I surprised myself and did buy the Powder to the People, even though I still think it was a stupid idea from MAC.  Blended together, it worked as an orangey/browny blush.  Separately, as eyeshadows, the colors were so so.  I enjoyed the blue, but it stains my lids, even with a primer!

I did get 3 of the casual creme blush/lip colors.  I really like these products!!!!

So my co-blogger swatched Powder to the People today - the swatch furthest to the right is here swirled together. A horrible muddy blue:

Temptalia gets a dark brownish matte blush http://www.temptalia.com/mac-beth-ditto-powder-to-the-people-powder-review-photos-swatches
Musings get no colour at all: http://www.google.dk/search?q=mac+powder+to+the+people+swatch&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=da&client=safari
Karen gets a dusty light peachy thing: http://m.makeupandbeautyblog.com/product-reviews/polka-dots-robots-and-mac-beth-ditto-powder-to-the-people/
I just tried mine on: Completely transparent and sparklish. A highlighter definitely, but like the worst ever. But still a sparkly highlighter.
WTF???!

mine is a perfect sculpting powder very similar to strada/sculpt. I think the difference in color i how they swirl it. If with finger (it will be grey like your blogger), if with larger brush and well blended (a subtle brown), if the brush is smaller (more peachy because you hardly reach the blue and dark brown)

None! It's very sheer. I thought it would be similar in color to MW2 Annemeik, but it's much more sheer.

MW2 Annemeik on the left, LLD on the right.

You can see my veins right through LLD!

Pondering DD, but I think I'll still wait for CYY. I have Bobbi Brown's Neon Pink and comparing swatches they look a little similar with the sheen and all.

This is a huge pet peeve for me.  End rant.  rant.gif

I blame the goofy bishes on Jerseylishous, they are always going on and on about the smokey eye, and they don't do a smokey eye!  I am sick of the term myself, much more when it is so ubiquitously misapplied...I enjoyed your rant LOL

Me too.  I got LLD and it looks fabulous, haven't worn it IRL yet, but gorgeous in the tube. DD looks so pretty in swatches, yet I ask myself, must I have yet another pinkish fuchsia lippy?  Decisions, Decisions...

I tried on the blue mascara at the store.  It looked cool, so I bought it.  Then I got to work and realized that the only reason that it looked vibrant was because I was in front of a lit mirror.  Yeah...that doesn't happen in my real life.  I'm gonna return it since it's still unopened.

I remember having some crazy mascara colours from YSL, Guerlain, ect back in the 80's - neon pink, gold, green with gold shimmer. Guerlain's red plum was my favorite. I already had some early colour desease symptoms back then, I had to get every mascara colour I could. The coloured mascaras of today really don't compare. Plum Deserve did not get much love from me last year.

I still have my old mascaras somewhere since I wanted to keep them to just look at the colours later, but I don't remember where!

ah the 80's colored mascara! i had a bright red one from some small co. that was so incredible - i still miss it. also in the 90's, there was this sort of rave-esque brand that made a hot pink with a purple opalescent sheen - that one didn't show up that well, but it sure was awesome looking if you got it to work.

I did love last year's Wonder Woman colored Opulashes - they showed their color really well on my black lashes and people would comment on them all the time (actually, men would comment even more than women, so I figure they really must have showed their color, because let's face it- most guys would never notice makeup at all in the first place!) I like the Opulash formula and brush a lot, just in general, so I backed those babies up!

I'm not a big ZoomLash fan, but I also loved that grey one from last year - it makes green eyes look beautiful. I did get the purple and plum ones from this collection, although i'm going to wait to break into them until closer to the end of summer. I think when it comes to colored mascara, we have expectations of seeing the color very clearly on our own faces, but the color is usually more obvious to other people than it ever is to us - so that's the paradox. It's like when you think a pair of jeans makes your ass look fat, when meanwhile every guy is salivating like a hound......fluffy.gif

My fave 80s mascara was gold! Gold lips, gold lashes, gold dust for the cheeks...black and neon on the body. th_roll1.gif

I also wore a bright royal blue mascara a lot. I also had a purple one, but it wasn't as striking.

Oh wow MRV! I was too young & poor to have even tried these mascaras, but they sound AMAZING! When I was a preteen and teen I used to love the baby blue, bright purple and I even tried a forest green mascara. It was amazing color payoff, never bothered my sensitive eyes and the price was reasonable. I think it used to be Maybelline that had them. I never tried pink, but my best friend at the time did and she rocked it out. I wish these companies would re-do these colored mascaras with great color payoff. I would LOVE to try a gold, red plum or even neon pink. MAC had a beautiful periwinkle mascara years ago (it was actually more baby bright blue, but they called it periwinkle) and I loved it. I wish they would repromote it.

Oh yes.  I love the YSL mascara when I have the funds to indulge.  They have the best colors and you can actually see them on the lashes.  I wish Dior would come out with more, they had a green one called Algae LOL which was my favorite green EVER.  I hoarded that tube until it was mummy dust.

I love making my own colored mascaras with mascara mixing medium and pigments.

I ended up in a mac store today and bought you're perfect already. I almost got the powder too, but trying to hold off a little longer...i like the softness of the powder, but I was a little worried it might end up ashy on me when swirled. I guess when I go in to buy I can try it on first...they seemed excessively busy today, and I kinda knew I wouldn't be purchasing it.

I also liked how smoothly the shad/shadow duos swatched on my hand, but I'm reluctant since my experience w shadesticks. It's definitely a less sticky formula though...more gel-like...

The other thing that caught my eye was to catch a sailor, but it's frosty, so that plus the lightness of the colous made me a little wary. Have we seen any WOC pics w to catch a sailor on lips? I guess I should ask that question in the other thread...

It's great as it is a water resistant formula (not waterproof though!).

I was soooo happy with DD because it turned out slightly different to Pink Pigeon so to me that became a great reason to invest in this lipstick. I was really happy with the formula of the Pro long wear because this was the first one that I had brought, I swatched away last night for my blog and have put my swatches in the product swatch page.

I ended up grabbing a backup of Embrace Me because it goes with so many of my lipsticks and I grabbed nightmoth as well even though it is perm. That is why I like perm items being repromoted with collections because it brings to my attention items that I forget about.

I also grabbed the Liquidlast liner and WOW! its perfection! Am really happy with that as well and it has become my go to liner... strong matte black line and it has replaced my Stila pen

Here is DD with Embrace Me Lip Liner.
