Look what we did - or look what YOU did??? ![]()
What do you think of Deep Throat and Lustre? I tried Lustre but I found it too shimmery for me. I'm most interested in Gilda but they don't have it at Sephora. Might have to wait until my next US trip; I'd want to try it on me.
You can order it online from the Canadian web site. You can actually find a lot of stuff there that can be hit-or-miss anywhere else.

BEEmakeup - I picked up Hover lip pencil due to your suggestion. I tried to get Have to Have it but it was out of stock. The MA suggested Nice N Spicy as a replacement. I also picked up orange tempera. I forgot all about the white lipgloss. I should have picked it up. When I had a Chanel makeover the SA put a pink lipstick on me with a white gloss in the center and I loved it. I didn't want to get the Chanel one so the Mac would have been nice. Oh well, I will have to make another trip.

Have to Have It and Cut Loose (the white lipglass) are still available on the website. How are you liking Hover?

Ahh good. Every time I try to shop on there I'm always overwhelmed by the choices there are haha. Eventually I will place an order with some good NYX goodies!
I made an attempt at a smokey eye, which I probably could have added more "smoke" lol, but you get the idea with the eyeliner.
I used some bronzer, too as per Liba's suggestion blended with some Launch Away blush.
I'm really happy with how it turned out! I think it made Salute a little more wearable for me.
Very sexy! Classy vixen look!

I ended up not getting Red Racer because it seemed warmer than I'd like...but I still really want to try a nice red lipstick. Does anybody know a good blue-based red lipstick that is shiny and/or moisturizing? I was hoping to get a MAC one, but it seems all their regular catalog reds are matte...

Maybe you would like Mac Red? That's a satin.

I ended up getting that e/s in Feeling Fresh (which I love love love love) and it was the only thing I should have gotten. I got Sail La Vie just because. And I picked up that suntint in Au Rose which I returned because it was too sticky and the sand on the beach got into it and it was gross. I don't like MAC l/g or anything they make for the lips that sticky and glittery - I will make exception for Dazzleglasses that I wear for special occassions - but it went back.
Highlight of this collection for me was Feeling Fresh...perfect for summer and the beach!

WOAH Holy Hell My Lordie! I'm almost on the verge of thinking you are an Angel Muse sent from MAC lipstick heaven!
AGAIN you look fantastic! I cannot believe you are working Salute so perfectly! When you mentioned you got it, I thought to myself... I doubt it will work for her, because I swear I haven't seen a FOTD where I liked it yet... BUT AS USUAL... You can wear anything!! And this eye look is... (insert ANY adjective that means it looks "better than the best" since I'm out of ideas to describe you without getting a Thesaurus)...

What were your favorite items from this collection? So far, my love for SLV knows no limits and FF blush is just beautiful! JUST received my SD bronzer today on yours and Shellcats recommendations... So, I'll try that tomorrow with Crew.

Thank you
I appreciate the compliment! I don't do smokey eyes very often, I'm still trying to find the confidence a good technique and the blending is ahh, very intimidating at times. I'm still learning but I'm pleased that I feel like I am making progress on not looking bruise-ish lol. I thought Pink Rose would look great with the corals (I had WMS and FOL in mind), plus I just love the sheen!
Aww thanks Purple Popcorn and UrbanSweetheart! It was a lot of fun shopping my stash to come up with colors that would pair well with Salute. I think that's the key right there, and I would have tried to figure out a way to change the lipstick itself if it hadn't been for the great feedback on here! :-D thanks again to Liba and Peachsuns specifically for recommending bronzer and a smokey eye!!

Wellllllll I'm not gonna lie: I did buy Salute with the intention that it wouldn't work out lol. Generally I just buy colors that I like and think that the colors that I don't like aren't going to be flattering, anyway. Like a big ol' floppy sun hat at the department store. So, since Salute looks so...."out there", it reminded me of picking up that sun hat, knowing it will probably look ridiculous, because why the hell not?! lol Now I'm a little skeptical of myself, too
lol, in any case, thank you a BAJILLION times over for your feedback and compliments!
And above all, helping me step outside my lipstick color comfort zone! SLV is inching its way up there with Pink Pigeon on my "most worn" list, for sure!

So far, HS is my favorite collection of 2012 (next to TC, but as it was "just" blushes, I don't count TC as a full collection).
Anyways, I'm always loving the big summer collections.
I think my fav collection is Shop/Cook, in terms of products I use religiously. All the fluidlines, all the lipsticks, the tendertones, ahhhh. I hauled about 90% of that collection, too lol.

Jaunty is my top favorite from this collection! So versatile by itself or blended with other colors. Launch Away is great, too. And my lipsticks, can't get enough of them!

I haven't been around for many of the collections this year, I missed out on IA :( but my fav that I've been around for would have to be S3/C3. I picked up all the quads, 2 l/s and a KLC. I'd have gotten more if it all hadn't sold out before I could get my hands on them.
HS/RS have been great though. Loving RS lipsticks and Lightscapade and HS e/s's.
Agree on TC - not a "full" collection but I love the 3 I picked up. :)

Me too! I'm using it daily. ![]()
This is my first year of purchasing LE items; I've purchased some in the past, but it wasn't deliberate. Most of my stuff is perm; I love MAC's perm line. What I'm having fun with in the LE launches is the more trendy colours. My days of neons and uber brights are over, but I'm enjoying colours like Star Quality that I'll finish and then move onto the next thing.
HS is the biggest haul I've ever done from a single collection (non-perm). Eight items is a lot for me from a single collection. I'm enjoying everything. Doesn't matter to me in the least if some of it is similar to what came before; it's new to me. ![]()

ooooh, I came late to the restock but I hauled Crystal Avalanche (special packaging pushed it over the edge), Prolongwear l/p in the red color, Fleet Fast (could not resist), and Feeling Fresh!
BTW, I finally got over my "its too pretty to mess with" inhibition and used Crew for the first time--OMG. Perfect pink blush. Not sure why this was identified as a highlighter, it makes a great soft blush that looks, well, like a light flush. Probably only on relatively pale girls, but I love this paired with very light bronzer (Hello, Sundipped). Great for that "I'm not made up" make up look. Crew was for sure the highlight of the collection for me...

This is probably a good strategy, the problem is I just got paid and have almost zero impulse control. I think once we see swatches, the HC will be more manageable in terms of stuff I actually want to haul (I am hoping anyway!)

Crew works as a blush for me too! I am way too pale for it to be a highlight. I love it though... it's so very pretty!
