Lipsticks definitely go bad; every Clinique GWP I've ever gotten has. They end up smelling like crayons and then I chuck them out. I recently threw all but A Different Grape out because I never wear them.
I replaced my last VG1 because it had to have been five years old. It still seemed fine but I thought it was time to get a new one. I only wear it a few times a year so never finish a tube. I've had 4 or 5 since the initial launch.
I have about 20-25 lippies on the go (just ordered NARS Moscow). I need to slow way down because I'll never get through them all. Lippies have traditionally been my weakness until I succumbed to the highly contagious Blush Plague 2012.
That's interesting. I've never had a lipstick go bad, only gloss. I wonder if some go bad faster because of the ingredients used? I searched for it, and I found an old Specktra thread with some good advice: http://www.specktra.net/t/171533/how-long-can-eyeshadow-blush-lipstick-foundation-etc-last I think I'll base it on texture. I've only recently slowed down on opening gloss so they don't go bad so fast. I had to B2M 6 glosses and it was painful.

On a positive note, I'm down to about a third of Double Dare, Star Quality and Strictly Plutonic since I've worn them to death on vacation this month. My goal is to finish all three by September. I have two less than a year old l/g that are already getting funky so I no longer want to own many of these.
Yeah, they CAN go bad. I've had a few MAC lippies that turn a different scent. Not many but a few. Maybe 3 or so. When the vanilla scent is gone, I consider it bad. I keep them for BACK-TO-MAC.

Yeah I moisturize and PnP. And it still gets wierd after a while. I even put on my jack black lip balm over it for touchups. It still puts this weird dry line where the color stops towards the inside of my lips. After I get my Rocker I'll own 5 mattes though lol I might have to wipe it off and do it all over again throughout the day. It's annoying to have to maintain, but I just love the way they look!
yes i have same problem

Ya my Lustering is starting to taste funny. It's old tho.
Oh, and I caught the blush plague too lol. I used to think that you didn't need that many. Heh, lol. Now I pick my blush based on what lippie I plan on wearing. Lol!!!
I hope she's ok. I'm glad she was at least able to get Moxie and Rocker. I hope things get better for her soon.
Yes!! A few of them definitely showed up on my lips but the camera didn't catch all that awesomeness!
Thank you!
I gotta say, I really like it! I'm already getting outfit ideas to go with it
So, I bought two CYY's but after swatching it, I think I might sell the other one. Got caught up in the hype. lol Realistically, I know I will probably never use all of any one lipstick. In fact I just ordered the Barry M shocking pink from seeing it mentioned on this thread. "My name is Alexia, and I'm a pink lippie addict" Hell anything pink I'm drawn to. lol
In other news, I also got Moxie and I actually like it better than CYY, go figure.

Ah, good to know she at least got those two! I PM'd her on Sunday night and never heard back, so I wasn't sure if she was able to log in on time.
Gorgeous! That's exactly how Rocker looks on me too. Hands down, Rocker and Cyy are my favorites in this collection, i'm surprised Rocker still hasn't sold out.
You guys I just checked my UPS status on my order for "Moxie," which was supposed to be delivered today...
OMG I'm so upset there has been an "Accident in transport" ... WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?? Am I screwed out of moxie????
My Rocker order of course is ready to be delivered today... Of course..
This is the message for MOXIE I got:

I know! Walked outside to go to work and I was like, "WTF is this cold wind doing here in August?" Hopefully, the heat will return soon because this 68 degree foolishness in Chicago is not working for my "summer baby" behind. LOL

That happens all the time especially when I do overnight shipping. Always some plane issue blah blah blah. Usually it shows at like 9am that it is out for delivery. Maybe wait until it's updated again, then call if nothing changes.
I'll trade you. Seriously. I live in SoCal and we are experiencing a heat wave. My property management refuses to fix the central air in the house I live in. We've tried in the past and they just mess with it and it freezes up constantly. We basically live w/o ac through the summer. I stay at home with my daughter so am uncomfortable most of the day unless we venture out. It really sux. My lippies even hate it and get sweaty. I have found out tho that my satins hate it the most.

This sux. Knock on wood I've never seen that message. I hope it's just a delay and they figure it out shortly.
