working again --again in Europe so I really had no time to even log in to say hi:( -- I also have personal issues with my sister who is quite sick (she has Multiple Myeloma - Stage 3-4) so I had to fly her home to be with my mom at our family home.. I don't know how long it will be but I will try with my mother to make her days as comfortable and easy as possible... other than that, my work is progressing as usual.. no, I cannot tell  what exactly is going on but I will tell you I did get a very very good view of trends (which I hope to have time on the weekend to post pics) which will be upcoming for 2011 and yes, 2012... 

 

As refers the "Peacocky" collex, known to me as MegaMetals from months ago, lol -- I would like to clarify again that these are:

 

1. Powder form -- not cream.  They feel creamy, BUT THEY ARE POWDER.

2. THE COLOURS: GORGEOUS AND METALLIC

3. Nothing in this collection has any particular smell (although I can tell you that MAC is considering changing the traditional vanilla scent! . but that is not decided yet.

4. The size of the pans is comparable to the MES sizes -- they are large and the prices will henceforth reflect the size.

 

(dang it, I don't know how to use this system!) and it feels like there are a lot less emoticons... anyway, it is lovely to be back and I have missed all the lovely Spectra ladies:)

 

 

No, the colours from UD are not at all similar to Peacocky

MAC may change the vanilla scent? Wow. I'm surprised. But, I'm glad these don't have a weird smell.

 

I'm still getting used to it, too. It may take awhile. But, in a few weeks, I'm sure I won't even remember what the old Specktra looked like.

Oh, and yes, I have many refrigerators -- but do not store food in them... lol.  They are for ls/lg/ ccbs (even though these are quite stable), and any cream/glycerin/lanolin based products -- it is a necessary evil for my work

I don't want them to change the scent! I love the scent. I guess it's possible to make it something I love even more but... This is where I would insert the thumbs down guy.

HerGreyness, thank you so much for your informative post! Very interesting and I cannot wait. I can't believe they are considering changing the scent, though. It has always worked imo so why change it? I just went smelling some of my glosses and went 'ahhhh'...it really is a smell I'm fond of and immediately think "MAC"

I really like the vanilla scent, I would hate for them to chenge it!

Thanks to all for welcome back and for best wishes with my sister... as I always say, life is hard and many times very painful.  I will hope for a miracle but will accept God's will.

 

 

as to MAC -- BTT :

 

there is no confirmation of a new scent/ no scent -- there are samples of scents, and alternately NO scents for ls/lg... it is to keep up with competition. ... this is just in the testing/demographics stages.

And if MAC would change the Vanilla scent my wallet would breath an immense sigh of relief. So MAC better not make that happen and sticks with Vanilla.
