NARS Fall 2012 - Page 6

I saw T's review of the trio and thought it looked very pretty! The duo also looks very pretty in the reviews I read so far. When I first saw the products pictures, there wasn't anything I want but they look very pretty on, including the lippies.
T's review of Outlaw has scared me! I was soooo excitd about that blush as it looks pretty unique. Other than I'm no longer caring for the duo. But I know for sure I want Autumn Leaves l/s. Nars sheer lipsticks are awesome formula and that is just a beautil shade.

I ordered as soon as I got the email on the 12th. It hasn't moved from the original FedEx location since the 12th. Ugh. Tomorrow is a week. I go on vacation next week. Hate smartpost.

^Mine also hasn't moved either! I'm starting to get impatient now! I do hope that it arrives by the end of this week.

Please dont let Temptalia's rating affect you. Blush is beautiful! I didnt notice diffirence in texture between Outlaw and Deep throat for example. Yes, it is not as soft and powdery as Amore for example, but trust me you will love the fact that you dont have to be super extra careful application of blush, it is pigmented Raspberry red and it is so easy to overdo if it would be usual Nars texture.

I agree. Temptalia provides a point of view on a product, not an absolute truth. And since she holds everything to impossibly high standards, she necessarily sees "flaws" that some would not even notice or care about. So if you can, give it a try in person and see if it's great for you. :)

I just found some swatches for eyeliner stylos!

Thanks ladies. I'm definitely going to wait and give this one a try in person. I find with all reviews on any site, there is always an element of our own preferences and expectations that colour our response to a product. There are certain web sites I read a bit more closely, because I find that the reviewer and I have similar opinions on what we like about certain products, but ultimately, it always helps to see the product in person when you can.

No problem! ;)

I agree about everything you said. But I feel that she too often focuses on the negative instead of highlighting the positive.

Anyway I can imagine Outlaw looking wonderful on you. :)

You've got a sample of the aqua gel luminous oil-free moisturizer! I'm super interested in that one. If you try it, please let me know what you think about it. :)

Can you give a list of what the samples are, please? They might be all part of the new skincare line.

Sure here is the list:

GENTLE CREAM CLEANSER

PURIFY FOAM CLEANSER

DOUBLE REFINING EXFLOIATOR

LUMIMOUS MOISTURE CREAM

AQUA GEL LUMINOUS MOISTURIZER

OPTIMAL BRIGHTENING SERUM

I am very excited i have never tried their skincare. As soon as i try it i will let you know

Thanks! I'm pretty sure most of those are new products. I'm glad to see they finally added an exfoliator to their line.

After a little googling, I found this:

400

Luminous Moisture Cream, Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturizer, Total Replenishing Eye Cream, Aqua Gel Luminous Mask and Optimal Brightening Concentrate from the NarsSkin collection

400

Found in every NarsSkin product is a unique Light Reflecting Complex using pure ingredients that work in synergy to transform the skin and boost its translucency. Light-Active Micro-Prisms are combined with algae extract and Polynesian seawater to boost clarity and infuse skin with moisture and minerals. Combined with anti-aging, cellular metabolism-boosting ingredients and potent antioxidants, skin is revived and luminous.

I saw this collection in Nordstrom yesterday but didn't have time to swatch. It is gorgeous. My "wishlist":

Autumn Leaves l/s

Tribalist l/g

Undress Me Multiple

Outlaw blush

I really don't think the multiple looks anything like it's sister in Copacabana.

mariemary i am also most excited about exfoliator! i will try it soon and let you know how i like it in skincare thread

awesome! Can't wait to hear your thoughts. My experience with Nars skincare is limited though I used to use their mud mask (which I liked but didn't love). I also like his primer, I had a sample which I ran out of. I loved it and need to re-purchase

oh that's terrible! but at least nars has great customer service

Got Outlaw today!! I am very happy!!!

Re Skincare- I've tried a few of their products and they are really nice, but generally very, very expensive- way more than I would think based on the prices of their cosmetics. I tried their gel face mask and it is wonderful- moisturising and refreshing!!

since shiseido makes them price does not suprise me at all

I went to Nordstrom to check out/buy some fall Nars items and couldn't find anything. They did have the blush palette though. I went at 8:00 when the store opened and they were doing renovations so about 5 lines were sharing counter space and everything was smushed together. The SA helping me didn't know the line. I suspect it was there but she didn't know where. I was fine with it as I bought quite a bit and have a lot to play with as it is. I would have liked to have played with the products though. I'm still interested in Autumn Leaves lipstick, Outlaw blush as I used to own this once upon a time, more lip stick pencil, and maybe Storm if I can't find a polish dupe in my collection.

Oh boy... I hauled. Ironically, I didn't end up getting Rouge Tribal, although I may go back for it. Something about that teeny tiny applicator just doesn't work for me. I'll have a full review up on my blog over the weekend, but I bought:

High Society

Vent Glace

Autumn Leaves

Outlaw

I had no problem at all with the pigmentation and texture of Outlaw. The colour payoff wasn't immediately as bright as it looks in the pan, but that's a good thing- it lets you build the shade up. My MUA applied it to me using that wonderful Yachiyo (sp?) brush and even with one and a half passes, had to blend it out a little because it was a bit too bold on my somewhat tanned but still fair skin.

Here are a couple of pictures of me wearing practically everything (Vent Glace and High Society on eyes, Undress me and Outlaw on cheeks, Autumn Leaves on lips)

Beautiful pic.  Loving Autumn Leaves on you.  I must get this color.

You look very elegant, katred!  heart.gif

I saw the collection today. I thought Outlaw looked stunning! Katred, is Outlaw easy to wear? It's not too dark? I'm wondering if I can pull it off. Does anyone know if it's permanent? TIA!  amuse.gif

Thanks. Autumn Leaves is really a must-have, I think, unless you're *very* cool-toned (even then, it's worth trying on to see how it looks). I have been focused on getting only colours that I don't already have in my collection in order to slow my lipstick-buying habit, but this one really stands out. It's truly a rich rust colour, but the sheerness of it makes it work on a lot of different skin tones.

Thank you! It is bright, but it can be applied lightly or with a soft, fluffy brush and it would be fine for even very light complexions. According to my MUA, it is becoming part of the permanent line. I believe only the trio and the nail polish are limited.

Outlaw is really buildable
