Played with these yesterday-I am for sure grabbing Hyperion nail polish! I saw the less-than-stellar reviews but I had absolutely no problems with it last night! It is such a beautiful color-not too blue, not to green, just a minty turquoise cream that looks striking yet dainty and very unique. I am thinking of picking up an Endless Night nail lacquer as well-I am a sucker for nude nail colors and this one is a nude pink-brown with soft pink shimmer.
Cremesheen lip glasses are my all-time favorite formulas-I love how comfortable they feel on the lips. Very hydrating and not at all sticky-so I will end up with three of these. I got Japanese Spring already and I'm going to buy a Borealis and a Narcissus for sure. Borealis and Japanese Spring are very sheer, just a note. But I don't mind-I generally use my Cremesheens either when I'm not wearing other makeup and just want a little something on the lips, or I layer them over stickier glosses because I prefer the CS texture so much. Narcissus is beautiful-it will be stunning over Up the Amp lipstick which is one of my all-time favorites.
I'm skipping the lipsticks for a few reasons: mainly, it takes an awful lot for me to buy lip products since I usually just apply those at work. Also, I'm not the biggest fan of the Prolongwear Lip Cremes. I find them too sticky and drying for my taste. They certainly have their uses, especially if you need a lip color to last you for a long time. Red Dwarf looks beautiful, a very vibrant berry kind of color...like a red-based rose. I have Warp Speed which I think will look nice over a deeper lip pencil like Vino or Nightmoth. Seasoned Plum reminds me a lot of Bust Out! from Surf Baby, and Approaching Storm is a lot more brown-based than the "deep rose" description entails-I think it will vary a lot from person to person depending on your skin's undertones.
The pigments are gorgeous! I will definitely pick up Aurora, and most likely the other two. The "pearlized pigments" in Nebula are really pretty-it looks like a smoky-eye version of Club eyeshadow because it's a deeper, duskier shade with softer reflect. I also really love the Interior Life quad, personally. I really like the color scheme in general. I can't speak to the pigmentation issues other people seem to be having, though-so far I've only used mine to make face charts since we can't actually wear any of these products to work yet ;) I will definitely let you guys know though-when swatching the shades, I have the same difficulty because the shades don't seem all that creamy, however there's a big difference between how formulas swatch and how they actually perform.
So far this is one of my favorite collections of the year-although I generally love anything deep and rich and goth-inspired so I'm fairly biased ;) All I need are some creepy contacts so I can do it up for the next few weeks. Happy hauling everyone!!
