Feeling fresh e/s turns to a gorgeous Emerald green when used wet. Found this put by using a damp liner brush for my lower waterline!

That makes perfect sense, actually.

-Jaunty is GORGEOUS!!!!!  It is a really nice light neutral beige with just a hint of yellow/gold to it, but without any warmth...if that makes sense.  I find that most of MACs perm shades that are similar are either too peachy or warm for me, but this one is just perfect!  I wore it today over Morning Frost PP with Dark Dare (from ED) to add depth and it was amazing with just those 2 shadows.  It reminds me a bit of Warming Trend, it is much lighter and more neutral, but has the same sort of flavor.

-Barefoot is a perfect gold in my opinion.  It's a fabulous texture, a mid-tone neutral yellow gold (much less yellow than Goldmine), and seems to have an ethereal extra gold reflection as well.  Like a gold with another gold duochrome if that was at all possible.  I am always on the hunt for good gold shadows, and in my large stash of LE MAC I don't have another gold as good as this one.  I should probably buy a back up!

-Feeling Fresh was interesting and the color was very vibrant and pigmented, but I found the shadow quite "dry".  For some reason I think that a color like this needs to be moist and buttery, like a veluxe pearl, so when i swatched it I was immediately turned off.  I would rather use Landscape Green pigment and then layer something frosty over the top to get the look that I wanted this shadow to have.  That said, perhaps over Emerald Sea liner it would have the density and shimmer that I feel this color deserves.

-Fleet Fast was SO MUCH PRETTIER IN PERSON than all the pictures I have seen!!!!!  In photos it looked kind of dirty and drab, but IRL it is beautiful "realistic" coral, and looks glowing and natural on the cheeks.  SO glad I decided to buy it at the last moment, and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is on the fence!  I also thought it might look just like Early Morning blush from Naturally, but it is pinker, fresher, and less shimmery...but it is similar.

I managed to walk away from everything else in this collection and I think I am OK with that, but I may go back for back ups of Jaunty and Barefoot.  ( I would rather back up all of my shadows from ED instead because those puppies are AMAZING!!!!!!)

Hope that helps!  If anyone wants comparison swatches of Jaunty or Barefoot or Fleet Fast next to other shadows or blushes just ask!

:)

I'm always on the lookout for a more "neutral" gold. I have Goldmine, but I don't use it often, because it's quite warm/ orange on me. Both Jaunty and Barefoot are waving to me, it seems. Sorry to know that Feeling Fresh was a bit of a disappointment, but I'll be kind of glad if I don't have an excuse to get another bright green shadow. I already have a few and while I love them, I'm limited as to when I can wear them.

Absolute YAY. You look beautiful and I love the way you've incorporated bright shades into both the eyes and lips- so summery!!

- TCAS lippy (love that one on PinkDollFace, and I think this is the most original of the collxn)

- Feeling Fresh e/s (this jumped on my list, it looks gorgeous)

- Jaunty e/s (gotta have it if its like Naked lunch with more yellow tones)

- Fleet Fast p/b

- Crew (this jumped on my list due to comparisons with the Vera face products!)

- Sun Dipped bronzer

- 168

These are now in the maybe pile:

- Sail La Vie lippy (I think I can use an orange liner I have instead & skip this, but I love the lipstick case with the cute stripes)

- Gone Sailing tote (I probably won't get it in time before the dreaded OOS of doom)

- Au Rose suntint (not sure its a need)

- 167SH

- Shore Leave PL l/p (I will probably get it because the PL pencils are long lasting and can double as a full lip application product/very matte lipstick)  and Iove the color

- Man Rays body oil (it looks like a fairly unique product)

I wish I could say this is the list I am sticking to, I will probably waffle some more.  At least I have the luxury of doing this since we have gobs of swatches before the do or die moment

Did I miss the comparisons of Crew and the Vera face products? Were there swatches? Are they similar? Can anyone help me?! Pretty please?

Pfff Mac is ruining my sleep. Couldn`t rest last night because I was debating with myself over shore leave lippencil. My lips are quite pigmented and I m afraid it won`t look coral but neutral and paying 20$ for a lippencil that`s not  what I want is something I don`t want to do. Such a small thing, I rather have my sleep, lol.

I got Soft Sand and just quickly tried it today with the 129. I will have to try it with other brushes.

BTW the bronzing powder packaging is so cute! heart.gif

I know both are discontinued, but they still had them in the pro store in Amsterdam. I think the 184 was a pro only brush and the 138 a freestanding store only, so if you have one of these close to you, you might be able to find them.

