Just got back from staying with the kids for a few days - YAY! I LOVED it so much that I didn't want to come home.

 

I did get to go to our awesome awesome far away outdoor mall on the way home. And, a pottery barn outlet

I am definitely getting both shines, Calypso & the dark brown eye pencil

Just got back from our mall, and they have the collection! I have to thank my great MUA's, who called me to let me know it showed up today.

 

I picked up:

 

Sable Rose bronzing powder

En Vogue rouge coco

Pêche Cuivré crayon khol

Sable-Emouvant eyeshadow duo

Brun Intense pencil

 

I will be going back for Empreinte, probably, and definitely the Soleil de Tan luminizing liquid (I should have bought that today!!) along with a few other things.

Elegant -- so glad I got Lovecloud.  It is so gorgeous!!  The sales lady put Immortal Flower on me, which is a gorgeous shade, but she put so much on it looked like I had racing stripes on my cheeks   I didn't realize until I caught my reflection in a different store.  Oh my word, I must have looked like a crazy lady.  Hello MAC lady -- it's all in the blending!  ha  Looks like I need to go get Peony Petal, too :)

 

So glad you got to spend some time with your kids.  So fun.  I'm sure they loved it, too.  And Yay for gorgeous malls and PB outlets!!

I am loving the bronzer. They had a special makeup artist there, and I was actually the only one shopping (?!) so she took a lot of time and put some makeup on me, and really explained how to put the bronzer on right, and I really look like I am sun-kissed!
 

I have to say, I am lucky. I have only met one Chanel MUA that I didn't absolutely LOVE (and to be fair, I barely had contact with the one I can't comment on). They're all really great.

 

I was slightly worried about En Vogue, and I wasn't planning on really getting it, but she used that on me, covered with Sirocco, and I was sold. I didn't buy Sirocco yet, but I'll probably end up with it, too. I just wanted to try a few other glossimers kind of like it before buying it.

 

I am having severe non-buying regret on a few things. I already can't wait to get back there!

 

I have been thinking about the luminizing liquid as well.  Do you think that the liquid + bronzer would be too much?  Do you plan to use them separately or together in one look?

They used them on me together, and it's definitely not too much (it was used as a highlighter, in certain places, not all over). I love how it looks. Though that's with their skilled hands. I will have to practice!

Oh, I would love to know your tips for getting the bronzer to look fabulous!

I don't know that it's a great tip for anyone but me, because I've never worn bronzer, but she told me to use the pinkish and beige stripes (above the 'Chanel') for blush, and sweep over the cheeks. The she swept her brush over the entire palette and did the rest of my cheeks and wherever the sun hits (forehead, chin, nose, hairline). Then I believe she swept over the 'Chanel' line as a teeny highlighter, because she just fluffed it over my cheeks.

 

Pretty effective! Sorry if it's not helpful, or I don't explain right... Like I said, I've never worn it, so it was all good info for me!
 

^^ Thanks for the description! I'm going to try that and I have more or less decided I'm getting Sable Rose and not Beige. What is the luminising liquid? Is it part of this collection?

 

Holiday looks perfect on the toes, and the name is perfect! I don't own a single Le Crayon Yeux, maybe I can get this to try. Do they smudge or stay put?

It's chipping on me after 3-4 days, but I'm pretty harsh on my nails (typing, doing dishes, etc.). So nothing lasts that long anyways. Or, I'm kinda scared to think what kind of products would last that long on my nails haha. I like Island and Delight... don't know if Holiday can actually tempt me into wearing bright colors :P.

Thanks! Sable beige looks very pretty on her. Subtle and refined somehow. I don't think it will show up at all on me though. :P

I want Sable Rose too! I think that's a missing color on my stash. Fingers crossed it would also look nicely on my skin :). 

I'm kinda glad this collection comes end of May here. So I have time to save up :D.

 

hanabipi -   . Hope you enjoy being here :). I read contradictory descriptions on the websites, but I believe the Sable beige is for the lighter skin, and Sable Rose is for darker skin... only we never know what was the definition of "darker" sometimes it's so vague :/

Calypso looks really pretty and nicely pigmented. I have banned myself from buying any more glossimers that essentially look clear on my pigmented lips. Your trip sounds so fun elegant! My Nordstrom says they will have this collection next week.

Yay! New collection will be available here in stores in second week of May. Can't wait!

I've just received an information from local Chanel distributor, that the new Joues Contraste in Tumulte and Malice are available only in Asian market at this moment... I suppose they are thinking about Fleur de Lotus blush. As far as I know, Malice and Tumulte blushes are available in US...

It looks like a Chanel spree is on the horizon for me because I am just loving the looks of this Collection. For those that have purchased the Bronzer, is it a must have?
 

 

 

Mrs Bombshell I feel like I am always either preparing for or getting over a Chanel spree!  I am going to my Nordstrom's trend show this Saturday and hoping that the collection will be available.  I will be sure to report back if it is, and I will post plenty of pics.  I'm also eager to hear more about/see the bronzers.

Somehow I feel like I am missing something, the collection has me not excited at all. The purple in the bronzer is gone, the rest is too warm. The only thing I am interested in are the nail polishes, I cannot say no to a Chanel polish *sigh*
Fall will make it up to me, right?

MissQQ, since you seem to like the same colors I do, what are you getting?

Hi ladies, just saw the collection at Bloomingdales, they had a nice gift as well. So I just had to buy some goodies! I bought all 3 of the polishes, I can't resist, I just reapply top coat during the week after my manicure and that prolongs the chipping issue. The most unusual of the 3 is Island, it's almost like the inside of an oyster shell with a peachy/ pink tinge.

The shadow duo is gorgeous (sable/emouvant), super pigmented and very different than Taupe/Delicat. Here's a swatch. Top to bottom,  taupe/delicat, sable/emouvant

 

I also got Calypso Glossimer, it's nicely pigmented, lot's of sparkles! The other glossimer, Sirocco?, goes on clear, did not need that.

Both RC also made it in, En Vogue is really pretty and has decent color payoff, not sure about Empreinte, it's quite a natural beige.

The big question were the bronzers, I ended up with both, but I need to play with them. I thought the sable rose would be better for my NC15 skin tone, but I'm thinking that Sable beige might work better, it seemed lighter on my hand in the store. We'll see when I try them at home. I can always return one if it doesn't work for me.

That's it! It was crazy in the makeup dept. Lancome had a good giveaway too!
