I missed a few pages of posts. May I ask why u canceled Sun Dipped??? Enjoy ur Albatross!

I bought Lush Light Bronze from the Surf Baby collx. & my husband did not like it on me. To bronze or not to bronze...at least I got a slight discount on the LLB.

I've been dying to get Albatross ever since Shellcat sang it's praises. I've recently become addicted to HL, therefore Albie is near the top of my wish list. Sephora needs to have another f & f discount so I can have a NARS haul. Please PM me if u can know of any must haves for NC20s. I have a few of their ES, which I loooove & one ES pencil, but no blushes or lippies yet.

1. I'm not sure what dupes exist for Hibiscus. I've heard that Toxic Tale is a brighter, pinker lippie, but I believe that was LE also. You may want to check your local CCO if you want Hibiscus. If they don't have it available/you're unable to get there, my CCO still has it in stock and I'd be more than happy to head over and pick one up for you this weekend.

I wonder how nude on board compares to the bobbi brown gold color in the Miami collection.   They also have a lippie that reminds me of flamingo. 

 

Any ideas on how nude on board will look on golden nc44 skin? Any ideas if it is like the gold in the wonder woman msf from last year?   Golden Lariat.  (BTW, I forgot how pretty the coral was in that palette).

 

Is fleet fast like lovecloud? 

 

Fleet fast is reminding me of  Sur and Bit of an Apple in some swatches. 

It depends on the skintone. 

 

The bronzers are pretty, but I need to see them more on woc, and I have a feeling I can skip and find better, or just as good stuff out there.  I know I'm looking for something that will add a lil color and one to sculpt.  That's all I know. LOL

I love the eyeliners, but I wanted them for the waterline...  So I am regrettably skipping. 

 

I think I want the lip tint.  Just to throw some color on.

 

I saw a pic of someone with golden undertones wearing salute... purty... 

 

The next thing I'll buy, blindly are the red/orange lipglosses. 

 

Well my box came.   gonna go play, after I watch nurse jackie, and cook! LOL

received my HS order today! I got Crew, Fleet Fast, and Launch Away. My first thoughts are I LOVE the packaging, a lot more than I thought I would! The blushes are both really beautiful, loving the newer mac blushes. Crew looks awesome, wish there was more of the purple color!

 

I am leaving for Hawaii on Thursday morning, and after reading all the great reviews on the 167SH so I ordered it on the mac site and upgraded to overnight shipping for five bucks so I get it before I leave :) it will be the perfect travel brush.

I think every office is suppossed to have a really bizarre person, it makes things...interesting, especially when u have to sit near them! it's similar to the rule in school that there is the 1 person that always has to ask questions or keep the discussion going, long after it should, just so they can look superior & more knowledable than everyone else!

 SPANKY!! in the surf baby thread it was mention that a dupe for hibiscus was Sheen supreme korean candy for some. since i have both i did this swatches.

maybelline Coral Crush, SS Korean Candy, Hibiscus, Watch Me Simmer

 

 

H is a similar to  WMS but you can see the Orange in H more than WMS 

KC is really similar but its way more Orange next to each other you can see the pink/red undertones of H

the maybelline CC is way more pink and its more of a close dupe for WMS

 in here you can see how the flash picks up the pink in Hibiscus compare to the Orange in KC

I knew all along that Crew would be too cold toned for me, but it was so pretty that I wanted it to work. I finally got to swatch it yesterday, and it's just as cool as I imagined. I don't doubt that someone with cooler or more neutral skin tones would see warmth in this, but on my skin it was almost a sheer candy floss pink. Not a good look for someone with my yellow undertones. I could see it looking gorgeous on someone who could carry that colour, but I think I recall you saying that pink isn't your friend.

While I'm far from an expert, Crew also seems like more of a light blush than a true highlighter for paler skintones. It sounds like you're lusting after a highlighter, so this might not be the right product for you, even if the colour is to your liking.

See, Audrey I had a feeling about u! Thank u! U couldn't be more right about talkin' my a-- down about Crew. As much as I want to love Crew I'm so unsure it's not worth it to throw $ like that. I've posted a million times that people can't seem to find its place in their repetoire & several people, whom I trust their style & recommendations just straight up said they did NOT like it & not to waste the $. I'm not even going to swatch it! I swear!

It's similar to Lightscapade...i know its people's HG HL & I just recently got addicted to HL, therefore I may be totally missing out, but when I swatched it, I was immediately deflated. For my skin tone & taste it did nothing for me.

So, I'm going to be sensible & save my HL fulfillment to Albatross, hoping that it works for me & at least 1 of the HLs from HC!

I am usually an enabler but what Audrey said here is right. When I swatched (with my finger, but still) Crew it did not seem like a highlighter one bit to me. I am NC10. I don't even think it would be a light blush on me unless I use a fan or stippling brush to apply it, it seemed rather normal-blush-pigmented on my arm and it wasn't even all that shimmery. 

And this is coming from somebody who is quite excited to get Crew!

Thank u to Audrey C., FadBurger & PixieDancer for saving me from Crew. It's officially off my list! crew. Will not even swatch! Promise!

What do other fair skinned ladies think about TCAS??? I was hoping this would be a neat nude! Please let me know ur thoughts. It looked great on Pinkdollface but I don't recall seeing it ON anyone else.

I debated whether or not I should post this mini review.  I just got the stuff and I already have a full face of makeup on but I know if I wait, it just may not happen.  I went shopping yesterday and I'm on product overload. I figured I should post in case it helps someone who is going to the stores on Thursday.

You are correct MACerette...that was the whole reason I bought the Ver's in the firstplace! I'm over Crew envy! I promise. I asked for a anti MU sponsor & quite a few have stepped up to this....ask & ye shall receive! Thanks everyone for looking out for me. Definitely --  I have both Vera powders -- (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE) and so am saving money by skipping Crew. Although as soon as I decide to skip something I just add another product to my list so not really saving any money.