I love the bronzer packaging as well!

Thank you ladies! Feeling Fresh can work in so many ways! I got stopped a few times yesterday about my eye makeup - Feeling Fresh really stood out with Barefoot and any blue eyeshadow.

I just got Jaunty and Nautical Navy put on hold at my local MAC - I don't know why I didn't pick these two up before but I wasn't sleeping thinking I might miss out so I'm going back to MAC lol!

Out of curiosity are there any dupes of Jaunty that can be found in Naked Palette 1 or 2? or from MAC? Or should I just buy the shade angelic.gif

YAY! They look lovely on you! If I remember correctly, you also purchased Sun Dipped PLW Bronzer? I'm an NC40 at the moment, but it won't be long until I'm an NC42 with summer around the corner. I'm curious to see how Sun Dipped would look on the face on skintones NC40 and up.

You look beautiful[/U!!!] Personally, I think Red Racer pulls the look together. Did u do a tutorial on this look? Is it in English? Because I need some serious tips on how to apply Bronzer. I'm a Bronzer virgin. BTW what did you use to highlight your eyes? Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I do have Sun Dipped, I haven't tried it out on the face but will wear it later on today and come back to let you know how I found it...but from the look of things I think it will warm me up and look sun kissed! I'll definitely let you know today thmbup.gif

I'm NW15-20 not NC20. smiles.gif

Antique = Light olive, yellow, or brown undertones that makes the shade look "aged."

I do apologize MAC Guy, I guess I saw the 20 and blanked out after that...I just would like to have some clue of the Bronzer I should have my eye on when I go to the event. I know what I like and what I don't. But this bronzer business is uncharted territory to me, I don't want to get the wrong one. Sometimes I feel like these MUA want to just slap the MU on to make a sale and move on to the next customer, (except Susan).

Thanks for answering my antique question. Would you say it's somewhat of a few-a-chrome???

TIA

Thank you so much! Your right Red Racer does pull the look together, that's why I included a photo without it on so you could see how the whole look appears. I haven't done a tutorial on this look but if you'd like me to let me know and I will!

Bronzer tips - if you want an all over bronzed look then you can apply it all over the face EXTREMELY lightly - you don't want to look well tango orange you want to look sun kissed, I use a fluffy bronzer brush apply bronzer along my cheek bones, foreheard and blend downwards towards my neck!

My other everyday application of bronzer is 'Contouring', where I apply bronzer on the hollows of my cheeks, sweeped lightly across my temples and sides of my forehead near my hair line, and around my jaw line to create angles.  make sure to blend out the bronzer so it looks even.

I used barefoot e/s as my inner corner highlight and as a eye brow highlight I used Brule by MAC also.

Hope this helps, let me know if there is anything else xxxx

Thanks for the link to your blog, Xasperadastra. The pictures are great and look good on you.

Yesterday you posted the green eyeliner pic & I replied by saying it helped me cross it off my list. I thought about how mean that sounded, therefore let me explain. I am an eyeliner whore. I'll never use all my e/l before I go to the MAC store in the sky (is that what it's like? Please say so, except I want my whole family, my furkids & my DH)...sorry for the tangent. Therefore with all the greens I have I can't say it stands out in a special way to me...that is until I see it on the 24th. It all goes downhill when I see it in person.

Thank you for listening to me babble.

Gracie, What are your intail thoughts on it? Are you using it as a highlighter? Is it highly shimmery? What is the predominent color?

I think Pinkdollface said she was using it as a blush, excuse me if I'm incorrect on that.

Thank you!

With all this Red Racer Porn, I'm so excited to get my hands on my new goods. But now since I own a whole slew of red lippies, I'm having this weird fear that it won't look good on me or work with my skin tone. The anticipation is killing me!

I have to have a medical test/procedure 2days before the launch, I hope nothing serious happens to preclude me from getting my haul! puke.gif ugh so nervous.

That makes perfect sense. I'm really glad you talk so much about red-based bronzers. If you wouldn't i would have gone with NOB, because that's what the MA applied first on me.

I'm confused. Pinkdollface, you are a NC 15-20, correct? &the Bronzer that looks best on you is the ____________ (Sun Dipped, am I right???) if so SD is more red based and looks more natural, am I correct?

It's hard to remember who bought what and how it worked for them.

Also, didn't you say that you bought Crew and have been wearing it as a blush? What is the primary color that shows up on you? If you are using it as a highlighter do you like it? And again what color is showing up? Is there a lot of shimmer in it? TIA.
