Thanks, Marie! It's very helpful.:) Red square looks prettier, but I think Heat wave is more wearable!

 

I'm curious about silver smoke color from the duo. It looks like bright khakish-gold on the pic which is different from silver smoke.lol

Thanks for the descriptions!  There is no way I'm not getting: 

 

Rouge Tribal Larger Than Life Lip Gloss ($26) – metallic burgundy

 

I'm positive I probably will have similar glosses but I'm not passing a metallic burgundy.  Nope - not gonna do it!

Here is the make-up breakdown for the Fall collection.

Designed by founder and Creative Director François Nars, the Fall 2012 Color Collection features a blend of bold, modern shades and celestial shimmers. For the campaign, Nars chose to photograph iconic ‘90s supermodel Kristen McMenamy. Having worked with Kristen in the past and for his first book, “X-Ray,” he felt that her beautiful, often otherworldly look completely epitomized the fall collection.

 

To achieve the makeup look featured in the campaign image, Kristen’s skin was perfected with Siberia Sheer Matte Foundation and set with Snow Loose Powder to create an immaculate complexion. Next, the Undress Me Multiple was applied to the hollows of the cheeks and blended toward the temples with fingertips.

 

Kristen’s top and bottom lashes were thickly lined in Black Moon Eyeliner Pencil. Next, the entire lid was colored in with the pencil in a half moon shape, from the lash line to the base of the brow bone and out towards the temple. The pencil color was then blended with a fingertip to create a smooth base. Next, the iridescent amethyst shade of High Society Trio Eyeshadow was applied to the lid and the color extended to the brow bone and towards the outer corner of the brow. The edge of this shade was blended into the lavender shade of High Society Trio Eyeshadow, then both sides of Vent Glacé Duo Eyeshadow were combined and applied to the lower lash line atop Black Moon. The eyes were lined with Via Veneto Larger Than Life® Long-Wear Eyeliner and finished with two coats of Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara.

 

Kristen’s lips were lined and filled in with cinnamon Papua Lip Liner Pencil, blended for a softer effect, and topped with Belize Lip Gloss.

 

Storm Bird Nail Polish on nails completed the look.

Nars can do no wrong to me...I've been smitten with them for years and no brand can ever do better i say :P

 

If this collection is released sometimes in August in Canada it'll be great for me. I'm due late August so I treat myself to some Nars pre-baby :D For the last 6 months I've bought only things for baby and nothing for myself.....So far I'm loving:

 

- Autumn Leaves l/s OMG this looks like the perfect fall shade and very unique

- Vent Glace duo - looks like a must have to me and I love Nars duos

- High Society trio - I have similar shades so this one I should swatch first

- High Society Multiple - the multiple addict in me has to have this!

I LOVE Heat Wave...the two are similar but Heat Wave is redder and has better colour payoff IMO. If you're gonna get one get Heat Wave...it's my staple red lipstick every summer :)

By the way, according to NARS FB, they said the fall collection will be available on the 13th!

Is anybody planning to get Undressed me multiple?

I'm not sure whether I have to buy it because I don't use multiples often (I don't know why). :S

But the problem is the color sounds/looks really gorgeous!!!

Do you mind me asking why is this the case? Is it because you already have a lot of makeup, or maybe it's because you've already seen something similar before? I know I'm getting Oasis for my NARS blush collection and I'm thinking about getting Autumn Leaves lipstick. I only have one NARS lipstick in Afghan Red.

I am in the same boat. Undressed is the first multiple I like the colour of, so the first time I am tempted. Do you already have some?

I already have Copacabana and Luxor.

According to NARS FB, it said Undress me is similar to Luxor but it has a much heavier grain of glitter.

Hmm..if it's similar to Luxor and has much glitter, I think I should pass.

Great. After we were discussing this, I went to one of my Nars counters and swatched Copacabana and Luxor on my arm. Now I want both. So instead of having one product from the Fall launch that I wasn't sure if I wanted, now I have two products from the permanent line that I'm sure I do want.

Lol don't you love that...Oh great I don't need to get that now because there is a dupe for it....oohhh I really like this too...hmm....maybe I will get some of the stuff from the perm line *shoots self*

I have that with lipliners at the moment. I need some badly and I keep on pushing it back for the new stuff!

Katred, I think you will love both of these. I have both and use them often. They are so versatile and gorgeous on pale skin.

Wow! Thanks so much. I was pretty sure I wanted this one anyway, but the description and photos makes it certain. I like the fact that she says the shimmer is a little more subtle. I think this will make a lovely, subtle, sophisticated combination.

Thank you for that! :) It does look interesting. The frostiness and not-über-pigmentation makes it a nice duo to layer over a dark base, just like in the promo picture. :) It looks like it's a difficult duo to photograph too.

Everything looks beautiful- possibly even nicer than I'd expected. It's funny, because I often find that things look more sheer when Karen swatches them than it does on me (possibly because we're very different skin tones- fair vs. medium, cool vs. warm), but the pigmentation on all the shadows looks very good. This basically reinforces my idea of what I wanted and makes me consider other things as well...

Oh dear, I think my lemmings really grow with this one. All of the lipsticks look lovely. I think I really want Outlaw blush because I just don't have a warm pink blush. Hopefully this one would work on me. The nail polish is also gorgeous...

 

I'm skipping the e/s for now because I want Armani's ETK... and I don't like the texture of the multiples. At least money saved on those two :D

Based on Karen's swatches, Undress me looks like baby pink rather than nude pink/ similar version of Luxor.

She has a dark skintone, so I guess that's why it looks like it. I'm really curious how it's different from Luxor.:)

Oh, the collection will be available Monday? I'm absolutely getting Outlaw, too, and maybe Autumn Leaves lipstick. But I'm waiting to use my credit card points so I can get them for $0. I have 13 NARS blushes that I love, and I only came out of pocket for 5 of them.
