Eep! I'm stressing that this collection will be released online before a decent number of swatches come out.

I really want a bronzer from the collection. I already have 'Golden' from the permanent collection, so I was hoping for something slightly darker to add more dimension.

I'm super pale (lighter than NC15) with slightly cool undertones. Recommendations pretty please :)

Regular shipping gets me my order in 7 to 8 days (I am in the western part of the USA) and with 2-Day shipping I get my package within 3 to 4 days. So there is a difference not just in the processing time but in the actual transit time, which is clearly stated on MAC's website. Maybe it doesn't hold true if you live near the East Coast, I don't know th_confused_new.gif

I don't know I just think its a waist of money getting 2 day shipping or whatever because it's going to come eventually and sometimes for me when I get regular shipping online it usually comes 3-4 days or less. I guess it depends on where it's shipped from. I guess from the west coast it's a difference lol. I've never ordered anything online on Mac, so I will see how fast or low it comes on regular shipping.

Personally, I would recommend Nude on Board if you have noticable yellow / olive undertones and apply it lightly (for example using the 167 brush). Pinkdollface is also NC 15 but she uses Sun Dipped. Or you could try the matte bronzer from the permanent line.

Lol, it feels wrong to write this but I truly think that Crew is a pretty waste of money for you. For reference I'm Nw10 and I've stood by and looked at the pretty summer specials for two years in a row just wishing my skin was a bit warmer.

Thank you so much - I''ve suspected that was true but have been lured by how pretty it is.

I just got back into MAC last fall; where was I when they released My Paradise and Marine Life (both of which would have been perfect)?! crybaby.gif

I have Matte Bronze from the permanent; I think I'm going to go for Nude on Board this time, but I'll wait to swatch in the store. I have yellow undertones and as long as it isn't too shimmery, I think it will work for me.

It's not shimmery on me.

i've had both situations happen to me. usually i'm not in that big of a hurry to receive my items, so i just pick whatever shipment i can afford, and see what comes out of it!

Absolutely.

One a related note: My package is already out for delivery. pompom.gifSo yes, overnight shipping can really work (in a literal sense), though usually it takes at least two days until it gets to me.

The Canadian warehouse is close to me, so I often get items I order the next day, but have never upgraded shipping (I order enough to get free shipping).

YAY! I just got the lip pencils, salute, red racer, sail la vie lipsticks, fast fleet blush, the brush & the  large tote

On a side note, does anyone see the green ribbons icons under my photo to the left?? I don't know what it means

It's a nice sheen, but not a shimmer. :-)

The oils were very lovely but I am too old for that kind of product.

LOL  I have been wearing the bronze one for two years and love it.  I don't think age would be an issue with it- it is quite subtle.

I was thinking that a lighter bronzer would be good as an all over wash of colour; I tend to use Matte Bronze in lieu of blush.

BTW, you have me concerned re the N3/C3 thing; I called and asked them to hold my order yesterday. I like the way N3 looks on me, but I'm going to get a tester for C3 to be certain. My inner arm is NC20, but my face is darker and my cheeks have more red. The person I spoke to on the phone said I sound more like C3 to her.

All I want is the right foundation. Is that too much to ask? I've been told I'm NC30, NC25-27, NC35-40 (?!), C4 and now N3. All in a week. ohboy.gif

They're viewable only by you, but they're 'thanks' you receive from people via the green thumb icon at the bottom of your post.

Haha, I know the feeling. Over the course of a week, I got matched to NC 42, which blew my mind b/c while I'm not super fair skinned, I knew I wasn't THAT dark. Got matched later on (by two different MUA) and was told that I was NC25-NC30, which was what i originally thought I was.

It's frustrating. I usually wear Studio Moisture Tint in medium and Blot Powder in medium. Both are fine, but they aren't covering the redness in my cheeks. I went in to a counter and was sold a mineralized powder that gave me cystic acne. Scratch that. Took it back and they matched me to Studio Fix Powder NC30 (after suggesting NC35). When I went outside with that, I looked like my face was dirty. I went back in and they went down to NC30.

It wasn't really right either and I happened to mention at the counter that MAC foundations just aren't right for me. The artist who often helps me asked what I had and said I was at most a NC25 and to please bring the Studio Fix back. I did, but she was gone by then and the next person tried to match me to C4 (Careblend?). I mentioned that it seemed dark and she said that it was a match for NC35-40. It's ridiculous. I feel like they're matching the darkest part of my cheeks, not my jawline. That artist insisted that my face was darker than my neck and chest (about NC25). I didn't buy the C4; when I went outside I looked like I had a mask on.

I went to the freestanding store and asked the MUA I really like to help. He asked what I was trying to accomplish (natural looking coverage but tone down the redness) and he matched me to N3. I asked about the undertone thing and he said that he felt it would be better at toning down the colour.

Mac Guy mentioned that N colours usually mean NW (clearly not me) so I'm second guessing the N3. I'm just commitment phobic at this point.

Update: I just called MAC back and had a lengthy conversation with a senior artist who said she's been there 14 years. She said that matching lighter tones can be tricky but finds N3 in Face and Body to be fairly neutral, and it's what she would recommend for me in that particular formula (but not in any others). I am happy with the N3 sample I've been using so I think I'll just go with that; it's certainly not as light as inner arms, but it's not noticeably darker than my neck and chest either and everything else has been (although I've obviously blended into my neck).

Is it soft?  I am thinking it might even work well for Guerlain meteorites

nanaparty.gif That was fast!

Now I'm wondering if I should go back in and place another order for the bronzer and brush icon_eek.gif

It's very soft. Love it!

Wouldn't use it for MSF though, but for softer products, such as the PLW bronzer, it is is ideal. However, using it with firmly pressed powders will cause the brush to splay.

I wouldn't use it for MSF either.  I prefer the 187 brush for that.  However, powders that have a lighter sheerer texture I am thinking might do well with this brush.

How about applying to face w/ another brush and using this one to gently blend?  I have the flat topped kabuki which is dense for intense blending, but wondering what purposes I could make this one work for.

Do you think it would work with the Guerlain meteorites?  They are little balls that move around in the container, so not really a firm flat powder.

Mac-Guy, would you only recommend the brush for the PLW bronzers, or all bronzers? I'm torn between the 167 and 168 but want to buy one of them. Thanks. :)

I will only use it for the PLW's. As the product is so soft, a harder brush would pick up too much product.

Here is a picture of the palette:

I haven't been able to find pictures that do it justice but Karen has some nice swatches. The shadows have a metallic type finish.

MAC Guy, what is the name of the bronzer that you and Liba love so much? It is from a previous collection.

Glad you posted this!  It may reveal that I like EL, which is said to be an old lady brand, hey, you got me there, but I think this palette takes out most of the other summer palettes I have seen.  I did narrow my list for Hey Sailor accordingly, and I am skipping the blushes, most of the lippies and all that.

Crew, Nude On Board, Jaunty and Feeling Fresh, TCaS lipstick, Shore leave pencil and the tote.  My final haul.
