The trick is to cancel out the redness first - the emphasis on cancelling it out rather than trying to cover it. I use a tiny amount of Studio Sculpt and mix it with a drop of F&B mixing medium. Apply it to the cheeks and blend it out from there. I use the Set Powder in Soft Yellow to set and further cancel our redness - only apply it to the redness. Mind you, this does not cover redness completely, but it evens out the skin tone and prepares it for shades like Fleet Fast that would be too pink/coral on bare skin for pale NW complexions. Finally, I strongly recommend using a contour color that is neutral-cool (rather than a brown or beige one) as the shadowing will nicely complement the coral in FF without looking too pinkish. Yes I was very responsible, and I still managed to be 15 minutes early for work! I was pretty impressed with myself :)

So my box was supposed to arrive today so I went outside to see if it arrived yet and it didn't. So I came back in and looked up the tracking information and apparently it was delivered 20 minutes ago... uh..MAC!?

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner! I didn't notice this until I skimmed through past posts. I'm sure you might have gotten answers already, but I didn't want to ignore you, haha. 

I swatched/pre-ordered this at Nordies, so I haven't had a lot of time to play w/ this yet. Picking it up on Thurs but I'm not sure how it'll look w/ redness in the cheeks. Ny initial thought is that it might help bring the peachiness of the blush out? Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. 

From my initial swatch, it was definitely a beautiful coral, peachy pink. Like the TC blushes, it blended out beautifully and the sheen helped make my cheeks look like I had a natural, "I've just been in the sun" glow.

yay! my ordered came this morning.  i love everything. i was a little scared of fleet fast, i thought it would be to light on my skin tone ( im nw45 mac) but its gorg and salute is a very nice lipstick i used chestnut lipliner and orange tampera lipgloss its just lovely. getting red racer on thursday and nautical navy 

I'm not caught up on this thread but I need to post my initial thoughts before I forget them.  I got my box today.

I got:

-Jaunty eyeshadow - haven't swatched yet but it looks like a color I will love.  I love all of these neutral taupey colors

-Barefoot eyeshadow - love all golds - someone mentioned henna and I am reminded of it too - I must go dig that one out to compare

-Fleet Fast blush - Love it!  Did I need it? No - I have bought so many of these corally pink blushes this season.  But it is really pretty.

-Crew highlighter - I'm not caring about the colors so much.  I really bought it for highlighter use, not blush so I'm fine with the changing color layers - I just tried this on top of my already made up face and I was just seeing a white color.  I did remind me of how Lightscapade was looking on me.  I must play around with this more.

-To Catch a Sailor - Oh I should have listened to my Specktra friends and skipped this one.  The frost is not bothering me but it is just too light for me.  It almost looks white on my lips - ick!  I did put 
-Blessedly Rich on top of it and I really like the look of them together.

-Riviera Life - I added this one in at the last minute. I just put a bit on my bottom lip and smooshed them together.  It looks like a full application.  Boy is this orange!  I do think Chanel Calypso looks more red than this one.  It looks pure orange to me.  I really like it though.  I may turn into a bright lips girl with this one.

-Emerald Sea power point pencil - I haven't used this yet, just swatched but I had to get it because I have made it my business to own all mac green eye liners

-Au Rose Sun Tint - haven't tried yet

-SunDipped Bronzer - I meant to wait to try this in store but somehow it ended up in my cart.  I was really looking for a lighter bronzer to use in winter months.  I'm pretty happy with Stila Sun 2 - my favorite and refined golden (second fave) but I find them to be too much when I want to slightly warm up my winter pale skin.  I put sundipped under the cheek bones and I can see it but on my temples it looks a little ashy. This might work for winter but definitely not now.  I don't know why but it just occurred to me to look for a winter bronzer in winter tirme.  Yikes!

167 SH brush - I haven't tried this yet but I really love mini brushes so I had to get it.

I debated whether or not I should post this mini review.  I just got the stuff and I already have a full face of makeup on but I know if I wait, it just may not happen.  I went shopping yesterday and I'm on product overload. I figured I should post in case it helps someone who is going to the stores on Thursday.

