Feeling Flush is the only item I kind of wish I had gotten and makes me wish I had more money to spend on this collection.

My MA had to peel that buki brush of my hands. The other brushes felt too stiff for me. I like fluffier brushes like the 227, 224, 116 etc. I only use stiff brushes for concealer and for putting on pigments/glitter...not for blending, but that buki brush blends sooo well. I don't have the 182 so I may just go back and get it. It's so soft. And Dusty O was right, you can't tell which side of the buki the synthetic hairs are on and you can't tell which side the goat hairs are on. That brush is so soft and densely just right. *going to go dream about it now*
The brush was suuuper soft - I wanted to get it based on that alone!

Just incase anybody is wondering about the wear of the mineralized eye shadows I did a look this morning using mineral mode and quartz fusion. I applied my usual base of nars lid primer and then painterly paint pot. I applied the eye shadow just before 9 this morning and it's just under twelve hours later and no creases or fading. I used mm dry (it's got great coverage) and qf both wet and dry. I am really really happy with these shadows. I am toying with the idea of getting jades fortune if they have any left next week. Is it worth getting if I have unsurpassable already?
I wore Golden Gaze all over my lid and Smoked Ruby on my crease under UD primer potion and it also wore all day with no creasing at all and I must mention I have oily lids!
Your making me want Goldstone now! I'm already considering going back for Pearl next week!

Did you get any MSF yet?
I also got good wear out of Goldstone and Pressed Amber. It did not fade - nor did it last longer than a regular bronzer/blush.

yes this i so true! i also think that some bloggers just repeat what the more popular bloggers have said without really trying things out for themselves. so before you know it everybody seems to be turned off by a certain product. That is why i listen to what my fellow specktra members think of products because we get a wide variety of taste and opinions as well as awesome swatches!
I rely heavily on my fellow Specktra members & their opinions. If I would've only listened to certain bloggers, I wouldn't have given the mes a second look. Now, I'm overjoyed that I got 3 of them ^_^

I got my goodies yesterday!
I picked up my Gem of Roses after work, which is gorgeous - I went in with a friend, having nothing on my lips, and I put it on in front of her and she was shocked - she said it was amazing how it brightened up my face and complexion, but it was still so natural and soft - she ended up buying one too, even though she hates lipstick! lol For me, it is a perfect, year-round everyday pink :)
Then I got home and my package was waiting for me! I got Lush Amber, Natural Flare, Pearl, Golden Gaze and Rare Find. I love LA and NF, especially together - they make a gorgeous warm nude lip. Possibly my favourites from everything, believe it or not! My Pearl MSF is lovely, although it only has half a nipple, which I find strange! lol - I'll post pictures later. I really love the outer circle champagne colour, so I'm happy with the one that I got :) I did find it a touch more glittery than I was expecting, but nothing over the top - still appropriate for day :) It will not replace my By Candlelight, but it is still lovely :)
I wore Rare Find today all on its own - a gorgeous muted purply taupe colour with some soft shimmer and glitter throughout. Really brought out the green in my mixed-up hazely eyes. I haven't used my GG yet - that's for tomorrow on my day off!
If I could have, I would have loved to pick up SR, Clarity, all 3 blushes, Goldstone and some brushes... but I had to be selective! I'm really happy with what I've got now, so that's what counts :)

My friend is not happy with her Smoked Ruby...she says it's hella black and it doesn't look like mine. Told her to hurrup and switch it out with a redder looking one. These marbilized to death MES are a hit or miss. I only got Smoke Ruby, but I was loving Quartz Fusion, Golden Gaze and Faux Gold after playing around with them at the counter. I see that Golden Gaze is sold out on the website...it's so pretty.
I'm loving my Rose Quartz MSF A LOT! I am wearing and MAC orange cream blush (forget the name - Lilyland coll.) under MAC My Paradise blush today. I popped Rose Quartz right over it and it didn't look hella shimmery at all and I put quite a lot because I wanted to see if it would turn into a glitter bomb. It didn't! It's gorgeous and most importantly it doesn't go on ashy! Pearl is pretty, but it's not unique so it's going back.

K, so I took some photos of my stuff and some swatches in natural lighting for everyone:
Lush Amber Gem of Roses
Natural Flare
Semi-Precious Pearl MSF (with odd, lop-sided half nipple!)
Rare Find MES Golden Gaze MES
(Top to Bottom): Gem of Roses, Lush Amber topped w/ Natural Flare, Natural Flare, Lush Amber
Rare Find Golden Gaze
Semi-Precious Pearl MSF, Left to Right - Mixed, Nipple, Outer Ring
I took all the pics in natural lighting. The arm swatches of the MES are on top by TFSI. My Pearl has quite a lot of bronze/gold, so it might be a little less red than some others.
HTH! :)

I'm going to the store or counter tomorrow to check out the mes in person. i'm not so much interested in the msf. But you guys are really making me want way more of the mes than I had planned on getting.
The looks you guys have done are beautiul and show how you can vary the intensity in these.

