Chanel Bombay Express Collection June 2012 - Page 3

^^ LOL! Last year! Were they thinking about the Byzatine collection..

oh Macy's is like the worst store.

I feel there are the most pushy SAs and the least knowledgeable and stylish. I avoid Macy's at all costs.

Ironically it seems Macys is the first to get Chanel collections in my area!

Congrats on the new jobs QoS and Kate!  I hope you really enjoy them!!

According to Makeup4all the collection will be available in the UK on 27th June exclusively in Chanel boutiques, Harrods, Selfridges W1, Selfridges

Manchester Exchange, House of Fraser Glasgow and Fenwick Newcastle. I think I'll be ordering from Harrods, their customer service is great.

Another highlighter that is $80....  Must be a skip for me as well.

Does anyone have thoughts on the JC?  I don't have it and am wondering if I need it.

I am also considering the JC. I wish we could see real swatches.

^^^I have been searching the web for reviews of the JC.  What I have seen hasn't been very helpful.  I will keep looking though.

saw and swatched the Brume d Or.. meh.. looked a bit like Fandango but golden.. not for my skin tho.

^^^ Thank you both for the information.  After looking at the pics, I think that the JC is also going to be a skip for me.  It will look rather muddy on me.

Pass for me too. I got the email introducing the collection. I thought the black illusion d'ombre is matte, but it turns out to be Mirifique.

Weird. I was sure it was matte solid black as well- Nirvana. They even have it listed on the Chanel web site! This one had interested me, because I want a really intense, matte black.

Thanks! They could have made a mistake in the email then. I didn't click on the email to visit the Chanel website.
I was actually thinking there would be a matte Illusion D'Om...But guess they changed their mind!

I read they had manufacturing problems with it but have no idea how true that is.

Chanel has had mfg problems quite often.. I think we all recall the delays with the Matte ls  last year.hatsoff.gif

I'm hoping this results in them including it in a later launch- one that will be easier to get here!

Yeah, Brume D'Or is a total skip for me......I wish they'd bring back some of the classic ones like Caprice.....or Rose Mirage.....I have some oldies but goodies and it would be great to see them again!!

Apparently according to Chanel CS Nirvana was a runway exclusive and will not be made available to the public. It was a decision made by corporate. Somehow I hope that it's not true. I REALLY wanted it.

That sounds fishy. It was in all their PR materials and like I said, it was on the Canadian web site. Sounds like a cover story for something nefarious...