Im glad that crew highlighter reminds you of lightscapade because i swatch lightscapade at the store last week and i liked how it looked on me but iw anted to see crew first .

OMG to catch a sailor looked white?!? uggh. i thought it was going to be like a nice golden color :(

I've got 2 lists! One for my personal favorites and one for the nicest products overall:

My faves: Sail la Vie > Riviera Life > Send Me Sailing > Salute > Seaside body oil

Overall nicest (in no particular order): Fleet Fast, Sun Dipped, Send Me Sailing, Sail la Vie, 167SH (it's sooo soft!)

The drawback for me with Crew is it's quite glittery, which seriously limits it for my skin. It doesn't show pores and the glitter is clear, but I find the sparkles combined with the overall texture accentuate any dryness or fine lines on me - I'd have to be having my best skin days for it not to be artificial looking. Also, that level of glitter I can't really use from the end of fall, through winter into early spring...I only like glitter in very summery situations. I think I'm also biased because the EDSFs are so perfect and flattering for me, that anything without that beautiful sheer finish is a step down in my mind. I think Crew is best on younger folks than I.

I love the look of Salute.  I'm glad you made it work.  I'm so tempted to get it but I don't do nudes to well.  But Salute is such an interesting color.  I would love to see a pic of this look if you can.

Well it really reminds me of how the Beigescapade looked on me.  I didn't find a Lightscapade with all the coveted blue veining.  It did have a touch of blue though.  The To Catch a Sailor was more more like an off white.  I didn't like it.  I thought it would be more brown on me.  But your skin tone and lip color might make it work.  You ordered it already right?  Let us know how it works for you.

I think I'm going to take my chances and wait and see if the bags show up at a CCO.  I was just at the one nearby a week ago and they still had the Fafi totes.  That way I can get them for a discount.  And if they don't show up there, it wasn't meant to be.  But I'm sure a lot of people will find they bags pricey and will skip them... Fingers crossed!

Uh oh! I never have stuff delivered to my house because the mail man just leaves them on the front door and anybody can steal them. Did you try looking around your front door/patio? I know my old guy used to hide my packages behind plants, chairs etc. I hope you find it :(

Definitely --  I have both Vera powders -- (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE) and so am saving money by skipping Crew. Although as soon as I decide to skip something I just add another product to my list so not really saving any money.

It seems like more of a shimmer than glitter to me...it wasn't even all that shimmery to be honest.

Same...I like the tote but it's just too much for me :/

Yeah, I don't think many people go for the makeup bags! My local CCO has had the Wonder Woman and Surf Baby ones for aaaaaaages

I bet it has something to do with which brush you use and how lightly you grab product off the top - I probably got a lot of the white color on my face when I tried it on last week because it was a freshly opened tester and I didn't want to go rough on their display. 

At least it's that pretty transparent mica sparkle - I wish that stuff wasn't so drying on me.

I don't, either. And I hate anything glittery on my face. I get a very soft focus effect with this one, even less pearly than the beauty powders and pearlmatte powders.

Also, the more you use it, the color gets deeper and more pinky peach.

My favorite product of the collection would have to be Soft Sand Bronzing Powder, just because that's the one thing I have used the most since I got it. Haven't worn Crew and the blushes much, I definitely need to do that. I'm NW10-15, so bronzers are a little scary for me, but I think Soft Sand is great for paler beauties, it's hard to over do even if you tend to have a heavy hand with blushes and such (like me). Every time I've worn it I've gotten compliments on how good and healthy I look. Apparently people are not used to see me like that, LOL.

Now I need more bronzers!

       hi, spanky, i definately respect your opinion regarding the last concert. must people didnt even  like the album hard candy. but you see they thing is that i feel like this Madge's last concert,    at least the one she dances in or moves around like a crazy b.... (not that im killing the queen) and then i have every single madonna album, cd single, books. im a freak. 

       your not offending anyone by stating your opinion girl!! im a crazy madonna fan but a respectful one!!