Also, I find the new brushes I got to be of great quality. I purchased the two eye brushes and plan to get the cheek brush tomorrow and maybe the kubuki too. I have a large collection of MAC brushes that I have purchased over the last 12 years and all of them look pretty much new after being washed countless times. I am refering to the regular size brushes not the SE ones which are of course not the same quality. Some of the older ones have the numbers rubbed off but I have never coated the numbers on mine with clear nail polish as some people do. I do not think you will find these of less quality.

can you post swatches of warmth of coral?

I only picked up 2 things today from Semi-Precious :)
I ended up getting Warmth of Coral and Geo Pink. Since I was at Nordies, I have a card so I was able to get in to see the Colorizations collection. I was kinda blown away with the duos... they are so much prettier in person.

Thanks doll! It turns out to be a boil in my left nostril. I know, its gross & you dolls probably don't want to hear about it...
But, I have never had one in my nose, I got my 1st on on my thigh a couple months ago, I just don't get why they're just popping up now!? My whole upper lip is swollen & my bf says I look like Cindy Who from the Grinch & that it looks like I had a bad collagen lip job. The swollen part of my lip hurts more than my nose does. I can't force it to pop since the blood vessels in the nose go to the brain, so I have to let it drain on its own.
I have been putting hot compresses on my nose/lip area & boil-ease on it, but I don't think it's working to well since the inside of my nose can't stay dry.
I have been so wiped out because of it...I can't sleep to save my life, since it hurts any way I lay...ugh just take me out back & shoot me!!
Sorry for the long off topic rant, but I am just really frustrated!
So glad you found that inspirational and I hope you just love Unsurpassable as much as I do
please let me know how you get on with blue sheen
Thanks Alisha, how are you finding your goodies lovely?

I completely agree with you. I think the problem is that people over-rely too much on reviews of bloggers rather than attempting to form their own opinion. It is important to keep in mind your personal preferences, how you like to work with a product, what color pay-off you want, etc. For example, a lot of reviews for Surf Baby rated My Paradise's gold overlay in a negative way, but personally, I think it is the best feature of MP. So who is right? I would say both parties, but each of them has a different taste and dislikes. Same for Semi-Precious: some of us like glitter/shimmer, other simply cannot deal with any kind of glitter and/or fall-out.
Personally, I am very happy with the quality of Semi-Precious, but just because I like the MSF and the brushes doesn't mean they are perfect or better than any other collection. As stated above, it is important to test out the product in store - and I realize that this is not always possible. My advice is to check your stash and compare your go-to products with the qualities that the SP collection has to offer before you buy and/or order online. It's sad to see bad reviews on bloggers' website or Make Up Alley just because a person had to move out of their comfort zone (in terms of application technique) or simply applies a product the wrong way. IMO, these are not objective product reviews but simply a description of a personal experience (there is nothing wrong with it, but it should be considered with a grain of salt when evaluating a collection).
Finally, there is nothing wrong with passing a collection. The Fall collections are just around the corner and there will be new and exciting products. Happy hauling.
Oh for sure, but I think some times bloggers form opinions based on more popular blogs too - and you get a product description without someone actually working with the product. I think most reviews will be biased but it's skill to be objective even when something isn't to your taste.
Bless you sweet, what are you loving from SP?

I really really love using this as a blush - it's such a subtle flush and it the slight sheen gives my skin a gorgeous glow without being too obvious.
Adore

Thank you for all of the pics of your different looks! OK I have decided to go to Nordstroms today and look at these. I have a couple of hours to play before the big family dinner tonight b/c DH got off work & can watch the kids. Yeah! Hopefully I won't get the crappy service that everyone is complaining about - makes me think that I should order all of my anniversary sale stuff online & skip actually going to the store.
Oh man, I'm such a wicked enabler. am sorry but hope you loved it all, do let us know what ya got girl or what you loved

I wore Gem of Roses today. I was very impressed! It's a gorgeous strawberry rose (?) shade, and it still looks natural. Great job, MAC!

Personally, Gem of Roses is my new go-to MLBB (My Lips But Better) lipstick! I love it! I also purchased Golden Glaze, Blue Sheen, & Smoked Ruby. I haven't done any eye looks with them yet, but they swatch wonderfully ^_^

So this is what I actually got
MSF- Rose Quartz, Goldstone , Precious Pearl
MES - Dark Indulgence
Mac 128 brush
Mac 235 brush
I keep lemming GoR and Smoked Ruby! My youngest step daughter has begged me to take her shopping to hollister, and my nearest MAC is there too - I'm not sure I'll resist!

I never got any msf's although I did swatch Pearl and its so pretty! I think I may go back for that and Goldstone. Pressed Amber was the prettiest blush imo, but I never purchased it as I have similar shades which I barely reach for.
Both are gorgeous! If you can only pick up one I would highly recommend GoR - I love that lippie!

Out of everything I bought, so far I have only used feeling flush blush.
I have used it for the past 2 days so far.....
I LOVE IT!!! <3
I will try to post a pic tomorrow. It is very pigmented, but I don't feel it's to crazy on me (I'm NC37 for reference). So I think if you are tan/darker complected, this is the color for you! If you're lighter, just use a very easy hand with it. And blend to perfection ;)
