Autumn Leaves is really lovely. It's a sophisticated burnt orange. I like it a lot. I generally wear whatever color my mood feels like, but it's a perfect fall color if you're into seasons.

Ooh so the collection is up on Sephora now http://www.sephora.com/search/search.jsp?keyword=Nars%20Andy%20Warhol&_requestid=405521
I was so excited about this collection in the beginning, but now that I can actually buy it I feel so underwhelmed. Thinking of the Debbie Harry palette but I think I'll wait for swatches...
I know what you mean. I was thinking about getting the Lip Gloss Coffret at first, but now probably not.

Yes exactly. The few reviews of them that I saw seemed very bad. Maybe the Nordstrom release will be more exciting? I was going to get the little Walk on the Wild side set but the nailpolish is only .25 ounces, it seems so sad...

How many ounces are NARS nail polishes normally? .25 ounces seems so small. I wanted to check out the non-set polishes that are also being released with this collection. I may only end up with my "normal" NARS order of blushes and nothing from the holiday collection. My "special" NARS purchase may be the Foreplay blush palette. I don't own Orgasm, but I like the idea of being able to customize the color.

The reg. nail polishes have .5 ounces, so half the size. I'm hoping I cam check everything out in person at Sephora to really decide for or against.
That Foreplay palette seems lovely if you don't already have Orgasm, you should go for it!

Ya, I agree about not always going by her ratings. I feel like I couldn't use the self portrait palettes or the flowers palettes because I don't want to ruin the overspray, it's just too cool looking so for me it would def. just be to look at.
The nail polish colors are pretty, I love Nars's nailpolish formula.

Looking forward to your review. I'm kind of tempted by this one, I have to say. Although I have so many black sparkly shadows and purple shadows that I really shouldn't be. It's actually the look of the blushes that intrigues me. But Nars has such nice everyday blushes that I'm not sure I need those either...

Let me know that you think ladies. I swatched the shadows in Sephora yesterday, and the purple did not make me happy at all. the turquoise was better, but not by much. it was a little blah. the colors are just not that pigmented for what I expect for NARS.
I am inspired by the palette, love the colors together.

Don't tell me that!

Sometimes Nars shadows swatch terribly, but you can get them to work when you apply them. I hope that's the case. They all just look so pretty together.

This little Sephora tutorial really shows off the Debbie Harry palette...

Thanks for the link! The little video makes the palette seem so appealing now. It looks really good on the model.

Yesss it makes me want to get it. There's also another tutorial with the flowers 3 palette but I think I would only buy one of the flower palettes as a collectors item that I wouldn't actually use...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKt1jPcVYZo&feature=youtube_gdata_player
That might be the case. I don't think I am willing to work with the purple though, especially since I have some really good purples already. Let me know.
I think I am going to go after a MUFE turquoise since I have MUFE #92 and create a look with those.

OK, I saw the kits and sets yesterday IRL and I am so disappointed.
The Flower e/s palettes are pretty and pigmented but the colors are easily dupable.
The Walk on the Wild Side kit is nice but the n/p has been done before and the l/g is Super Orgasm which alot of people already have. There was no tester for the Silver Factory Illuminator but it looks like a silver version of Luxor and I am not paying $39 just for that.
The most disappointing for me was the Debbie Harry Palette. Fallout city and the blush reminds me of a more subdued Super Orgasm. Lots of chunky glitter in the whole thing.
After stating that I liked the Lip Coffret, I actually tried the glosses on. The brushes are uber tiny (Katred I know that is a peeve of yours) and they are super, super sheer. The gorgeous silver one is basically clear with some glitter. Dazzleglasses are much better.
I didn't get to see any of the individual items.
Oh well money saved for the BLKR duo and Chanel Holiday.
Hello everyone! :)

MUFE #72 is a great turquoise. Love it!
The more I see of this palette, the more nervous I get. I jumped the gun. I just love the way everything is packaged together. I'm going to keep an open mind, though. I'll try everything on when I get it before I make a judgement.

I like the way it looks too! I'm sure you can make it work. I need to get #72. There was a also a sugarpill palette with these colors in it.
I love the polishes.

I'm really excited to try that black Nars polish. I usually stay away from black, but the glossiness of it is calling me.

This is the box (you know I'm keeping this, right? How awesome is this? The packaging for Black Room nail polish is next to it)
The cover slips off to reveal the palette
The product, with flash
without flash
I didn't bother to photograph my swatches because frankly, they're terrible. I wasn't discouraged, though because I own several shadows that swatch like hell but perform great. I went to work using these shades over the Nars primer and I have to say that I love these shadows! I used a giant shader brush by a brand called japonesque to pat the turquoise shadow onto one eye. I then put the purple shade on the other eye. I used the black on both eyes in the outer v, in the crease and the bottom lash line. I used the white shadow as a brow and inner eye highlight. I didn't do an ace job because I just wanted to see how well these things worked, so I didn't take pictures. Just trust me when I say these shadows are not duds. Now, they are not neon, vibrant colors, but they don't even look that way in the pan so I didn't expect that. They aren't sheer either and you can build them up by patting. The best shade of the 4 is the black and that really impressed me. Second best I'd say is the purple. The turquoise is really good, but it's softer in pigmentation than the purple, so it's third best for me. I've never had much use for white shadows, but this one does a really good job as a highlight.
As for the glitter we all feared: It's not much of an issue. It doesn't show up much, if at all on the lid. There's a random spec of glitter and there was a bit of fallout, but not a glitter bomb. I'm going to do a full face look with this palette either tomorrow or Thursday so I can try the 2 blushes. I hope they're as good as the shadows. I feel so good about this palette that it makes me want to try that New Wave palette. Am I pushing my luck there?

I got my palette today and I couldn't wait to start playing with it. I snapped pictures along the way:

Good for you! The glitter was never an issue for me, the pigmentation was and I am glad you got the colors to work. they were horrible for me. The packaging IS amazing! When I saw it, I thought it was done right. Andy would be proud!
Now the New Wave palette. Stellar without a second thought. Grab it!

Sorry to hear that.See, now you're tempting me!
I have to take a trip to the mall tomorrow and I know Saks has the New Wave palette. I had just convinced myself I didn't need it. It has one shade in there that I already own from the rated r duo, but that's OK. Well, guess I'll be buying that tomorrow!- NARS Andy Warhol collection
