If you missed "Moxie" try Dior Lipstick in "Star Fuchsia (766) " ... The finish is a gloss sheen, but it is dead on color wise ...

 

Lancome's "Posh Pink" matte lipstick is slightly more red-pink , but is also a good dupe...

I think eyeshadows just tend to stick around longer in general. People don't buy as many backups or place multiple orders or buy an obscene amount to sell on eBay. Not to say non-lipsticks aren't on eBay, but there's probably a small fraction of scalped shadows per dozen or so lipsticks that wind up on there.

Ok, finally done with review and swatches. Here is the most important swatch picture I think (Don't want to overtake the thread with a huge picture post, haha) I picked this one vs a non flash one because I think with flash really shows how this Moth Brown does have a sort of purple-y tone to it. At least to my eye it does, what do you all think? My arm is a bit lighter than NC15 at the moment!

 

 

I wrote out a description of the other colors, because I know some people haven't seen these, and sometimes people's browsers distort colors

 

MAC Smoke and Diamonds: A silvery, smokey dark grey warmish taupe
Too Faced Lap Dance: A beautiful lighter taupe greyish/purple, that flashes purple like Moth Brown, but is substantially lighter in shade.
Too Faced Unmentionables: A darker grey shade that leans a little taupe.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Delicate Hummingbird: A medium cool toned purple taupe. Has a silvery frost like Moth Brown
Le Metier De Beaute in Corinthian: A very warm, brown taupe that leans burgundy/purple. Really hard to describe this shade! It's sort of similar to Satin Taupe actually.
The Balm The Mistress: True Gunmetal Grey color.  <--- I mainly included this one to show off the purple in Moth Brown

 

ETA: I must say it is also very similar in color to Chanel Illusoire Illusoire D'Ombre, the shade underneath the layer of silver sparkles.

I love my lip tars! I have about 7 of them. It's easy to apply too much straight out of the tube, so using a brush is the way to go. A little goes a looooooong way.

They can probably be used similar to MAC's lip mixes, which are available at Pro stores, but are less expensive. I can't yet attest to a quality or performance comparison between the two as I have not even used my lip mix.

I did the Patina/MB combo again today so I took a picture. It's Patina on the lid, MB in the crease and outer V and UD Polyester Bride to highlight.

No I just used it straight from the tube. I'm sure NYX would def. have something they have so many lip liners in every color!

Jete and Moth Brown on NC35ish skin (no primer). Natural lighting. I LOVE THEM!!! Going to try out some looks now. Need to figure out whether or not BUs are necessary...

 

 

I got my Jete, MB and FoF as soon as I got home. They are all perfect and soooo pretty.

wow i haven't been on for like two weeks but i do just want to drop in and say that i got Rocker l/s in the wee hours of the morning while i was on vacation in vegas (thank god for iphones :-) and i just love it!

Oops. I thought I was getting my Styleseeker order today, but it was my By Request shadows instead. Too many black boxes are coming. I'm getting them mixed up. I like all 3 colors. Moth Brown is a purple gray on me, so I'm happy. I think my favorite is Guacamole. That may be because I'm more drawn to green eyeshadow, followed by purple, orange and pink. I would describe Guacamole as an icy green color. I'm wondering if I should get a BU.

 

I waited too long to order my Inglot shadows and missed the 20% discount. Now I'm waiting for the next code before I place my order.

you might want to wait until you can go to the store in person or call in an order. I made an order on the 12th  and a second one on the 16th and still havent recieved a shipping notification for either one. I have emailed them twice and no response.

I haven't placed an online order with them since last Black Friday, but I can't recall receiving a shipping notification.  I had to go to their website and check my order status to get the information.

I check the site everyday and it just says "authorized". I'm hoping it just shows up soon and Im stressing about nothing.

 Aw! I do hope they will have another sale soon so you don't miss out.

 I placed an order with Inglot yesterday and they gave me a unique code to use one time to get 30% off because the code BIRTHDAY didn't work at all and I e-mailed them the issue about it and they said it was a system glitch. I have ordered a 5 Eyeshadow Palette with 5 eyeshadows.

I really dont understand why Inglot is ignoring some emails and not others. Its very frusterating. I ordered two 10 eyshadow palettes and 20 eye shadows. 1 palette the first time and 11 shadows and then the second order a palette and 9 shadows. I had a problem with an order from nordstrom and I called to let them know I had an item missing from an order they said it had to be shipped from a store so it was going to take longer. It still hasnt showed up and I called the first time  a week and half ago. I called them today to let them know I still havent recieved it and the girl resent it to me and sent two day shipping for free. I wish all online retailers had good customer service.

 I have heard that some people didn't get a response from Inglot at all! It is very frustrating. I do hope everyone does get a response from them soon.

sooo late but here is cyy on me. I like it. very bright.  need to super duper exfoliate my dry, iron-deficient lips to wear it. I like it over nyx purple rain liner also.  adds that neon/bright awesomeness but more purple. I actually wore it to work and got compliments :)  I would have never even tried it at work if not for y'all.  both cyy and moxie are super bright!  I'm holding moth brown and jete but the the colors are washed out by the flash.  I don't know how I feel about either color yet.  Look nice in the pan but.... we'll see.  So far I'm happy with my by request haul.

 

 

 

I like it on you califabulous! I used NYX's Purple Rain with mine too. I didn't fill in the entire lip with the liner though because I was hoping not to distort the color too much. 

omg i feel exactly the same way.  a lip tar forget it.  It seems so advanced so much so that I can't handle application. I'll have that sucker in my hair and everywhere except my lips!

 

The last time I placed an order, it took a month for them to send me a shipping notice and for it to get to me. I contacted them 3 different times and never once got a reply.

thanks!  yea it definitely changed the color.  I forgot to use prep n prime.  I've had for a month or so and forgot!  this should help with the application next time. guess I'll go play in eye shadow...or go to bed. darn shame it's only 9pm!  

I want to try a few other liners like Nightmoth and Currant with it to see what I get. I'd have to apply those lightly because they're rather dark but I'm curious. 

 Oh-no! Hope you do get a response from them soon! I also hope they don't take long to do so.

Please share your look! I'm having a bit of trouble thinking up good combos for MB, besides this one. I don't like it with Jete on me. Jete and Swiss Chocolate or Handwritten are good, though. I might try Moth Bron with Woodwinked for contrast, don't know if that would look good. I'll let you all know. Oh, I bet MB would look good with Seedy Pearl!
