Looking forward to the summer collection 2011  

me! i'm excited for summer collections! neo sci fi has been my fave so far though :) i would love to see some pink packaging or perhaps even teal with gold sparkle :)

I am definitely very excited!! And I agree, a nice pink similar to Heatherette would be fabulous!! A baby pink this time! =P

Wow I can't believe that we are talking about MAC summer already!  I am not complaining though!  Those are some of the best collections. 

 

I love Lou's idea of teal with gold sparkle!!  That would be drool worthy!

I'm so not meant for summer collections! Warm and shimmery equals bad on me. I love my smokey shades and my pale mattes. Next summer, I may buy a lip product or two. Just probably no eye products.

 

But a teal with gold may have to come home with me!

MAC makes the terrible heat of summer worth it :)

Both Style Warriors and To The Beach were the collections that I loved most for the summer! I will be saving up for the summer collection for 2011. I do imagine the hot pink packaging like the Heatherette or maybe a bright green or a gorgeous teal packaging.

I loved Neo Sci-Fi, it was awesome!

 

Next summer I'd love to see:

 

- A different take on cream bronzer (I wasn't a fan of the ones that came out with To the Beach). Maybe in a mousse forumulation, similar to Chanel's Bronze Universal?

- A new lightweight, moisturising lipstick to replace the (sadly discontinued) Slimshines

- Gel blushes or cheek stains in soft peach or coral

- A summer face palette that I can take away on my holidays!

I'm looking forward to MAC's summer collection because I'm new to the makeup game so I've missed the previous ones.  I've seen swatches of the collections mentioned and I'm so sad I didn't obtain some of those items.  Bring on summer (I hate winter)!

Sigh... I'm just not that much of a summer girl. That said, I did end up getting more items than I thought I would from TTB, so maybe Mac will find one more way to twist my rubber arm. I'm just not a fan of bronzes and golds so much. I'm really much more about the fall makeup collections and sometimes Spring. Summer tends to be the one that I opt out of. (Although I did pick up a couple of items from both Style Warriors and NeoSciFi, so I'm not a total lost cause.) After the glut of this year, I think 2011 will be slower for me.

I tend to get more out of the fall/spring collections. That being said, bright teal packaging for the next summer collection would be awesome. Great ideas.

- There was already some talk about a new powder bronzer (actually I'm recalling it was a Mineralize one - something different than the MSFs)

- Also already there's been talk about new, gel formula stains for lips and cheeks, but I bet that will come out separately from the official special packaging summer collection to feature it more prominently.

 

Things I'd love to see:

- Purple packaging

- A bright royal purple eye liner, kohl or greasepaint stick

- Blue-purple lipstick or gloss (I bet we'll get these purples, though maybe not this collection)

 

Predictions:

- Good chance the packaging could be bright yellow (if Wonder Woman's packaging is gold, the yellow summer packaging chances go down a bit)

- There will be a bright yellow shadow - Chrome Yellow or Acid Yellow

- There will be a peacock green shimmery shadow or eye pencil and/or a bright royal or marine blue; or if not this more blueish story, then a vibrant khaki green and copper theme.

- There will be a deep brown blush and a fire red blush 

- Orange or red/orange lippies, lustre or dazzle finish, with complimenting lip glass, as well as a cinnamon spice color. 

 

Obviously this is all speculation, but I'm pretty good with the educated guess that these are going to be the hottest colors of the summer, along with metallics.

Blue purple l/s or gloss would be amazing. I'm sort of wondering what the proportion of new products to repromotes/ pro products will be. It seemed relatively low this year, considering all the products that came out.

 

Liba- I think your guesses sound very reasonable, although I have to say that the only ones that really turn my crank are the purple lippie and the idea of a collection featuring khaki. An underrepresented colour in my makeup palette.

I'm excited about a good summer collection too! I didn't like this year's so much, but I loved Lure, Neo Sci Fi and Cool Heat :) I hope that we see more matt bronzers this year, maybe three of them (for fair, medium and dark skintones). I also want to see juicy bright lipsticks :D

My experience has told me that Kim K is impossible to shut up.
