Okaaaay then!!!

Jeeez, the collections for 2011 rolling in thick and fast I see.
I find it odd that that's the product they chose to name it after. I will be getting it, though, as it sounds divine.

according to HerGreyness, these are nothing like those crappy metal-x eyeshadows. they are more like the starflash ones

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

My wallet just had a heart attack! I can't even begin thinking about getting those lippies when there are so many amazing shadows to come out! Anyone want to buy my brother so I can get all of them? He's house trained!

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

New Metallic Eyeshadows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Squeeeeeeeee

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

I actually don't think I'll get many shadows. There are a few I want, but I'm gonna focus on the lippies, my true love. The blackened blood red sounds like something I've been dreaming about. Don't be surprised if I buy out the website and all of the counters in my area.

If they're that amazing and huge, then maybe they're worth $18...but they appear to be lipsticks, not lipglass.

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

Nope, these are lipglosses, ladies!
One of the specktrettes posted an interview she's done with one of the Mac artists, who showed her one of these new lipgloss products

Blackened blood red? Now that sounds tasty. You Specktra ladies are indoctrinating me to the Dark Side. Maybe you're part Sith???

there are no new gloss formulas this season.

remember lip lacquers??? those were liquid lipsticks.

ponder that for a moment.

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

From the description: Kissable Lipcolour US$18 (LE)

"provides medium coverage with the creamy comfort of a lipstick and a shiny finish of a lipgloss. the lightweight, comfortable formula is loaded with super emollient ingredients that provide a cushiony feel on the lips. the colour flows like silk, encasing the lips in creamy, luscious colour. like a molten lipstick, the product melts onto thel ips and feels light and airy. it provides medium coverage with a luminous, smooth finish. its feather-resistant and wears for hours."

It's not really clear which it is, but if it is like the Dare to Wear style (and it is the same price), I will be in heaven...and asking for MAC gift cards for my birthday.

packaging, not formula.

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

Aha! I should have said lipcolour, rather than lipgloss then!

I hope it will be ok for me to post Krasey Beauty's youtube video here, since she only referred to it in her post, but didn't post a link or the actual video there. I found it after some googling, cos I got really curious.

EDIT: I've just realized I don't know how to embed youtube videos in Specktra posts.

That would be nice. But what I'd really, really like is a lip stain. You know, that stains the lips for a decent amount of time. But doesn't need a sandblaster to take it off

That was my first reaction too... Then I got distracted by allll the shadows and awesome sounding lip colors. Haha, lame name but I feel this has potential for sure! I love any new collection with a bunch of shadows. Shadow addict!

Be careful what you wish for, just watch the video!
I've just re-watched it myself, and Romero J says that it feels like you put lip pencil, lipstick and lipgloss together, has amazing staying power and it stains the lips slightly too.

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

I'm so so so excited for this! I'm a sucker for any new lip products and the colors sound amazing.

The name of this collection makes me think of Katy Perry's "Peacock" song! haha

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

So, of course I make a gigantic VV haul under the assumption that I'll go easy on the MAC for a while... Figured I could do without major hauling until maybe the spring collection or so...

.......... Yeah. THAT's gonna happen. *facepalm*.

No chance, LOL!

I am so surprised by this collection coming out so early, as speculations were being made, that this would be coming out with spring collections!

I want so many of these eyeshadows, and was hoping to have enough time to save some money up for them. Looks like I'll have to live on bread and water in Jan, lol. Our wallets will already be raped by Christmas shopping and semi-annual sales season, and Mac is making it even more difficult for us now

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

I love what I am reading about the collection. I will be skipping holiday, grabbing a new paintpot or two and the fix+lavender from Champale and just saving for this! I don't even know what colors I want at this point. Just as long as I get a few pots of this interesting shadow formula and finish.

Just a few, the new price is a bit hefty for a big splurge. I hope I can pull it off!

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

I was going down the list of lip shades, making a mental list when I stumbled upon the last one: peacocky-sky blue with red pearlized pigments.
This is sooooo mine! I can't even ponder the eyeshadows right now.

Re: MAC - Peacocky discussion

I think my must haves at this point are:
Sexpectations (metallic burgandy)
Odalisque (deep teal)
Unflappable (frosty black with purple pearl)
Noir Plum (true purple with silver pearl)

Those I should be able to afford, but hopefully I'll be able to get more by then!
