MrsB....I am so sorry to hear that and I cross my fingers that you will get your blushes from Selfridges very soon!!!
 

 

IMO, it's more important to coordinate the contour color with the highlight to get the best (natural!) effect that emphasizes bone structure. However, when I don't contour, I try to keep blush and highlight in the same color family.

I was the first customer at my MAC counter this morning and Full of Joy was sold out. I had one put aside but wasn't sure so I tried it on first. It is really beautiful and quite purple on me. So happy I got one.

 

 

OTT, but I have to comment your username. How did you end up with that? If you did add letters KI to the end of the username, it would be a Finnish word meaning white cap in other words the graduation cap. :)
 

 

o.k. i have some good news to those who could not get the blushes. I decided to get a BU of MM and because it was sold out on mac i went and ordered from nordies. However nordies gave me a backorder of 4/17 guess what! i recieve an email today saying it was shipped however did not get a tracking number. so i do not know what happened but hopefully i will get it.

I did the same thing and also got an email today with no tracking information, I think what happened is that they are shipping the free sample bag that was automatically added to orders separately since its not something that is always offered, they have done this in the past.
 

 

 

This means we need to put our professional specktra stalkers on a mission to see if MAC does a restock on their main site on 4/17. 

 

That's great news Rockin. It's completely ridiculous that there should be such a mistake and that customers should have to bring it to their attention though!

Hopefully your goodies will arrive on Tuesday.

Well *touches wood* I've just had my dispatch emailf for all four blushes, and Modern Mandarin will be coming from mac (I ordered that separately yesterday and got a dispatch email today so that seems unaffected by MAC's technical hitches). My order from selfridges should be here Saturday - the postage was killer but worth it to have my goodies safe in my hands

My wallet is currently crying

I hauled 6 of the blushes in CAD prices (24$ a piece)! Goodbye MAC, see you when you launch Marilyn Monroe.

I got all of the TC blushes except Pink Tea and Pink Cult. Team 6!!

They had one more MM after mine (I had set mine aside but was also the first one into the shop at 10 am sharp) and a small number of the others e.g. Full of Joy. They had so many pink cults and magentas though!!!

I blame all of you for your enabling activities. I wanted to skip Peony Petal and Lovecloud but the damn textures drew me in (and the price of the NARS and Tarte dupes at 32/33$ each...)....

That's really good to know. I'm going to use my mac refund for the blushes (when it arrives finally...oh the drama!) to order 'Sculpt' and maybe Harmony. Do you ever use matte bronzers for contour?

I do get the sample bags but never without the products I order.hhm. I guess i will wait and see. I hope they are good sample though if they are willing to sent it for free.

I totally didn't need to call my counter like a crazy person this am to hold all my items as nothing was sold out when I got there at 1pm, but better safe than sorry!

Also made some purchases from Reel Sexy & Extra Dimension - thank goodness no other MAC collections really interest me for a while, my wallet needs to recover!

I ended up with IF which is crazy as I was sure I wouldn't like it but my gut told me to test it out and it is GORGE and shows up well on me! I got the last one at my Nordies around noon.

I got the same e-mail this morning! No tracking number either, the invoice included in the e-mail just says "in process"


So far, my account hasn't been charged for my in-store Nordstrom pre-order. I'm going to check on it later or maybe they will call me. The last time I did a large pre-order (Glitter & Ice) they charged my account the night before the launch....I hope I'm still getting my items! I have Pink Popcorn, FoJ and LC on that order!

IF is sold out on the canadian mac site, first to go.

so i just hauled IF from my counter....and WOW....this color is AMAZING...i was sooo scared it wouldnt show up on my - since im tan - but was i wrong....its just delish...im SO happy with this color..is it too early for me to say this might become a holy grail blush...im wearing it now...doing absolutely nothing but lounging in my pjs with a full face of makeup on - and loving every second of it

Sooo upsetting !! Get to my counter and MM was still there to swatch, but then my mua goes to pull from the drawer and there were none to be found, she said they got 3 of each shade and even went digging to find one so sad! Of course its gone everywhere, gonna have to pray for a restock or someone willing to swap!

Did pick up pink cult though! Its like if Coygirl and tarte exposed had a baby

MAC store in town are keeping hold of Immortal Flower, LoveCloud and Peony Petal till saturday night if i can't get to the store tomorrow with it being good friday and with me working. Sooo excited for these, can see the three of them working quite nice with my NC15 skin.

Eep! I'm so sorry that so many people are having issues/ "are in the air" about so many of their orders! I kind of felt the same way this morning about my pre-order at my local Nordstrom's @_@ I think it's pre-full-moon angst! Something in the air!

 

I didn't get a call letting me know that my item was ready (which I was assured I would get...)- so I go into the store to pick it up, only to realize that they didn't even ring me up for it, let alone put it aside for me! I was lucky that they still had enough of all the colors for me to get my Peony Petal! While I was waiting for them to "locate" my preorder, another girl came by to pick up her preorder only to realize it had been misplaced and they were checking their stock room for a long time for it. 

 

I'm just glad that I got my color-- I can't wait to play with it tomorrow!

 

Also while there, I swatched Pink Tea which I had wanted at first... glad I didn't get it, though, because it didn't show up on me (NC-20) at all!

Got 4 of the blushes with IF coming tomorrow from Nordies. These blushes are beautiful & the texture amazing.

 

Pink Tea looks more pink on than in the pan as others have said. Love it on!

It does deserve its name. It's amazing on NW15-20!

I hope you like FoJ!  I'm still very much lemming it.  The MUA at the store today paired up FoJ with Glorify EDSF on me and it looks amazing!  I love the colour contrast.

Just officially became team seven (including pink cult) !!! My nordies counter wasn't sold out of anything yet!! Even at this hour! I don't have anything like pink tea and peony petal is different enough from gaiety to own, so I grabbed those two. Already depotted five blushes successfully, will post pictures of my blush palettes when I get home. They look so pretty in a palette it's worth it to depot. They aren't too powdery so they aren't going to crumble easily. The hardest part was popping the top part out! I thought I was going to break them or jab them trying to separate them!

Thank god I didn't want much from reel sexy, and I didn't want anything from extra dimension, and maybe just a few things from hey sailor
