BfrigginS I just wanna at least see samples sent to bloggers to know if the wait is even worth it!

maybe they're sitting in customs or something...

Same! It's really turning a lot of people off and unless mac sends all the bloggers samples and an explanation for why it's taking so long real soon, by the time this collection comes out people will probably be turned off since we don't know how the new formula is and how good the majority of the colors are. I would be happy even if we had one swatch and a description of the formula with it.

The only swatch I even care about is the lavender gloss....

but with this wait I'm not even sure I'm that interested anymore =\

I'm curious if the new release date - whenever that is - also means a higher price will be in effect...

I didn't even think about a higher price. I am not about them rushing.  If something was wrong that was potentially dangerous I am glad they are working it out!

eeksign.gif no no no please no! We already have to suffer from this long long wait (and i hope MAC will give us an explanation to this) but to have a price raise would make it worse!

Agree, we have no idea what the reason is and it might even be that the company that makes the displayer got something wrong, whatever.
Being aware of collections early also has a downside. I am not complaining, a delay is much better than not knowing when new collections come and what is in them.

yes you are very right - there could be a misprint somewhere... who knows!

The reason it is delayed could also be because of the price hike... they are a business after all.

I don`t like this topic about price going up :(

As long as it is not another Rodarte mishap, we should be fine.

The price increase has affected almost all the products, ranging from $0.50 to $2, at least for the US. Not sure about other countries.

I don't think the UK has had an increase. It may be on it's way though for all we know :/

Mac-Guy, you don`t wanna know the prices in Romania ( around 22$ for a lippencil, almost 30 for an eyeshadow or lipstick) that`s why I prefer to buy in US, but that means I have to rely on swatches online, because here they come with delay so no swatches prior to appearing online for sale it`s upsetting and they lose sales for this

Oh, that's a lot. But as I posted elsewhere, imported goods are always on the more expensive side. Let's keep fingers crossed that the prices remain stable.

Well so far, MAC has raised the prices on mostly just eye products. This is a lip collection and all their lipglasses are the same price at $14.50. The glamglass was labeled at $14.50. Even the lip products for MAC Me Over and Cindy Sherman remain at $14.50 while almost every other product price has been risen.  This leads me to believe it has nothing to do with the price increase.

UPDATE: guys i just called a few mac stores and they say that this collection is now cancelled :(

Lol, I just had to think of the promo pic, which looked like one of the models were drooling gloss :)    Oh my... why did they realize this so late in the game?

UPDATE again: I called MAC customer service they said it is NOT cancelled just delayed now omggg

I'm starting to wonder if maybe it's a health & safety issue, I mean, why else would they delay a collection for so long?

The delay feels longer than it actually is as the original release date was 7/28, which is only a few days ago.

They would have been released at PRO stores beforehand, and bloggers would have received swatches a few weeks before that.  If the collection was going to be delayed by a few days only, bloggers would have received swatches a few days late, and pro stores would have them in by now.  I think we might be in for quite a wait, if they come out at all.

I called my mac counter and I was told it was already released at mac stores. That sounded wrong to me so I called my mac store to check and she told me they still haven't gotten the products or any info on when the collection was coming out. I have completely lost interest for this collection ssad.gif

I was really looking forward to this collection, but with all the hassle of not knowing when it's coming is starting to get on my nerves. If this ever does actually come out I know I'll be buying a heck of a lot less than I would have if it would have dropped last month.

If anything, I'll only be getting a lip pencil and one gloss.

I have never known a company more disorganized with product info and dates, what a turn off!

That's what I think because any other reason would not be good enough IMO with this giant delay! I at least think they should say something to the MUA's so when people are calling and asking about it they can say "Well, while we don't know the release date, it has been delayed because......" if they would at least do that then I would not be as annoyed
